I truly believed that juice could of gone on to be one of the greats, he wasn’t just a rapper he was a full blown artist. Amazing at rapping, could sing melodic could freestyle like it was easy. He could make music for all types of people.
    RIP juice man

Definitely, if you don't believe Juice could rap go watch the Em freestyle video. Dude rapped flawlessly over classic Em beats for 50+ minutes. Em himself has said that video made Godzilla happen. Makes me all the more ashamed that I didn't accept Juice before, and just saw him as one of the new school mumble rappers. Don't get me wrong I hate mumble rap, but Juice was one of the few genuinely talented new school artists and Laroi is following closely in his footsteps. Speaking of, I don't get why hardcore Juice fans hate him. Juice genuinely wanted Laroi to succeed, and yes he gave him a free verse for that to happen but so fucken what? I'll agree that some of Grade A's actions since Juice's death have been sus (putting Laroi on Hate The Other Side, etc), but direct the hate to them man. Laroi doesn't deserve it, and Juice wouldn't have wanted it. In fact, Juice would have been so proud of Laroi, and I mean that.
Gone way way too soon. It's always the good one's that go isn't it? LLJW.

@@aidanthomas2510 I'm glad you with Juice now. I think the people who despise Laroi have many reasons, most of which I don't agree with at all. I love Laroi's music, have been listening since early 2020, and Juice since way before that early on in his career too. I think the Juice fans either see him as like a "rebound" artist or they just don't know the full story between Laroi and Juice meeting and connecting. I knew that Juice and Bibby heard Laroi's music and could tell that he had potential with his melodies and flows at such a young age and ended up picking him up. It only hit me recently that for that time, Laroi was with Juice the majority of the time, up until he passed away. Just from all the old videos of Laroi, he's extremely talented and Juice was the best thing that could've ever happened for him and his career. Literally nobody else but Juice would've provided the mentorship, I assume, he received from Juice. But I think Juice fans just don't care to understand or just don't know. And the obvious reasons like you said about Grade A and what they've been doing. Laroi is not an industry plant. He started receiving recognition around the time of Juice's death and only skyrocketed from there. He's not only a talented artist, but his performances are great. Not many go out there and give the typa energy he gives at every show. Something he had before meeting Juice and only elevated after being alongside Juice. He's a humble guy that genuinely just cares about his craft.
On a side note, in Juice's song "Legends Never Die" which was a tribute to other artists who had recently passed way too young. He said something about "we ain't making it past 21" and he died at 21. Juice seemed to almost predict the way he was gonna go, rapping lyrics about od'ing and the drugs taking him. I mean yea it's pretty obvious when you take that many things, somethings bound to happen, but it's just crazy to hear it in his music. Laroi's really early drops when he was like 14/15 were always about how he knew he was gonna blow up and that he would be ready for it. In the BTS for his "Go" MV, one of the guys said he's gonna blow up overnight after getting the Juice verse, and Laroi just calmly goes bet, i've been ready my whole life. Maybe he's just gonna live out his manifestations the same way Juice did. 999 forever, LLJW.

@@star08094 yeah I still do feel it is a shame I never discovered or respected Juice earlier, would have LOVED to have seen him live. But yeah I agree 100%. I also agree with you on Laroi, they definitely see him as a Juice copycat but while there are similarities (he sounded A LOT like Juice on the second verse of Love Again), mostly I believe due to the way Juice mentored Laroi, they're still their own artists to me. And yeah I feel a lot of the hate should be directed at Bibby & Grade A as, while they do deserve a lot of respect for putting Laroi on, they have acted, in some cases, downright sus when it comes to how they've handled Juice's music. They, and Juice's hardcore fans, have also dragged Ally's name through the mud and I can pretty confidently say Juice would NEVER have wanted that.
I truly discovered Juice and Laroi in about 2021. My favourite song of his is Wishing Well and man when I discovered that and a few others, I played them on repeat for a solid minute and just said to myself 'how did I never appreciate this guy earlier'. I also agree about the literal predictions, they're all over Wishing Well too. They're sad songs now in hindsight, but they're hard to not bump at the same time. Such was the talent of Juice, and is the talent of Laroi.
Laroi is friggen talented too, I've found myself playing more and more off of F**k Love as time goes on and can't wait for his new album. He came to Australia last year and I'm so sad I didn't get to go. Definitely will one day, not making the same mistake I did with Juice with Laroi.
Hell, you have to be talented to get a Justin Bieber feature. I slept on Stay for a bit, because you know 'ooo Justin Bieber' and I hadn't heard anything of JB's since the big songs on, I think Purpose is it called? I know they came out in 2015 (Love Yourself, Sorry, What Do You Mean). But the first time I heard it I instantly thought, 'why is this more catchy than I want to admit it is'. And I have to say, despite having made some of the cringiest songs of my time, Justin has really changed and grown as a person and artist. I can now admit, he has made some great music. If the photo Laroi shared for JB's birthday is correct, that would suggest he inspired the pianos for stay and I gotta say, job well done. 2 years and 2 billion streams later, here we are.

@@aidanthomas2510 After hearing the loss of Juice, one of my first reactions were "holy I'll never be able to see him live." I found Juice right when Lucid dreams dropped, so way before he completely blew up even though he was already big at the time. His music has always been an outlet for me, just to turn on and bump whenever I need it. Laroi proved to have the same effect for me very early on. My brother actually showed me his song Diva right when it came out and I thought it was whatever. But then I listened to Let Her Go and kept digging until I realized that this kid was legit. Found out he was with Juice and it just all made sense. His F*ck Love project was amazing. Just raw talent. I've yet to go to one of his shows, but I'm hoping he comes here soon, so I'll be able to. Both Juice and Laroi have been my top 2 on spotify for the past 3 years now. What you said about Grade A and Bibby, I agree with. Especially with how they handled Juice's death and his music. It is what it is though, as a listener, I just enjoy his music. Also, I tend to be up to date with Laroi's music, and he was dropping snippets of Stay for a while, as he kinda does for most of his song. I don't think I knew JB was gonna be on it at the time, but JB has always been someone I respected and liked listening to occasionally. Love that friendship that they created. Very excited for the album coming soon from Laroi.

Then I heard it and I tell you, I'm not a big cryer (though I have cried a lot more than I'd like to admit these past few years) but it was hard to stop myself crying. I just felt empty after it. It was hard to not want to listen again because it's such a beautiful song, but it was a hard listen at the same time. In the past 3 months I’ve lost a close family member and a close friend, so this one really hits home at the moment. It’s not often a song makes me cry, but every time I’ve heard this since the first preview a year ago, I’ve cried. Laroi’s songwriting is well ahead of his years, for an 18 year old (at the time he wrote this) to be able to conceptualise like this is a one of a kind talent. Seeing his mentor and close friend pass away in front of him at 16 would’ve been heartbreaking

I can relate to the song so much because I lost my dad 3 years ago when I was 21. That denial stage was something I fought off heavy and never truly went through because even though I wanted to call him and escape reality I couldn't because I knew I had his phone.
