I'm looking for a brushcutter to work on my farm. They are all expensive. Badger kept popping up way cheaper. Good tip on the 52cc. Thank you for the video. This was helpful and informative.
Glad to help
I had to find the best brush cutter i could for under 200. Your video just sold me a badger. Thanks man!
👍
Beautiful puppy, very family friendly, protective, will work well with Shelby and the other animals. I love her colors. She is a very lucky puppy to have y'all for a family. Peace and blessings, Steven
Thank you
This weed eater is amazing I truly loved it only thing is you need remember to move your hips when you use it or you could get tired while using it because the 52CC is a heavy duty weed eater
And you look awful prudy running it. 😂
I own two Badgers, a 52cc and 26cc. They have never given me any problems as far as starting and performance. I am glad I found them on Ebay.
I use .105 string on the 52cc, but I may be looking for something thicker. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for coming and commenting and sharing your real world experience
How do you replace the string?
@laurafair4361 The 52cc, you have to take off the spool and wrap the string around it. The 26cc is much easier. You thread the string through the holes and the head clockwise while pushing up. There are several RUclips videos that demonstrate how to string various weedeaters.
The size of string I use for the 52cc is .105, and the string I use for the 26cc is .95.
I have the old version of this brush cutter from years and years back when it was still orange and white and named sunseeker only. I was amazed at how powerful this was. Thing does not bog down and have been cutting trees down with the thing since I got it.
& that delay you are referring to does not happen on the older models.
Epa modifications I'm sure. Seems like every time they try and make something burn cleaner it runs like crap. Lol this thing will cut though it takes the trees out
If you're interested, the motor on that is mostly a "mitsubishi tle 43" either the parts fit. If like me you like to fix things.
Also a heads up., The fuel line may issues with deteriorating liner that might clog up the carb.
Thanks for the info. The liner you're speaking of should not be an issue if we're running rec 90 gas anything with ethanol will definitely make the issue worse. We will see as time goes on but honestly Mitsubishi motors are far beyond most of the cheap junk on the market.
I recently bought this. It’s in the box, waiting to be put together (which intimidates me). I also bought auxiliary wheels that attach to the shaft, so I can wheel it instead of totally carrying it.
I’m hoping this will help me with my war on bamboo.
The blade kit will be great to hit that bamboo with. Just make sure the motor is at high RPM when you go into cut then pull back but it's full up and do another section.
Heading to Home Depot now to get it.. Thanks for an excellent review
How does the three-blade cutter work on the 52 cc Wild Badger? I just bought one and was curious about the three-blade piece. Its together and raining outside. Any help is welcome.
I discussed that in the video. But the short and simple is I've run everything from stihl to echo with brush cutters. This one performs just as well and just like all the others if you're going to be out cutting small trees multiflora rose bush type then you will swing right to left cutting and you will probably need to return swing without cutting and then reenter for the next cut this allows the motor to spool back up pushing those three blades on any of these units you need to let it reset and spin back up and speed. But I took out a bunch of small pin oak trees that were like a half inch round. So it's got plenty of power and it definitely will cut. Sometimes people try to use that for tall grass and it doesn't work very well cuz it wraps up the grass. That's more for brush multiflora bushes tiny trees etc
One thing abt wild badger I like, as u said, the dont over (or under) exaggerate. Another is that they seem to b decently reliable. Haven’t personally used it but based to reviews I’ve seen, I’m thinking abt trying it (this or the 26cc) out.
For some reason people seem to like that one. I have a pretty aggressive property so the heavier duty one works better for me but it would be overkill for most regular yards. Hit us back and tell us what you think if you get it

You just sold me on this item. Thanks!
Glad to help
literally lol bought it before i finished the video
the 26cc multi tool kit same price: 1/2 reviews said (3k+) 5 star/ other 1/2 say junk.. main complaing was wouldnt start 2nd time and loose bolts.. breaks day 2... seems like quality control of builders issue!
I saw that but a lot of those reviews are older. The no start is common with all items bought off the internet as most are treated inside the cylinders.
I just bought that exact model. I know you add oil to the gas, but is there a crankcase oil fill? I can't find one Thx.
Nope
thx@@thefrugalhomestead7873
replacing the string? I cant figure out how
Look up on RUclips how to string a weed eater
Ya I went to battery years ago but I don't have a farm either.
I don't think it'll be long and I'll be able to go to battery even on my property. Obviously I have to keep big ones around for when areas get out of control. I honestly think the battery ones actually functions slightly better because of the increased speed
I just ordered one
Terrible idea...trash product. This is a BS review
I just bought one of these but it will not start! Any tips?
Has it ever ran before? In other words have you got it to start and now it won't run or you've never been able to get it to start
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 I was never able to start it, not even once
I agree with you, I bought one, and I was impressed 👌
It's definitely a solid option
Can this take attachments???
Yes they have multiple
Is it a solid shaft or cable shaft cutter
They have 3 solid shaft models one cable model
Witch models are solid shaft thanks
i had to buy another brush cutter today. my lawn is alot of overgrowth and hey. i loved my brush cutter until it was stolen. i ran a forester saw blade and a brush blade it would go threw trees. like everything nice with some worth some fucker steals it. hence buying a new one.
Yeah it seems like every year thieves get worse
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 yeah Steven me didn't put it in the shed l
@@gogereaver349 The video we're putting out later today shows how bad the thieves are getting. They got us for a couple bundles off our firewood stands they hadn't even been out one day
Is there anyone that will review both good and bad products?
I generally don't review bad products I end up sending them back to the company or not making a video about them if they suck. I really don't want people who watch my video to displeased with their purchases. That said project farm sounds more up your alley where he tests multiple things against each other
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 and the torque test channel. I favor the channels that are not selling the items they review of getting free stuff.
Well honestly we're not selling anything I don't have a store. I do share a link to Amazon that I make $0.50 off each weed eater they sell. So if you think that's making money. Reality is this is a product that we work continuously and it runs great for us. I would much rather somebody buy one of these than some no name crap that will break after three uses. Sorry if you don't think that's fair or good
If someone only makes videos they make a commission on no matter how small, it is a sales pitch, not a review.
@@thepubliceye thats very one sided way of looking at it considering if its junk i dont review it on my channel. But please show us how its done invest all the money and time to educate us on how to do it correctly. i will gladly subscribe and watch.
Price is good vary good but i don't trust it to last,
Ours is still running strong
I've had this for 3 weeks, 3rd use the machine now bogs and dies, and it acts like it doesn't want to turnover. Not happy with this product so far...
What gas mix are you using and are you using synthetic 2 cycle oil?
After all that I would check the plug. Ours is running amazing getting used twice a week here and at my son's house.
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 had the right 50:1 gas, but the gas went stale faster than usual. Runs like new now, but still, old machines would've handled it better.
@@anSRVenjoyer that is true but That's every machine nowadays due to how much crap they're putting in our gas. That ethanol draws in moisture and makes the gas flat. If you have a place around you that sells true gasoline without ethanol use that for all of your yard work stuff. That stuff keeps for like 6 to 8 months
Mine started once and won’t start again
Did you put the correct two cycle gas in as in gas mixed with oil?.
Yea vp small engine pre mix gas + oil with no ethanol 2 cycle fuel
@@Gtrecirds That's what we run VP oil considering they use cheap spark plugs be very well could have a bad one.
We bought one and the shaft broke the first time we used it! Do not buy the Badger!
Did you buy this one or the smaller one?
