Ho. I don't have a smoker. What can I use as a substitute ? Can I make this in the oven or one of those dome like simple BBQ ( it uses charcoal so not a good choice ?). And how would the recipe be changed if using one of the choices ? thanks.
You can use a charcoal grill or oven. If you use the oven it will not be Smokey. If you use a grill you need to bank the charcoal to one side and put the meat on opposite of the fire
@@MatthewAugusta ok thank you. I also had to use a cast iron skillet because I don’t have a wire rack. My internal temp got to 160. I’ll try it again. Thank you
It’s a struggle to find a decent oven recipe for burnt ends lol everybody don’t have a smoker 😭
You can do this in the oven it just won’t have a Smokey flavor unless you use liquid smoke
Chef steps has an indoor "sMoKe" recipe... I used the rib version. Worked well! (It DOES use liquid smoke tho)
@@thecorbettchronicles thank you! I’ve never heard of this liquid smoke thing but I’ll check it out.
@@MatthewAugusta I’ll give it a shot!

Unpopular opinion...brisket is overrated, chuck roast is amazing!

Pulled pork in pieces with Butter and bbq sauce. Nice i like this

I love how people on these channels always tell people to save the trim to grind into burgers, as if most people have a frikkin grinder at home 😂
Mince it by hand lol
I made your BBQ sauce,,,,,,,,,that is fantastic. The ACV adds a good tang to it.
I’m glad you liked it 🤣

I made them today. They came out very chewy. And suggestions on how to make them more soft.
You have to cook them to 205F internal temp. Add a little liquid and cover with foil after they smoke. Also use a well marbled chuck roast

Poor man burnt ends, proceeds to use a smoker why not just call it burnt ends what a joke.
Burnt ends are made usually with brisket point. This is made with chuck roast which is cheaper.
Hi, thanks for this recipe! Is there a written recipe somewhere for the sauce?
