- The 2024 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar is fairly well rounded and has some excellent builds! For the 25th Anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, while no special Minifig was included we saw a couple throwback colorway builds of the 1999 X-Wing and 2001 TIE Fighter + a LEGO Star Wars MINIKIT for the first time ever in a set!

You didn’t mention in the video (I assume because you opened it all at once and didn’t notice), but every day in this calendar actually represents a specific year of LEGO Star Wars, so as you get closer to Christmas you count in order from 1999 (Day 1) to 2024 (Day 24). The days represent, by year:

It's unfortunate that there aren't any builds/figures for 2021 or 2023, however cutting two years was necessary to keep it in 24 days and since those two years are so recent I suppose they made the most sense to cut.

@@TotalTrooperProductions well you know you can just add clay or paper on the inside or you could order custom ones but I guess I have to agree someone showed some pretty cool helmets with accessories which don’t need holes

9:25 actually they have made a micro Jabba’s Sail Barge back in the 2015 advent calendar. This one is better
Imagine how awesome it would be if Lego had an advent calendar with 24 mini figures it would cost a fortune but everyone would love it
They added the gifts in the order of release. This is why you get the Firehawk on the 24th and the blue X-Wing on the 1st.
And one model related to each year (skipping 1 year obviously).
I think that's one of the rebel defense turrets on Leia's sweater, not another AT-AT
To be honest, I thought the crimson firehawk was the first Star Wars/Marvel crossover 😂

I interpreted that second at-at on leia’s sweater as one of those Hoth rebel turrets
I'm going to put the same general timestamp as everyone else, 4:12, but for a different reason. If you look at the sweater, you can see a very apparent edge to where the print is. I doubt that it is intentional, but it's certainly unusual

So I have a theory that the Advent calendars actually give you a hint of a set that's supposed to come out the next year I mean in 2022 there was a TIE interceptor and in 2023 we got a TIE interceptor the 2023 calendar had a star destroyer and we got a play scale Star destroyer this year's calendar has a palpatine shuttle so next year I predict we're going to get a palpatine shuttle

Oh yeah, speaking of andor there's been a rumor going around that there will be a new U-wing in 2025, and whaddya know, one of the days was a U-wing!

it bothers me that theres not just one 2x3 plate extra on the ATAT the main body just isnt tall enough

There’s only one AT-AT on Princess Leia’s sweater. The other “smaller AT-AT” is a rebel turret, specifically a DF.9 anti-infantry battery.

Star Wars advent calendars are always the best of the bunch. I'm in on this one. Definitely going to wait for the inevitable sale in late November!

Is the Y-wing not meant to be a miniature version of the 1999 Y-wing also given that it’s an anniversary set? The full size one is funky looking by modern standards as are most of the classic sets. I think the blockiness does it justice in my opinion. Luke’s landspeeder looks amazing, I really liked the Mythrol one they done prior although I think this one is more of a nod to the 2010 version than the 1999 original in terms of colour
These have always been such a scam. LEGO advent calendars are the worst value for your money. You get some repeat figures, 1 or 2 exclusive figures, and then micro scale builds worse than polybag ones.
Um, minor detail:
Leia's sweater front print is a AT-AT, Snowspeeder and the Hoth Rebel turret.
there is a micro landspeeder its in the Tatooine small diorama GWP and the landspeeder is 2 pieces aha.
They go in order of years of LEGO releases. Hence why the X-Wing has the color it have and finishing with the Crimison FireHawk because it’s the latest release year for LEGO.
So personally I get the calendars for the jumpers sadly the idea of buying them to resell is just a not viable option nowadays as everything is way to over produced, I remember like 6+ years ago going wow people are paying that much that’s nuts, myself I’m a Collector which is kinda why I like the Christmas sweaters as I’m going to be building a Christmas house for Lego me and my late mum it’s something I talked with her about last Christmas but I never got round to making it before she passed so I owe her that as she loved Christmas.
I have always said that the advent calendar should be mini versions of the sets that came out that year, maybe the year before. the non holiday versions of the minifigs could be like the pretorian guard to add to the sets that came out this year. There will always be a clone trooper, a droid that they fight. a figure that seems to lift a set, a minifig to help people get one without having to pay $80+. For the holiday ones I like the sweater ones and can be implemented into other things easier than the santa figs. the CF being day 24 is CRAZY!!!!!
one year we should get a Christmas clone trooper with exclusive printing.
Something like a Rudolph clone trooper with a brown helmets torso and legs with a red nose printed on it.
something goofy and fun to match the Christmas theme.
Princess Leia's sweater design looks a whole lot like the graphics from the Empire Strikes Back video game for the Atari 2600.
I realized that Lego Star Wars is celebrating their 25 anniversary, and Christmas is in the 25 so maybe they could’ve done something like that.
I was gonna give it a 4/10 until I saw the minikit. Absolute 10/10 for that. I don’t care, I will not elaborate, I want the minikit.

Crimson Firehawk might've been day 24 because of the red / white colorscheme, hence the small santa reference. But they could've also done the T6 Shuttle for that spot too...
I believe they matched the days with the years of Lego Star Wars. As in, each day represents a year and a set from that year, hence the throw back x wing and tie fighter, and the fire hawk being day 24 as one of the last things to have come out.

The advent calendars are the one set I think would be fun to design because of the limitations Lego has to work within. On average, each door only has a parts budget of a dollar or two.
They’ve got Santa figures in the city advent calendars, and I’m guessing that’s why they’re not in the Star Wars ones anymore.

it wasn't a venator that's an acclamator-class (or at least looks more like one without the binoculars for the bridge), also on leia's sweater that's one of the hoth turrets, but yeah, i might be getting that

i really like the luke and leia sweater figs. also lukes landspeeder, the falcon and the atat look really good, im going to use at least a couple pf those in a moc

There are so many of them that they’re usually laying on the floor as a mountain.
While the Advent Calendars in Europe fortunately cost 35€ and not 45€ (a rare case where LEGO isn't doing the 1$ = 1€), this is still a pretty garbage Advent Calendar.
These calendars are becoming worse and worse with each year. It's not just the Disney-Star Wars ones. They're all getting lazier and lazier.

The clone trooper helmet hole is for the antenna/radar attachment for the helmet.
