    I've heard that it's 10 times harder to get into vet school then it is to get into med school and I think that's because they don't have quite as many veterinarian schools as they do hospitals.

      For example there might be 4 students applying to med school but since there's so little vet schools, it could be at least double the people applying for one spot so it can get very competitive.

When the techs were getting her prepped the vet sat down with me and just talked for like 30 minutes and gave me all the faith i needed....sadly she passed away 2 years later but the fact i had her for 15 was really something! ill never forget you Dr Clark

    Wow, I used to work at the U of P. I worked in the Office of Student Conduct, where we punished the bad kids on campus. One guy who was a student at the Vet school, he was basically a flasher and he was arrested a few times for exposing himself to girls on the campus. My boss said he was a brilliant student and if it weren't for this compulsion of his, he would have made an excellent vet, but after three arrests, she had to expel him from school. She said she had no choice because he would be dealing with patients who can't tell him where it hurts or their level of pain and couldn't take the chance of him not being able to concentrate on the animals, so he got booted. Vet school is some serious stuff.

They are not compassionate, not empathetic at all with the animal that is suffering!!! It would have been too big to come out vaginally (or malpositioned, but normally oversized is the literal bigger problem), and you can't go ventral midline in a cow because the weight of it's internal organs on the suture line (gravity) will cause evisceration.

    • @mnhynxx751
      @mnhynxx751 5 лет назад +1

      ik the comment like 2 years ago but yes, the c-section for cow is on the left side because if you does it on the ventral side, it's much harder (don't forget there is gld. mammae on the ventral side). and why not on the right side? right side of the cow mainly covered by their multigastrics so it would hard too~

    • @alexstump7035
      @alexstump7035 4 года назад +3

      William Daniels are you talking about the silver prong/pinch collar? Those are the most humane training collars out there. Especially with a large breed like the Dane. If the dog pulls or lunges, then the collar will tighten and the long, dull prongs will pinch. The pinch simulates a mother’s disciplinary nip on the neck to correct wrong behavior. I’m a vet student and use this collar on my German Shepherd/Lab mix. With her being 85lbs, if she goes to take off after something (another pet, or small animal) on a walk then she could easily pull, or get away from myself or a family member. I can promise you that there isn’t any prolonged pain from these, only a short pinch that my dog started when she jerked away.

      A veterinary office is a business. You go to the doctor and don't pay, the doctors still get paid. It isn't the same in vet med. If Veterinarians gave out free or low cost vet care left and right, they will eventually no longer be able to have a facility and treat other sick animals. No veterinarian or vet staff is happy to turn away sick animals because of financial issues. I can guarantee you that it bothers them almost as much as it bothers you. You need to be prepared for your pet's medical care. Have insurance, a savings account, a credit card, something. I hope your baby is doing well 💛

      You've got money for internet and a laptop, though. I'm sure there is a charity organisation that can help, if you look hard enough. SSI would pay enough to put down a cat. If the cat is suffering and you can't afford to treat it, you have to give it to someone who can and plan ahead, not just be there when the sun shines.

    Why aren’t there many male vets. I want to be a vet but I feel weird if it’s a girl job.
