Wow I'm actually really impressed with this guy. I'm from Toronto and I have my fair share of beef with the TTC, but to be honest it seems like this is the exact kind of guy who actually cares about fixing it
Too bad not much has changed. And what has changed has for the worse. They decided to integrate presto which a good majority of the machines did not work, but not only that was more centred around bringing people outside of the city into it, rather than making it convenient for those who are living in the city already. Delays are worse than ever, And he said something about 'using tax payer and rider money as sufficiently as we can.' It's clear he cares, but I personally doubt TTC is receiving a sufficient amount of taxpayer money let alone using it correctly. Hell, we spent 200k taxpayer money on a giant duck for lake ontario.
One connection that needs to be improved is the westward expansion of the subway to West Mall. Making it easier for people to travel from Mississauga into Toronto and vice versa. And for people to be able to reach a major work area around Renforth Eglinton. There should be a subway system going into Mississauga along Dundas which is a major commercial corridor. Extend the Eglinton LRT to Renforth and Eglinton. This creates a connection to the airport and also a major work hub.
The TTC needs to improve the connections between Toronto and Mississauga because there are many corporate head offices in west Mississauga south of the airport while alot of those workers are living in Toronto.
He was saying how reliable the T1’s are expected for that one summer when a whole bunch of the T1’s had A/C problems and the TTC had to compensate by temporarily putting rocket trains onto line 2 while they repaired the T1’s with faulty A/C units
@@pdtravels I know Andy Byford is no longer the CEO of the TTC and I guess back then the T1’s where still slightly newer than they are now and still in better condition back then but now I hear the T1’s are approaching the end of their lifetime I think they have just a few more years left in them before they need to be retired also I’m hoping that the set of trains line 2 gets you’ll be able to walk between cars like the rocket trains on lines 1&4

R62A Productions-Miguel Nuñez Moscoso are u mad at cuomo or byford? imo byford couldn’t do anything [cause of cuomo] so it makes sense that he wanted to leave.
They should have a video of Byford taking TTC anonymously and interacting with TTC employees. I was coming home from work via Union station last month. It was the start of the month and I accidentally flashed the wrong pass to the TTC worker. He shouted something at me and I didn't hear him so I said "What?" to which he replied "Not what! What do I look like your fucking child?!" I showed him my pass and told him he didn't have to talk to customers that way. Terrible service and employees.
He did a good job of building a good image of himself, I'm sure he has some ideas to improve the TTC. But... He'll eventually realize all of the political and bureaucratic roadblocks.
hes doing a really good job improving more routes and extending the subway to more places im really happy, just the emoployees suck dick, theyre rude and disrespectful and dont care much for the safety of the customers, also some buses take ridiculously LONG and are either way to early or too late and never on time!! they really need to reconsider who they hire, other than that better improvement since last year.
He left the mta, because he they didn’t let him make the changes he wanted to make. He intended to stay on for 5-10 years, but was only there for 2 years.
I don't see he got the system fixed instead, getting worst by hiring some booboos help deteriorate the attitude of service from those lowly motivated staff from inspectors to drivers... from bad to worst. More buses and streetcars wouldn't fix problem while 2 - 3 buses line up in a destination with 1 full,1 half filled and 1 almost empty. That digesting after long waiting which suppose there should be every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure smooth service. I propose eliminate all fix pay rate in salary
Mr Byford is the best CEO in the TTC history. I know because I take TTC since 1984 in Toronto.
Thanks Mr Byford.

So tell me Mr. Byford, why is there only one photo ID centre at Sherbourne Station. When is the TTC going to set up more?
*GASP*. ITS TRAIN DADDY!

The TTC workers aren't allowed to strike any more so thats not a problem.
He is great for Toronto.

bloorwestreno they can't do that unless Mississauga wants to pay for it. The TTC only has jurisdiction in the city of Toronto
