Looking good you're coming along bro The thing about bed buggers is when you have days off you take them summers ride around the corner and you aint gonna get any days off and you're gonna love it I know I've been bed bug in for 30 years and I still love it
Thus far I definitely enjoy it more then anything I’ve done so far
We had to do that a few times get uhauls when it's a fight spot for a semi truck and trailer. Customers always pay for the Uhaul and mover's. Sometimes customers are like hell we will pay to use the big Uhauls they have and even driver's motel rooms. We are always recommend all the time to help move people. A Hotshot Driver is hauling customer's vehicle's. He should arrive later this week. He's delivering all the way to New Jersey. We used our 2 cargo trucks to transport the customers belongings up there. They paid for the driver's hotel and he likes it.

Interesting to hear all the "obstacles" like shuttling and issues. Educational. I just thought it was load up and unload. Didn't think about Apartments/Condo's/etc.

Yeah plus I’m more active and I enjoy that aspect of the job instead of just sitting in the truck while getting loaded and what not

I hated the wardrobe boxes, one customer loaded a few full of books, it took two people to tilt the dolly back. that was back in my day though.
Man this moving business looks interesting but i already know myself and i will get frustrated with having to puzzle in everything 😅😂😂.

Yeah a shuttle fee is applied to the what the customer has to pay I believe
@@TruckerAK ok cool that's good. Cause if we had to do that. We would be billing them more. They always recommend us all the time. They always ask us who's the best mover's to use. The driver's help if they can carry the products. If it's heavy there like ok mover's u guy's move that.
Just curious why you went to atlas. Seems like a lot loading unloading and not much drive time. Is the pay that good.

There’s only really sitting around when the dates don’t match and that’s normally during off season time which is what I’m working now during season you don’t sit around much from what I’ve been told but we will see

There’s just no way in hell I’d do that moving stuff.. The stress of keeping up with truck maintenance and long idle hours, on top of the rough roads and high traffic, residential neighborhoods, having to get the U-Haul, picking up the U-Haul, schedule moving people, going to the houses and loading the U-Haul just to go back to the truck and unload the U-Haul into the truck, drop the U-Haul, Uber back to the truck, constantly sorting stuff in the trailer, getting the right supplies for certain houses, sitting somewhere for an entire week, having to worry about stuff at home, having to worry about taxes, ifta, insurance, dot etc etc etc.
Naw. That type of stress is how drivers go to sleep and not wake up.
It’s not really all that stressful I’ve learned to leaving stress behind once I hit the road I take it day by day. Stress is the number one killer for drivers

I thought atlas have their own packers at least here i canada they do i know because we used to rent atlas warehouse space and they have their own packers and loaders and unloaders even for long distance moving they have their own atlas moving employes who come with their own vans from atlas vanlines . uhaul trucks are cheap to a point but the cost of millage at a buck a mile adds up fast .
That might be for the company drivers as for the owner ops we find our own labor and have to get uhauls when a sister agent isn’t near by
