    Here is one for Tyler. Some one on buck snd slug came up with just using used primers. In 12 gauge 2 3/4 ?

      @@tonygotts199 we have some loaded in 3.5”. Even in a 3.5” 10 gauge you can only fit about 18 of them and it weighs 0.62 ounces. That’s a .410 payload. Not even worth trying in 2 3/4” I don’t think.

      About the same as loading beans or popcorn. Can be deadly at point blank but loses kinetic energy fast.. would just be an owie at 10 yards.. tho you could actually shoot your eye out.

      I have loaded fired small and large primers in 12ga. 2 3/4. Not quite heavy as lead shot. It does work!

      I was talking about 209’s I’d say yeah it would work a lot better with pistol primers though

    I got a new mold in the mail yesterday. The Lyman 2654012 which produces a 475gr .705" foster slug. I got busy and cast a bucket and loaded em up into federal gold medal 2 3/4 hulls, chedditte primer, with 34gr longshot, bpi brush wad, 3/4" rubber washer, slug, overshot card. They hit the same hole at 20yds and had touching holes at 40yds with my 870 police magnum. Have you guys shot that slug?

      Actually no we haven’t

      @@theshotgunscientists OK I shot those 475's at 110yds today, not at paper but at a head sized rock on a hillside and hit that rock everytime. I don't know what they're doing at 70 but I think they're pretty flat. I think I have a bunch of 12g slug molds for sale now. Svarog pellet and Italian molds(@500 special wads) , lyman 525, lee 690 round ball. I'll put em on ebay in the next day or two. The only ones I'm keeping are the MP .730 600gr and the Lyman 475gr .705. It only took me 4 years to figure this $hit out.

    Great video bud! Completely unrelated question. Do you see any benefit to buying shot shells (especially tss) over loading your self? I'm loading tss at 2.85/shell so basically half the price of factory.

      I don’t see much point in loading lead shot. Buckshot slugs and stuff like bismuth. I can load bismuth 1 1/4oz for $2.31 Canadian a shell considering a box of bismuth is about $70 here and it’s never available in shot sizes you want it makes sense.

      @theshotgunscientists  Месяц назад

      It depends on your needs and how quick those needs have to be met I guess I’d say. If you need #7 lead shot in a game load, well that’s very hard to find. But just doing plain old target shells, not worth it to me. If you’re doing tss for that price, you’re doing well.

    Looked like neither load had any recoil to speak of. 🤔 y’all are having too much fun.
