So after that first sequence of very poor movement off the ball, in a session designed for playing out of the back, you stopped the game to make a coaching point about the number of defenders running in?
if you are talking about the start I had to get the session flowing - unfortunately being in Chicago and having to do pre coursework for the B license we were restricted on space but the video needed to reflect 11v11 for the course. So yes I coached the defensive side to give the session fluidity and a realistic game speed - actually got very good feedback for this session given the space restriction
Didn't watch the whole thing, my only suggestion is that you have your outside back opposite of the ball stay higher and wide because it seems redundant and a waste of space to have him sit right behind his adjacent center back
good observation I made the same point later on in the session - can't cover everything in the first two minutes, let them male the mistakes and then make your coaching points so that they see more success after coaching that way it will stick with them! thanks for feedback - if you get chance watch the whole thing let me know what you think :)
what age group are you working with ? I tried this with my U13 players last night . It was a bit rocky
