@@kurtfoulke5130 well thank you for the comment and thank you for watching the whole video. I appreciate it if you go to the next video, you will learn something about my dealer. Thank you you have a great day.
It really does suck when things like this happen. My water pump went out last spring right at the start of riding season. I made lots of phone calls and found a few but was shocked that bigger dealers did not stock that part that is notorious for going bad. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get one. As for the install it is pretty simple and not too time consuming. If you have any questions give me a shout.
this is why I kept my 2018 Kawasaki Zed 900 naked sport. My 2023 FXST bought in April 2023 started having front rocker box leaks, a cracked oil cooler and a blown transmission 280-1,000 miles She has been in 10 times for warranty work. I think the guy working on mine at the Pennsylvania plant, THAT HAS 3 YOUNG MOUTHS TO FEED got his hours cut during the pandemic. Sorry it happened to you, hope it ends well. stay in the wind on whatever you can. been riding many brands for 55+ years and never had this many issues, maybe building the bikes in Thailand or India may be a good thing, who knows... cause most of the parts are from there...who knows.
When you go online to order anything from the website it's not coming from that dealership. It's just associating with that dealership for tracking purposes. You're better off just calling and seeing if they have inventory at your dealership. Many times it will come in quicker that if you order from the site. Ride safe my friend
19 Electra Glide I can’t seem to get any parts here at the dealer in West Palm without them having to order the part. They had to order brake pads lol. I use Amsoil and KN oil filter so I can remove it with a socket.
I have a 2020 ultra limited, 1 month in after purchase I noticed coolant on the ground but only fit it was parked with the front end pointed a little down hill. Took it to my dealer and turns out there were 2 hoses criss crossed from the factory...5 mins in the shop...no charge to me it was fixed! Luckily I haven't had to purchase any major parts...other then tires....but the few parts I have ordered were delivered relatively quick! I'm an Amsoil guy! Thanks for sharing....stay safe out there!😎🤙👍🤙👍🇨🇦
every harley I've ever owned and i owned many they all broke. i bought a victory in 2013 and it still running strong. tires brakes and puttin down the miles. victory has been the best bike i ever owned. the only vehicle that breaks as much as a harley is a ford.
sucks for sure that the water pump went out for sure and as i mentioned its a commonly failed part. I'm on my third atm being on the trike its ok to run the motor but they get hot for sure. The 3rd water pump actually was the last part that was on back order. Yes though the bike is in sioux falls, sd still and it was on the way back and got lucky to make it to my dad's place and then to the dealer. You should ask when you go in why they don't have any parts especially the commonly failed ones they know fail. That sucks though and hope they have one in stock or can get you one quick. HD though from what I've been told by a couple different dealers is they changed the parts system to where dealers can't stockpile parts nor easily get them from each other as well and honestly that's my issue with HD is the whole parts and back order mess. Glad though I got the extended warranty though it's covering everything to include the rental and depending on what bike I get next I'll probably do the same thing warranty wise with it as well. Sucks if you gotta wait but hopefully you won't have to. stay safe out there.
Bummer about the bike, how maany miles on it ? In my youth I had 3 big twin shovelheads. I now ride a 2002 Honda VTX 1800R, no leaks yet with 39,000 miles on it. P.S. they don't stock parts because that's money spent by the dealership just sitting on a shelf. Tightwads ☹️
@@mattdonna9677 take a look at the next video MATT please.. my dealer actually had it. A friend of mine had a VTX and he sold it to his son after he found a heckuva deal on a rogue glide ultra with only 5000 miles on it
Nothing new, in 1978 bought a basket case 53 Panhead 74 cubic inch and go to the dealership for a part, they flip flip flip through parts catalog and then say obsolete. Fold their arms and stare at me. Lucky some parts, big engine and transmission nuts bolts & dog ear lockwashers were the same from 1941 to about 1985 but without the aftermarket would have been screwed. Harley-Davidson wouldn't be around if it wasn't for AMF and guys in dirty jeans building motorcycles and living biker lifestyle; so in 2024 they can act like A-holes and sell bikes for $40,000.

Hey Ken, it sucks that they can’t keep important parts in stock but the last few times I have order anything from Harley its taken at least a week to get and it’s been small items. Those water pumps I am guessing are from a vender from another country? I use Amsoil in the motor and spent the money to do the Harley synthetic gear oil in the trans and primary and it made a difference on finding neutral on my bike! But I think I will need lifters soon but I don’t know what brand or if I will have someone do it or try myself it’s a 2017 with 46k hope you get a water pump thanks for what you do, be safe out there
