I know a very cool thing I found in splatoon, in the series if you notice when you play splatoon for the first time you might notice a yellow and green squid on your name banner on splat 3 and on your shirt in splat 2. This has a real meaning, in Japan where the game originated if you are a newbie to driving cars the dmv will give you a green and yellow arrow to let people know that you are new to driving and in splatoon you get that green and yellow squid to let people know your new.
It's possible to stay on a Slammin' Lid indefinitely with 2 methods I found myself; 1. Jumping over the ladle: It's difficult, but if you're right above the pilot and at your max jump height, the ladle sometimes won't hit you. 2. (Much easier) If you hold the movement stick toward the center of the ship, the ladle won't knock you all the way off.
I found this out while trying to do the studio glitch. The drone that takes the pictures is actually the drone from the S2 hero mode that sheldon used to give you the hero weapons and the rainmaker.
Here’s a neat thing: lil buddy can spawn in random spots in Splatsville, one spot being on a square manhole cover next to the giant Amiibo box. If he happens to be here when you boot up the game, lil buddy basically photobombs the title screen!
Regarding the Deep Cut studio glitch, there's another video of someone who did this glitch, looked at Shiver and Frye and then run behind them just before they wave at the player after noticing them, resulting in both idols turning their heads in a veeeery creepy way xD (their animation is programmed to always look at the player when waving at you, so that's why they make that awkward movement if you stand behind them)
salmon run tip: if you get a slammin lid to crash down, it could kill boss enemies like steelheads if the bomb is exposed, steel eels, and inflict a bit of damage on scrappers *edit* it can kill anything besides king salmonids

The flipper flopper tip is only half right. You can only kill them out of the air after their armor is broken, which only happens after you ink their circle once and they crash into the ground (and you don't splat them, giving them time to recover and get away). However this can be useful in niche scenarios where you have the opportunity to ink the circle but you'd rather lead them back to the basket before splatting them to make it easier to collect the eggs.
I love the attempt, but uh... No, you are wrong. The armor is simply that: armor. Extra HP the flipper flopper has unless you get rid of it with the ring. If you concentrate fire on it long enough (especially noticable with high range and DPS weapons like splatlings and the gloogahs), you can just take them down without even bothering with the circle. Makes me wonder if you actually watched that clip, since the flipper flopper is still armored when it's killed in the clip
5:58 - They actually patched that recently (by removing the collision between the drone and player). I'm not sure why because it doesn't effect the gameplay, but we all know Nintendo doesn't care.
Some small things I've spotted in the city. There's a shop the sells Marie and Callie figures and there's a splatoon manga just laying out there by the piggy gate
Next to the bowl of noodles in Grizzco's building there's a figurine of one of C-Side's pet shrimp. And if you look at one of the ( unusable ) stores in the square? There's Callie and Marie dolls on display in the windows.
If you don’t manage to splat a flipper flopper before it goes back in the ground you can shoot it when it is shooting it’s ink rind and kill it while in the ground
A little Easter egg is that if you watch the Japanese version of the direct at the bodem of hammer head bridge you can see commander tar tar's statue from Octo expansion in the water

You can jump over the ladle with a well timed jump or jumping and walking towards the middle of the ship
I thought it pushed you off regardless of what the ladle looks like, as in the hitbox will knock you off no matter what

The lid crushes steelheads even if the bomb isnt exposed from my experience with it
It will literally instantly kill *anything* underneath it except Cohozuna. It doesn't matter whether that thing is armored or not.

The original way of killing it is to ink the ink ring it shoots, then kill it once once it dives
