If you have bleached hair and want to dye it black you need to dye it red first then it'll never go green x
Dog I had Platinum blonde asf locs and I just bought DARK DARK black dye and left it in for 40 minutes and my hair has been black asf since. After 5 washes (wash days) it’s faded out to a kind of normal dark black rather than the obviously dye black it was. It’s now been 2 months of the black and I’m pretty much stuck at this regular black. No fading or green turning at all. Idk if you’re saying in the far future it would fade but for me rn 2 months into black dye from platinum blonde, I have no issues

It’s cause dark hair typically has a lot of warm colors, like oranges and reds and yellows. That’s why when you bleach your hair it can turn an orangey color if you dont leave it in long enough. So if you dont want it to turn green you gotta put red and whatnot in it first or something. Brad mondo explained it loads better

I’m spending my night crocheting back in 5 of my dreads tonight. I cut them off and cut out a lot of weak spots. Everything in dc is still closed/banned 😩. I used a new bleach and I might have really fucked up this time, there’s so much breakage in my lap already
great video. The only thing i would say is that all hair is dead out of your scalp. The term for the hair that no longer attached to your scalp is shed hair. Usually this falls off and end up in your pillow of will fall off in your day to day activities but with dreads they stay and keep them tick.

The reason your hair turns green when you try to dye it dark is because the yellow of the bleached hair and then the greens within the black dye mix and amplify the green. He would have had to have gone organgish red before going black, to cancel out the yellows.

Just ask for either a drop fade, hightop dreads, or a taper all around, make sure u tell them u want yo hairline tapered too if u want that crispy lining look wit em, juss look uo pics of each cut to see more exactly what u want or u can even show your barber his hair too

Dog. I had legit Platinum locs for a minute and then decided to go back to DARK black and I let it sit for 40 minutes to fully get in there and I have now had black hair again for 2 months and I’ve never had an issue with the green-ing you mentioning.
