Yoo YoungJin (the original singer & composer of Forever) is a legendary SM in-house composer & producer.. he wrote lots of SM artists' classic & hit songs, his signature sound are those falsettos and high notes that SM vocalists are known for... some of my fav songs from him are SM The Ballad's Hot Times, SuJu's Sorry Sorry & Sorry Sorry Answer, TVXQ's Before U Go, EXO's What Is Love, SMTOWN's Dear My Family, Shinhwa's Perfect Man, and a lot more, those songs have those kinds of signature Yoo YoungJin falsettos and high notes in them... and he also sang Beautiful Girls for SNSD's concert VTR back in the days (i feel so old now...)
At first I was like, "Nice, a ballad will showcase their vocals. I'll probably forget about it soon, though, because ballad." My brain still randomly goes "Forever, foreveEeEEr~" every other hour 😂
I really like that you just enjoyed the song and concentrate to their vocals! Not like some reactor kept talking and say so much ramdom stuff like their cloths...? i loved forever by æspa. i've been listening a lot to sm ballads these days. miracles in december, coming home and forever are a must. i really don't get kpop stans, specially on twitter, they are bad mouthing the song and dropping the group because of it... the song it's so good, it didn't feel 5 minutes long.

ikr? also many of them get distracted by the lyrics and stuff and almost completely overlook the song and vocals. it's annoying as hell
