@@psyttk7252 OTT is originally from Ableton multiband dynamics plugin as a preset. xFer remade it as a crossplatform plugin only. So it would be lovely to have it in PhasePlant.
Nice video, concise and to the point. Thanks. You are right, there should be a multiband compressor in Phase Plant. My guess why they haven't done one yet is because Multipass is their product to do that, and it doesn't run inside Phase Plant. It would be off the wall bonkers (OTT?) if Multipass could be embedded into Phase Plant, but just having a basic dynamic compressor would be good too. Get on it, Kilohearts!!
I really want to learn how to use phase plant but I still haven't really found my groove with it. I think I'm just so used to Serum that phase plant feels kind of awkward but I really believe phase plant has huge potential. And with that being said, I do really miss the built-in OTT from Serum lol
@@Letsynthesize Okay yeah the thing is, is that it was always there but nobody used it. Since maybe 2012 people were stuck with whatever "dub step basses" there were in massive. My point is if you're holding youself to a plugin or preset in a synth it makes nosense. OP stated he can't understand phase plant and is relying on OTT to break the sound come to life in a way built in like he would in serum. A good majority of people don't even use OTT in serum anymore. It's used to create tones that you wouldn't normally get from a majority of synths. Dan you even stated if you are relying on serum to create dubstep basses you're gonna sound like VR. Which I do believe in wrong but OP is rather crunching on the fact that OTT (extreme forms of compression) is the only way for him to bring out his sounds. Then is sarcastic about the response. Kinda lame when someone doesn't understand things but relying on the built in stuff rather than learning.
because we are thirthy for different sounds. Serum is still awsome but it has its character and we are musicians. We love and want other sounds than serum sounds (yes its a universal synth, but in 90% of the sounds it is obvious that the sound comes from that synth)
Yo! Do you miss OTT from PhasePlant? Let's kick the door on the KiloHearts guys to make them putting it in PhasePlant by liking this comment! :)
OTT is from Xfer ? Or am I missing something

@@Letsynthesize Yes please lol
I’m sure kilohearts will put out a non-multipass mb compressor at some point. Seems like a no brainer.
There is a Multipass preset in Dynamics folder called N.O.T.T.
Guess what that is :*

There’s a preset in multipass called overachiever that you can use for ott!
Or the N.O.T.T.
@@Letsynthesize ooooh i like this one better :) thx!

OTT opened a whole new era in electronic music from 2010. Considering this your comment was not very wise dude!

Can anyone please tell me how to use a pre set with this synth? I donthe drag and drop thing with the preset folder and it does not work
Awesome!
My only question is why are people switching from Serum to Phaseplant?

@@Letsynthesize I see what you mean.
@@TheBlashMusic Phaseplant is, for me, a really more rich and powerful synthesis plateform. 32 osc's, 3 effects chains.....unlimited results :)

Why do people switch from eating chicken to beef? Variety. Change.
