vince i love this series. just a man and his armies, amazing work as always man. people like you make it a little easier for people like me to pick up a brush and keep goin
Mind blowing! I’ve literally just started warhammer and have gone with Ironjawz. Taking so much inspiration from your army they really are stunning. Thanks for all the amazing videos so helpful for a newb like me
4:45 I totally get what you mean by the regular shaman guy standing out. I couldn't put my finger on it until you said it and showed this picture. Totally agree.
Loved the video. Watched the while thing while I had lunch. I like how you go over everything from paint to creativity to mistakes, etc... I also learned from this video to not be too critical of my own painting(one of the reason I'm such a slow painter). ....and please forgive my comment spam, it's just how I roll.
Comment spam is more than welcome. I have to try to look at my own stuff for the stuff I like and be honest with where I came up short. It's the only way we get better or take our next steps. At the same time, it's definitely true that you can't be too critical or reach for perfection. Perfection is impossible, so try to achieve something and move on, be happy, never satisfied. :)
In the Forgotten Realms during 3rd edition, there is a Orc named Obould Many-arrows that is essentially creating an giant orc nation right in the middle of the Western Heartlands because he doesn't just auto-fight all the Dwarves and humans in the area.
Fantastic looking army! Until now i only ever saw your Egg-Krusha from the front and i thought it looked kinda weird but now seeing it from the sides it made a lot more sense^^
Yep, just double-checked. There is ONE variant around that has carcinogenic chemicals in it, namely the blue variant, at least according to my totally intense 1 minute googling. Maybe avoid using that kind, just to be safe.
Love this army, the light blue contrasted by the lava looks so good. Two things I'm not sure about I feel the skin looks to close to the armor for my taste, its not bad but I'd have liked a lean into more green or something to make it stand out from each other and I don't like the lava bubbles as they too much like balls sitting on top of the lava rather than bubbles coming up from the lava. Of course this is just my person tastes and your painting is amazing, love to see people take orcs in a different color than the normal orcy colors.
It's definitely too close. It's the wrong choice and I know it,but in the end, it's the colors I liked and that I wanted to paint, so I made an intentionally wrong choice for my own enjoyment. That being said, you are correct. :)
Great video. And i think that hammers and blunt weapons wouldn't be called choppas by orcs as they don't slash(chop) but smash so they would be most probably be called smashas
I sure do, 2 actually. Here is generic battle damage and rust streaks - ruclips.net/video/1mhVUKELXuo/видео.html Here is that armor specifically - ruclips.net/video/0umh21nkmDs/видео.html&index=109

@@VinceVenturella thanks Vince!! :) I don't think one person has had as much an impact on my painting as you, so also thanks for taking the time to make these videos they super helpful and inspiring.
25:02 aww, the megaboss on MawChicken, I see you used the 'Ard boyz head. I would have suggested this head from the orc Warboss ki(if you could get it) www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Orruk-Warboss Still a really cool model you made there :)
Those didn't have an airbrush, they were all brush. All other units, I did use an airbrush, you can see how here - ruclips.net/video/0umh21nkmDs/видео.html
@@VinceVenturella how did you get such a great skin color? I love that it's a unique green and it goes so well with the blue. I was thinking of using that Vallejo Magic Blue to make the armor look icey and that unique skin color you have. Like the ironjawz are from a muddy icey death world worshiping Tszeench. They're "smart" orcs lol
It's a fairly simple green recipe, you can find the whole process here. - ruclips.net/video/QcnAyDGUA1E/видео.html&list=PLcdsbwBroEmD2fNEJhcju6PD7qRmoo04Y Hope that helps.
Nope, these are Huldra Blue, Amarth Blue (Scale 75), Payne's Grey (FW Ink) and various whites. The how to paint Ironjawz armor video will show the exact paints and techniques.
I can't help but say that if it were my army, and the armor was that blue, I would want to add grey to it. However, I feel a bit silly trying to advise someone with so much more talent (and painted minis) than me.

I swear you can frame the palette, looks great
Your work is beautiful.
Thank you, that is deeply appreciated. :)
10:00 totally agree with the mix and matching the weapons. It looks really good on orks to not have them all with the same weapon loadout.

An amazing army and an even more amazing centerpiece.

👍👍👍
Striking creative choices beautifully executed at well above a tabletop standard
This video makes me want to start an Ironjawz army. Amazing work as always, Vince.

Obould is a great character, very familiar with him. :)
Pickping up my jaw from the floor. amazing paintjob and sick colour scheme!! and ORCS ';,,,,;'
Glad you like it!
That is very awesome work love the colour scheme love the conversions especially one at the end.
Thank you, it was a real passion project and I am glad to know it came out well. :)
Thanks for sharing. Really interesting techniques and seeing the 🎨 was really insightful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gloriously gorgeous army man!
So talented! Even your palette looks like a work of art. Frame it and put it on the wall behind you for Warhammer Weekly's.
Thank you sir, it was funny to realize that was how it looked and I had to share. :)

Thank you, that is very much appreciated. It's one of my favorite models I've converted and I've had wonderful fun with him.
Beautiful! That armour is my favorite part of the spectrum. Warchikkin is funny af.
Thank you, I do love my War Chicken. :)
Silica beads aren't toxic at all, the packets only say do not eat in case people think they're food or small children choke on them.
Oh, good to know. I believed the propaganda on the packets. ;) - That being said, I am still not sure I would eat them.

Will you ever show your Bretonnia army?
I really want to rephoto all the armies and show them sometime this year.
Did you use air brush for this ardboys ?
And how did you do blue ?

Are you going to change anything about this army now that the new Ironjaws (with stikkas (read halberds), and cool helmets)?
I'll add some of the new Ard Boyz but the old ones will likely stay around as well. :)
How did you get the extra helmets for the brutes and warboss
Just extra heads from Ard Boys and similar kits.
@@VinceVenturella did you buy multiple ard boyz kits or that many came in one
@@gladiatordude3723 It was multiple kits, don't remember exactly how many.
Where did you get those keg pieces?
Resin Casting from Hirst Arts molds. They have some wonderful molds for that kind of accouterments.
after doing another deep dive into the hobby cheating videos are these blue orks (borks) plasma fluid?
Nope, these are Huldra Blue, Amarth Blue (Scale 75), Payne's Grey (FW Ink) and various whites. The how to paint Ironjawz armor video will show the exact paints and techniques.
