    Fun fact: among all these tribes Chukchi were the most powerful and aggressive, having their own slavery-based mini empire and their raids reaching as far as Alaska. Even their name means "a proper human" as they saw others as not humans. The only people they accepted as half-humans were Russians, however even they had only one purpose to exist- to produce vodka, guns and matches and sell all these to Chukchi.

      Another one: almost all surrounding tribes e.g. Koryaks and Buryats were so fed up with Chukchi raids that they joind Russians in a number of wars against them and Chukchi managed to almost always fight them off Asterix and Obelix style, the wars started at late 17th century and now guess who finished the conquest of Chukotka?

    Oh hey, I played a Chavchuveny run recently and followed roughly that strategy! Well, I was trying to form Qing so I wasn't as focused on the relentless push west, but my early game was nearly exactly as you described. Got unbelievably lucky and landed gold in Jugjur 1st try, no reset needed. I have 2 addendums which people who attempt this run might find useful:
    1. While you're doing nothing in the early game, humiliate one of the other Siberian OPMs to achieve an age of discovery objective and start building up splendor. Since you'll be colonizing early, I think the best age ability you can pick is the one that grants +1 to all devs in colonized provinces. It's much better than usual since you're colonizing land for yourself instead of a future colonial nation/trade company.
    2. If you don't particularly care for keeping your tag and Kamchatkan culture (arguably the worst culture group in the game), culture convert to Jurchen and form Manchu. Colonizing Siberia will give you a bunch of banners you wouldn't normally get, and Manchu has solid ideas as opposed to the Siberians' absolute garbage heap.

    • @GraveFable25
      @GraveFable25 4 года назад +2

      I did a WC with Chukchi a while ago, one thing i'd add to this is to no-cb haixi or korchin as they get dow'ed by Ming and vasalize them.
      That way you can become a tributary of Ming once you integrate them so you can take out his other tributaries.
      I also focused on becoming horde asap and then chain truce broke Ming.

    • @blafoon93
      @blafoon93 4 года назад

      Definitely culture shift, but I say don't go Jurchen because Jurchen culture while insanely strong, doesn't give you the mission tree that the Mongolian culture group will. If you plan to move your capital to Europe, then there is no better mission tree. You probably have to do the capital move without the missions but perma claims on all of Eastern Europe, Persia, Caucasus, China and Central Asia.... permanent -15% province warscore cost!

    • @Comintern1919
      @Comintern1919 4 года назад

      Do be honest, I never get people wanting to culture shift.
      In that case you could just play a nation of the culture in the first place.
      After all, if difficulty is the reason you play that nation to begin with, wouldn't it be more difficult and thus much more interesting to stick with the worse culture?
      I really see no reason to culture shift no matter from what point of view.

    • @LiterallyWho1917
      @LiterallyWho1917 3 года назад

      @@Comintern1919 It's to be able to form nations and stack permanent modifiers from their mission trees for a minmaxy build. Look at Florryworry in his campaigns, particularly is current one. He's playing Bohemia and formed Croatia, then Sardinia Piedmont, then Saxony then Prussia and combined with going Hussite (had to briefly flip protestant to form Prussia then flip back) he stacks so much Culture Conversion and years of separatism reduction that his build will allow for 90+% culture conversion cost reduction and like not even 5 years of separatism (it would be 100 on these things but the devs make sure there are hard limits on these modifiers). That way you can easily convert the entire world to one culture.
      It's admittedly pretty gamey and advanced, and the example I gave is just one possible use, but it opens up a world of possibilities. Iirc, it's still possible and super easy to form the lesser know tag of Ruthenia as Lithuania by just unstating a few non ruthenian culture states and making ruthenians your primary culture and getting admin 10 as another example.

This immediately puts you in a position to conquer the Ainu, which is great because they have a grassland province which is perfect for developing feudalism. I don't know how feasible it is now, but my favorite Siberian strategy is actually just fucking off from Asia entirely and moving to the New World. If you devote all your resources to getting the exploration ideas, you can easily get to Alaska by the late 1400s. If you then move your capital to a completed colony there and sell your Siberian province to one of your neighbors there, you actually still migrate around like the Native American and Siberians. I tend to move my capital with them to where San Francisco is today and consolidate a strong home region in California, potentially getting a gold province or two early on if you're lucky. From there it is easy enough to conquer the Western half of the US without much resistance, and crush the European colonies with your home-continent advantage of not having to move troops all the way from Europe.

    Nice guide, but needs one correction: religious rebels will convert you if you agree to their demands when more than half of your country is their religion, letting them siege down the capital isn't necessary (and if they occupy the capital while less than half of your country is their religion you won't convert so letting them take the capital offers no benefits over just agreeing to their demands yourself)

    Why convert from Tengri? It has decision for +2 tolerance and has great diplo ability, switching syncretic faith according to circumstances.
    Alternative strategy:
    Conquer Ninkv / yeren/ whatever to be able to construct 1 heavy ship and 2 lightships. Explore Alaska, disband. make sure you can send colonist there, if not, enforce migration on Kamchatdalis. As soon as colonist starts colonising, decalre war on whover want your land and give away all provinces in Asia, you will be teleported to new world and your colony immediately finished.
    Migrate south toward Nahuatl. If nothing has changed last path, negative stability allows faster migration. Once you reach Nahuatl land, you should be able to turn into horde, because effectively all the time you have 0% autonomy. Choose Nahuatl as syncretic faith - it increases razing ability. Take all mexico for yourself and swim in mana poaints.
    Later you can declare reconquest on Asian land or just go straight to Africa / western Europe (some colonial nations should be established) razing everything to the ground :P
    I think better than wandering in weak Muscovite land :P

    Great video. Are you sure going Ortho is worth the half century wreck you have to suffer? Maybe easier to get Sunni or even Hindu or something, which is also good for CCR for instance? As you probably know Arumba says Sunni > Ortho for WCs due to piety slider. I'm not so sure but even you say Sunni is a top 3. Maybe it's worth it if the transition is shorter and less painful? That's the thing I am hung up on here.

  • @raikaria3090
    @raikaria3090 4 года назад +1

    Once I played the Siberians to test Renaissance spread.
    You can travel to Russia; pick up Renaissance and come back before Renaissance gets to China.
    Also isn't this strategy just doomed if Ming forces Tributary with Oirat early?
    You should ALWAYS go Horde after going Orthodox; since when you reform away from Horde [And you can do so immediately] you reform into Eastern Tech over Chinese. This is 'Easternisation'. Easily worth 10 corruption. Also Theocracies don't suck. Free Prestige; early 10% morale; free policies...

    • @AlzaboHD
      @AlzaboHD  4 года назад

      To be fair, Oirat will attempt independence quite a few times since their liberty desire is high. If they are a tributary you can always colonize around them if needed

    • @raikaria3090
      @raikaria3090 4 года назад

      @@AlzaboHD That slows you significantly; and gives Russia a lot more time. They may become too strong to defeat. If Ming is doing well Oirat won't break free.
      Also; you should always go Horde; even if you want to go another Gov.form. Going Horde gives you Horde units; which then reform into *Eastern* because you're Christian. [Christian Hordes become Eastern, Muslims become Muslim, and anything else becomes Chinese tech on reform]
      So you get Eastern tech instead of Chinese. 10 corruption is a small price to pay.
