I would made a duct tape handle that would need to be replaced every month or so lol. Hats off to you for your effort
Laughed out loud here! I know what you mean! 👏👏👏
100% chance a commenter will start whining about "galvanic corrosion"
Shouldn’t the knobs match when it’s latched?
Yup! I did fix that in the full video. 👍 ruclips.net/video/PsNMZfYKiaA/видео.htmlsi=Sfgl_MB_LlzpHlTx

@@privateassman8839 Parentheses got me! Just fixed it, thanks for the heads up!
@@AndrewReuter no problem :)
I like the way you have your cabinet door labeled so you know which one is in the middle.
Broken 7 years and now is the time to fix it 😂
I'm an electrician by trade ... my electrics are the worst but good enough(not made by my)... there will be a time
Oh my word your tire air chuck turned low profile air gun is genius
Doing a proper mend is so satisfying. Nice.
Well said!
Now you have a built a battery. The Steel Screw gonna rust away by the power of physic.
Don't need a mill for that? But still like the video.
Broke 7 yrs ago and now its time to fix it... That hits too close to home, man
Nobody mentions that the handle was put on at 90° from the other knob?
I thought you wouldve friction welded it with the mill
7 years that’s about right.
Nobody is going to make a cheap piece of hardware out of expensive and soft copper. It was no doubt made of die cast. Just drill a hole in the handle and one in the broken off screw. Take a length of small threaded steel rod, dip it in steel-filled epoxy and use it to splice the two by shoving it into the two and letting it cure.
By the way, why was the repaired knob 90 degrees off?
This guy has a favorite beer brand that’s from a mega corp
🤣🤣🤣 Mega corp beer choice: Mich Golden! Super cool cans and tastes good-to-decent.) Large but still a corp choice: Spotted Cow! Great stuff, but you can only get it in Wisconsin.
Hahahah. wait are you also a wisconsinite? I had a spotted last night.@@AndrewReuter
HA MADISON!? Small world. I also had a capitol brewing amber last night. -High fives from waukesha!@@AndrewReuter
@@idonz21Small world!!!!! Cheers!!!
Tire inflator as a blow gun??
7 years later
Yup, just the 7 years!!! 🤣
That’s brass not copper 😂
I did research this and thought that it was perhaps copper because the cabinet makers were going antibacterial or something, but I’m totally prepared to be wrong about that!
The copper content in brass also provides antimicrobial qualities.
7 years later😅
Yup!!!!
7 - year itch... 😬
(OCD people screaming in the comment section) Me: I live for this.
🤣🤣🤣 I fixed those handles in the final video; didn’t think about how triggering it would be in the short…
@@AndrewReuter 1. You should have known better. 2. Please don't ever change.
Good skills but could've just replaced it
Could've. But isn't fixing our stuff better than discarding it if possible?
It's a screw... the handle and mechanism could be found online for less than $20... yeah sure you don't have to waste money on it. But at the end of the day. Power running the machines... time and effort you could have spent selling 1 lemonade would make up for the time and money lost... unless he does this for a living. No reason to do all this for a screwbolt😅
Ya know, I guess I never even looked to see if I could replace it? Tough part is that the handle has a little square section on it that lines up with the lock. So I’d have had to retrofit a new one anyway. Lose lose there, but the milling machine worked great!
Maybee the handle was of brass
I see why it broke, having to operate that mechanism calls for a much more robust handle..
It is easy if you have all the tools..
Has really expensive milling machine, uses tire air up tool to blow out the part😂
I know!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t find my little pinhole air tool anywhere. That shot was of me after looking around the shop for like 20 minutes and finally saying “to heck with this!!!”
@@AndrewReuter you’re not the only one 😂 I’ve set my air blower down and two mins later can’t find it and just give up and use the exhaust side of an air tool😂
Buy a new one
What to do when you have done everything else…
*Wife* - Remember that cabinet you said you would fix almost a decade ago??
*This guy* - Now’s the time to fix it!
