Good practice to set house bwk ( brickwork back from arch, as it will inevitability crack, at that point mastic can be applied. As a retired bricklayer with 50yrs experience it seems a shame that we are not teaching youngsters how to build arches and such the old skilful way
@user-kj1pt3yo2r not sure what the cost saving is on the performed arch but there would be a lot of lads who would much then and have uneaven cuts I bet
The guy's that think profiles are killing the trade are sure gonna love those pre fab arches I've done a bunch of arches but at this point I'm not gonna complain about something that makes my life easier I haven't used one yet anyway but I have done a jack arch were the bricks where specially made but I still had to lay them individually
Is it a Coke trowel my fellow American Phil that was at Super trowel said in the comments on one of Collison's videos that he uses one for competitions I know he won his regional competition and has been in the national spec mix competition at least a couple of times he teaches brick and block laying and has some really good videos for beginners on his channel Masonry201
Changy and Izzy had falling out last week when packing tools up in the van !! Changy to a swing for him and they had a scuffle over nothing really and they parted ways !!! Silly if you ask me

@@Changy_Chow many times?
Not easy that pal and it does look above the catnic little bit up and down but overall looks good and no one will see when built 👍👍
@dciburnsidesniffsniff6119 to be fair, over the catnic there ain't much wiggle room with these extra bits of plastic clips
Agree pal ! I watch most of your videos and your spot on good clean trowel 👍 how’s Scott & Dean ?
Should always pull a line..🙄
The arch is sticking out so he can't pull a line from one end to the other
Coke trowel ?
That’s my guess too
Yeah that's what the American Phil said he uses on one of Collison's videos and he was at Super Trowel so you already know
