Oh and for people who don't know the Lego Friends Story. 1st we are on the 2nd Generation. Some of the 1st Generation girls now have kids. Like Mia has a Daughter Autumn. So this year is Based on Paisley. Hers is special. The Set has her Mom& Dad. Her Mom died at some point. So this set is i think the last Christmas Paisley has with her Mom, before she Dies. Her Dad is Jonathan. Her sister is Ella. So far we don't know her Moms name. And her BFF in the Set is Olly.
Harry Potter: The statues go on top of the house banners which you’ve placed the mini figures on. It makes the statues a little more grand/recognizable. The Gryffindor statue is a lion, the Slytherin statue is a snake (yeah I agree this one doesn’t look like a snake), the Hufflepuff statue is a badger, the Ravenclaw statue is an eagle. They’re definitely not super accurate renditions of the animals but I think they tried. The yellow girl is in Hufflepuff and you called her Jennifer lol, her name is Susan Bones. She doesn’t do much, but her aunt works for the Ministry of Magic. The blue girl is in Ravenclaw and you called her Phillippa, her name is Cho Chang. She dated Harry in the fifth book after her boyfriend died in the fourth book, and he spent the whole year making fun of and getting mad at her for crying about her boyfriend dying while he was trying to hit that 😂 very insensitive teenage boy behavior. She also is the captain of the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Ngl I don’t know who the ghost lady with the sheet music is but I think she’s a ghost caroler to sing for them. Not positive. The short old man is Filius Flitwick, he’s the charms professor and the head of Ravenclaw house. He also conducts the choirs. And I think he decorated the Christmas tree in the film. The Christmas crackers are kinda lame I wish they were AT LEAST Christmas colors or house colors. One or the other. They’re kinda ugly. Overall, I do like the set quite a bit. Idk if we needed two little Christmas trees. I’d have preferred something more witchy maybe a little cauldron or something instead of the mini mini tree The little hogwarts express train set goes beneath the big Christmas tree, and it’s very cute together. The little collectible portrait tiles are from a set of 14 total. They include them in every LEGO Harry Potter set in recent memory. So you don’t have to buy 20 advent calendars to get the tiles, but you do have to buy full sized sets and you still will get duplicates so I kind of hate them. If I wanted blind bags I would buy those. I think if you’re buying a full priced build set, you should have a complete set. The two you got were Ivan the Terrible who you probably know from history, and Jocunda Sykes who is basically wizard Amelia Earhart. She was the first witch who flew her broomstick across the Atlantic Ocean.

Every Disney princess mini doll had at least 2 building components and yet you only called Tiana greedy. Hmm …that was strange commentary. And just a side note: Elsa actually has more building components in this calendar than all other characters yet she’s not mentioned to be greedy. Just an observation.
I really like the 2nd calendar, with the little family and the pressents, i think it is really Christmasy. And you can have some fun play with the items in it. Oh and the baby figure is cute

The baby, if you look at the handle of the bottle, the little thing you put that through the top and thread it down into the hand you got things that you can use outside of Christmas too. It’s nice with the first one. Did it came with something that you can use the rest of the year not all so Christmasy that you can’t use it the rest of the year, like the one with the scarf, they can take it off and use it the rest of the year, and play with it and not have a specific toy
Thank you for making different segments so it is easy to skip parts. I have bought the Lego City and Lego Friends calenders and I don't want to know what they have on beforehand. But the others are nice to see if they are something to buy as well.

The one thing I like about the Advent Calendars. You get at least 5Mini Figures/Dolls. Plus a lot of cool pieces to use in other things. And if you think $5 per Figure. That's $25 in Figs. I'm in the States. Also Amazon is normally cheaper on the Calendars. Last Year we moved so we have more room. And we set up a baseplate and set up a whole park& ski hill. My Kid does the Friends set.

I got the City one for 2023. Much fun to open those and build cute little things in a few minutes rather than a huge structure that takes upwards of five hours.
First year buying a Lego advent calendar for my son, we went with the Lego city one and I’m glad that’s the one I went for after watching your vid. Also useful to watch what items are in each window to manage expectations 😅

They're gargoyles in the shape of each of the mascots for the Hogwarts Houses... so, this one (27:37) is the Lion for Gryffindor... In my opinion, it leaves a lot (and more) for the imagination, at the same time I wouldn't know how to do it better without creating custom pieces... I do still like the Snake gargoyle (29:25) for Slytherin best 👌❤
I absolutely loved this video! You had me laughing all the way through at some of the descriptions especially when you didn’t know anything about the subject. Best experience I’ve had unboxing advent calendars because I got the joy but not left with a whole lot of stuff I would never use. I did skip the city one because I have purchased that. For the Harry Potter collectible tiles, they include at least 1 in each of the newer releases they have been putting out. Kind of replaced the chocolate frog cards that they used to include in the older sets.
Lol slightly saddened that at the end when he's showing everything in the calendar he I not properly placing the scene together on the picture display that comes with the box like you put the lego spider pig snowman in the house and not on the snow pile and you didn't put the Christmas tree in the middle of the living room with the toys around it. I feel like I'm missing some of joy of the scene. That said this is really cute and never thought i'd want a lego baby in a carriage with a chrismtas onesie so badly haha.
im feeling good about choosing the lego city one. i think its a good deal. i did wish they had done an animal crossing one. or d&d. my kid wanted a sonic one. they had so many options form things they have been making sets of lately.
If this video turns out well ( and it will because I have faith in the block party ) and if you can do it next year again, could you do one calendar per video and show the process of building them. If you have 6 more calendars, that’s 6 videos.
That would be 6 45 minute long videos - that's probably pushing things a little too far! We're never likely to be a channel where we do videos of us actually building things.
My kid wants one of the advent calendars and was not sure what one to get for her, now I know what one to get that she will like so thanks for doing this. I wish we get those Lego magazine that u guys get in the UK, if u know of a web site where I can get them, my kid all ways see them in different youtube videos and wants to get them.

For the Harry Potter collectible tiles, they include at least 1 in each of the newer releases they have been putting out. Kind of replaced the chocolate frog cards that they used to include in the older sets.

Lol slightly saddened that at the end when he's showing everything in the calendar he I not properly placing the scene together on the picture display that comes with the box like you put the lego spider pig snowman in the house and not on the snow pile and you didn't put the Christmas tree in the middle of the living room with the toys around it. I feel like I'm missing some of joy of the scene. That said this is really cute and never thought i'd want a lego baby in a carriage with a chrismtas onesie so badly haha.

im feeling good about choosing the lego city one. i think its a good deal. i did wish they had done an animal crossing one. or d&d. my kid wanted a sonic one. they had so many options form things they have been making sets of lately.
Made me want the city one I think. I love marvel but 100% sold on the spiderman theme.

If this video turns out well ( and it will because I have faith in the block party ) and if you can do it next year again, could you do one calendar per video and show the process of building them. If you have 6 more calendars, that’s 6 videos.
That would be 6 45 minute long videos - that's probably pushing things a little too far! We're never likely to be a channel where we do videos of us actually building things.

My kid wants one of the advent calendars and was not sure what one to get for her, now I know what one to get that she will like so thanks for doing this. I wish we get those Lego magazine that u guys get in the UK, if u know of a web site where I can get them, my kid all ways see them in different youtube videos and wants to get them.
