Have to say, I'm really happy that MTH updated the detail and dimensions from the old GS4 set they made a decade a go. The new one shocked me when I saw it at the hobby store, I thought it was an $800+ Premier line locomotive (was $380). With a new sound board for the old, pudgy and non-prototypical GS4 I have now going for around $300, I think I'll get the new version and relegate the old one to the mantle.
I agree with the suggestion here given. The camera on flat car gives us the the view like we wer engineers at the throttle. I like the trains here illustrated SP DAYLIGHT and NW POWHATTAN ARROW.
When I was doing video shoots in confined areas where a tripod was not practical, I would use a fine chain attached to a tripod socket screw. It would dangle to the floor and I would step on it and pull up. you get smoother pans than handhold.
I am not sure of the model number but you can find it on the MTH website. The cars were purchased separately from the engine. But they came as a four pack.
Nice layout,, what kind of track do you have. My son and I right now are forced to put up and remove the track alot because of no room. We use Real Trax which is good track but the connections it uses is not made to be temporary,,, just wondering if the track connections you use could handle building and removing over and over. thanks
The two very best looking 4-8-4 steam engines, the streamlined J class built by the Norfolk & Western railroad for their passenger trains that ran I. The 1950's and the GS-4 Lima built 4-8-4 Daylight that ran from the mid 1930 up to 1958 when all steam was gone from the Southern Pacific railroad.
This is what O scale is best for, carpet railroads! I did tons of these with my old Lionel set as a kid. Great video!

Fabulous smoke, locomotives, and sound!
Incredible and super trains and amazing and fantastic layout WOW
Still a great video. Nothing like watching a passenger train run by. I have that same N&W engine and wish I had one like the SP.
Just purchase the MTH gs4 set today and l must say it is a Very Very nice Passenger Set 😘
I love your suspension bridge!

why does your 4449 has a small skyline casing and it dosent have a full weathered cab
Are those engines Railking or Premier. They both look really great
Nice
What if SP 4449 was scrapped?
Itl probably get saved sincw its known as the most beautiful engine if im correct
Then it would no longer exist
Which would you recommend between the norfolk and the pacific? I'm thinking about getting the norfolk next weekend.
Where did you buy the Train
The train at the beginning I have
What type of smoke fluid do you use???
Awsome
Did the sp come in a set?
cool
Where did you get that track from?????
how did you make that bridge?
and what smoke fluid do u use
It is just pine with string as the support wires. But the support wires are just for show. The bridge stands on its own.
megasteam

Sp 4449 N&w 611 double both
This is TORTURE to my brother an I cuz these are our FAVORITE ENGINES 😫
What is the curgve radius on these locomotives?
RyanTheTankEngine 1014 0 -31 all railking and railking imperial locomotives are made to run on this curve type or a similar curve
I was just wondering because me and my father own a Williams Daylight and Norfolk and Western J-class steam locos.
Did could do a Double Header
There are 113 dislikes! What the hell?
