Men, incredible video, just because of you I decided to brushless conversion! I have portal axels so my top speed will be the half (2/1 reduction) I’m thinking to put 2445 5400kv with the 8t original pinion… you think will be stronger enought to crawl in first gear? Will be coging? Want to be fast in second, now I’m always in the fast gear! Thank you men
I just put one of these in a Mini T 2.0 because the Spektrum motor is like $90! I got one that was lower than the 6000kv that comes with it because it's just too much power for that chassis. I used the 2435 motor with 4800kv and it's much more controllable.
hi! Great video, Bro!! I wrote down a bunch of info from this video. I intend to follow it closely. The only thing that I am not sure of is which gears are the pinion gears? It seemed like all 3 were? Thank you.
@@gadogamix hi! Thank you for responding! I really appreciate that. I have a couple of questions, if I may? 1 The sheet you so kindly show with the list of motors, had the last few digits of their part numbers cut off. Are those numbers necessary when trying to buy these motors? 2 Do you have a favorite distributor of these parts listed in the video? The links you provided have possibly expired? I am looking for a goodly amount of power because my truck has a real metal body. It's about like the real 1955 Chevy metals thickness. And I'm going with an all metal 4 wheel drive frame and suspension. The all metal version of the WPL C24 suspension. I am definitely going for at least the 11.1 volt battery. The 6800 mv 2430 Y 4.5 motor. So, I definitely need a good ESC capable of this voltage and higher. Bro, I built a 19.2 volt pack that I'm dying to use in something. More power muahahaha!!! Thank you, kemble
Tamiya 8t is 0.5module, so true 5mm, is that why it's noisy? That 12t 6.9mm appears to be a 52 pitch gear, much more quieter, so 8t in 52p would be 4.88mm! So that means that WPL gearbox needs 52 pitch gears (imperial), not 0.5m (metric)
40 bucks from Ali for motor and 2.3mm 12t. But after seeing the charger cost for lipo. Nty. Would put me 100 more in on a 30 c24 that I'm already 60 in on part with nothing in the mail yet. Kinda sad cuz I cant blow more money.
I own a mn d99s(with non-stock unknown brushed motor) and is ok at crawling but lacking in speed. I want to upgrade to a brushless. Will I still be able to crawl and increase top speed if I put a 2430/2435 with the stock gearbox?
Very nice video, thank you! I have a *stock 180 brushed motor* (not sure what pinion), and the upgraded single gearbox *370 motor* (also not sure what pinion). I'm planning to get a 2435 motor so I don't have to cut the frame. I want to use existing pinion: either the pinion on the 180 or 370 brushed motor. Do you know the no. of teeth on the pinion, and the shaft diameter? You get good results with a 3600kv motor with 12T pinion. The cheap Surpass Hobby 2435 brushless motor comes in 3300kv, 4500kv, 4800kv, and 6100kv. Should I get 3300kv or 4500kv?
I suggest you use pinion from 370 motor as it most likely have shaft diameter with 2435 brushless motor. You can use lighter to heat up the pinion for easier removal. If you still plan on doing offroad, then lower KV is a better choice.
You're gonna wreck your axle gears with this as without any sort of differential. I have a c34km and if I wanted increase the speed I'd add differentials first then add a receiver with gyro to prevent the car from toppling as the c34 is top heavy and any fast turn would imbalance it. I would also widen the wheels for added stability.
Is it possible to upgrade the motor using the stock transmitter? it realy necessary to upgrade the esc and transmitter what are the pros and cons? just want a faster c24. thanks
It's possible if you use the brushed motor. For example the motor with stronger magnet. But you can't upgrade to brushless motor if you still using stock electronic.
@@gadogamix what if you have the upgraded electronic kit I have the c44 km with the 370 dual speed I have the es3 which allows the wax included in the kit to run lipos not sure how high tho
1. buy the lipo battery that has same plug as the ESC. For example ESC in this video use T Plug. Then I need to buy Lipo Battery that also use T Plug. 2. Just plug the battery to ESC. Note: we can change the plug type, but it needs soldering the connection. You can watch this video to upgrade from RTR Version to Proportional system, maybe you can learn something: ruclips.net/video/R6LPaGMwIEQ/видео.html (but those video is still brushed system).
I can give you the link but the problem is I buy it locally in Indonesia and they don't send it overseas. For 12T gear, you can try to buy the gear for 380 size motor. Anyhow, here's the link: tokopedia.link/Pa0NF1nRm3
Great tutorial! Obviously you put a lot of effort explaining this stuff, May I ask if I can have your contact email or facebook? I do have a lot of questions and I'm kinda stuck where to start. lol
Yeah, I never try to measure the speed too. I claim the "fastest" because there is none of MN45 on YT that goes brushless at the time I upload the vid.... Or maybe I just miss it 😁
Yup you're right friend. But at start only, after it run, there's no cogging / trembling issue. Anyway, I try to use quicrun hobbywing 16BL30 esc and the cogging effect is minimal. It's waterproof too and not that expensive. The drawback of 16BL30 is the cable so short.
Note:
1. You might use lighter to heat the pinion to make it easier to remove

That jeep is off the hook, fast. Awesome job.
Now i want to upgrade my 1/14 rock crawler
OMG that things rapid! Thanks for sharing! 😄👍
You're welcome friend 😊
when you use that for long time it will not melt the gearbox??
Dream to make WPL trucks like Dakar rally trucks and cars with brushless set up. Do you think its possible to make it with 30-40km/h speed?
hi! Great video, Bro!! I wrote down a bunch of info from this video. I intend to follow it closely. The only thing that I am not sure of is which gears are the pinion gears? It seemed like all 3 were? Thank you.
Pinion gear is the gear that attach to motor.

2430-8200KV or 2435-6100KV??????
Wow! Very informative video, thank you and GOD bless.
God Bless you too :)
What motor , rx tx and esc upgrade can be applicable for mn82 for it to be fast?
Yo quiero instalar un 2430 de 4500kv con un piñon 13T pero veo que no va seria mejor con un 6T o cual recomiendas.
It is good for crawling?
did the drive shafts or axles break because of the 390 engine horsepower?

There is an Indonesian version, there is an English version
Mantap lah😂👍

Totally perfect speed imo too.
This motor can be used in Single metal gearbox ?

Maybe the pinion is crack or loose, sometimes it's not visible to the eye. you need new pinion

What is the wheelbase and track measurement?
Lenght around 20cm, width around 13cm
Mantap bro. Channel versi British..loo
he he ada versi indonesianya juga kok.
Brushless motor fits jjrc q65 ? Which one fits 2430 or 2435?
If you use dual speed gearbox from wpl as in video, I think it will fit. 2435 should be fine.

Lah kan di video dibahas.
what is a brushless motor i can use for 1/18th scale rc?
If the motor can fit in 1/18th, then you can use it. Try to measure the compartment. The motor in this video has a diameter of 24mm.
