You can hear a gospel influence in some of Carrie Underwood's music. "Temporary Home" and of course "Jesus Take The Wheel" and "Just A Dream" And her singing "How Great Thou Art" with Vince Gill is epic.

She makes singing seem as effortless as talking is to most of us. I also respect her so much because she uses her platform to draw attention to some important issues. She and Reba are two of the best 'storytelling' singers out there.

EPIC 90's COUNTRY TUNE!!! Martina was wayyy underrated with the pipes she has, well when compared to the bigger name auto defaults packaged for the masses like Reba, who had good songs but not nearly the vocal ability. Another 90's country hidden gem is Patty Loveless 'You Don't Even Know Who I Am', who Chris Stapleton just pulled out of retirement last month and put on the big stage again and performed that as an EPIC live duet with.🔥 Patty was about to cry when she told the audience "I'm back home y'all", and I was about to cry with her, then she and Chris slayed it. Have a great weekend! 🤙

Concrete Angel is a good one and the video is a good one to watch too
For a while live she could hold that note at the end longer. Unfortunately, now it's back to normal length. Which is still impressive.
Pop Country was called Countrypolitan for a while.

I wouldn’t say Martina’s music is country pop, I would say it’s more country R&B/Gospel.
If you like storytelling and great vocals in country music then check out Reba McEntire. Start with the song fancy. I saw you have done Garth Brooks Thunder Rolls. Another great story teller. Do his song that summer.
