Oh anna i wanted to give you a hug. I've been there - although Noah's case wasn't as severe. But it was bad enough. so many friends/relatives didn't take it seriously which really upset me. Thanks for highlighting this xx

JK and Charlie thank you, I'd have loved that hug too! It's been such a difficult journey and yes you are so right, so few people understand how serious it is. It wasn't an easy vid to film but I've been wanting to do it for ages. Phew, it's done. Thanks for the love. ❤️

Wonder woman! I endured 6 months of this minus the stop breathing part and its the hardest thing I have ever been through. Above all do not feel guilty about having him sleep on you, you did everything you could to help your shild! Thank you so much for sharing!

This is similar to what I went through too. My baby didn’t stop breathing either but she screamed for 6 months. She is now 24 years old and still has terrible acid reflux.
And I also can start crying anytime I think about how traumatic this was for me too. 24 years later!
She is now a registered nurse and works at an endoscopy clinic so she knows she can easily have a test done and so more for her acid reflux.
My husband suffered with this for 40 years and finally had nissen fundiplication surgery to fix it.

Her story is my story. I relate so much. No one could give me advise and i was so alone with this poor helpless little boy who had horrible reflux. He's 3 now and after going through infantile anorexia because of the reflux he has so many delays. Praying for your boy and mine. Just want you to know that you're not the only mom who has had to deal with this. My son had a similar episode when he was born. We were in the hospital room sleeping after he was born and all the sudden I hear my baby choking. I woke up immediately and look at him and HE HAD HIS LITTLE HAND REACHING UP FOR ME FOR DEAR LIFE CHOKING!! I freaked out and my husband and the nurse had to suck the amniotic fluid out of him. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night or stop crying.

Thank you for posting. Nice to know I'm not alone. The choking is so traumatic. I also called an ambulance on one occasion when my baby couldn't breathe. I had to stick my finger down her throat to clear it. She chokes every single day multiple times a day, but it's much less severe with medication. I also find that cool bottles from the fridge help her feel better. I'll pump and make it cold then feed her upright. I wanted her to sleep in the crib but there was no way that was happening after she stopped breathing, she sleeps with me. I haven't slept well in months.

Hai im randomly searching videos if any baby has same problem as mine I got through your video after 6yrs😂 it’s too long. I hope you can help me 😢.I’m also suffering with the same problem with my baby from 3months. In 24hrs I’m holding him for 16 hours in upright. I’m exhausted when he is sleepy I have rock him on steps or have to do squats my shoulder and legs are hurting badly. With that tension in getting headache and losing too much of hair. I’m using medicine but no change. Could you please help me at which month baby can sleep on their back with long stretches.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My baby is 11 weeks and I’m dealing with this. It’s been almost a week since his last acid episode and everyday I’m so anxious it’s going to happen…. Deff has taken joys of motherhood from me and i have to go to therapy already. Prob will not have another baby just bc im scared my next one could have it again..: I heard it peaks around 4-6 months and it could get better or worse i am just so scared of what’s next to come… im praying these meds and thickening his formula is going to work and he outgrows it…. But the worse part has been that no doctor believed me they told me i was just anxious … it hurts when doctors see the baby gaining weight and thinks he’s fine but they don’t hear the cries or they don’t see you passing the baby between you and your husband to calm him down. I try so hard to to resent my baby and keep having to remind myself it’s not his fault

My son had reflux and the Zantac prescribed him didn't help him at all. Getting through the first few months was tough, but I found that he slept better (and so did I) when he was taking babies magic tea. I also fed him smaller amounts more frequently. I nursed and was drinking this stuff too, but you could probably try the same thing with the bottle!

Thanks for sharing your story. I have 2 under 1yr and a half. My first born had silent reflux and it was horrible. My now 2 months old also has it. I'm finding it so heartbreaking, I'm drained and so sad for my 17 month old who's mom is so busy with a screaming and crying baby. Can you give me more tips on how to manage my time and energy for my silent reflux baby and my busy toddler.

I sleep with my new born baby girl 2 in my bed every night I hold her in the bed up right. I was told not to sleep with her 2 but just like your baby she does the same thing she gasp for air every time she eats not only that she throws up all the time i feel safer with me right there. I wake up and my arm hurts so bad from holding her.

Did you find a medication that actually helped? I'm struggling to get my 12 week old to eat. She cries through almost every feed and after.

How long was he on the medication for? Also, was it hard to wean him off of it? I really appreciate this video! I am currently dealing with the same situation and feeling really down about it.

Sanfoora so sorry you are going through this too. Glad the vid has helped, please consider talking to your doctor if you are feeling down as it's an incredibly tough thing to go through as a Mummy. (Diggy was on meds for years but not all babies need to stay on medication that long.) x
