Video of setting the house back down would be educational for those thinking of attempting the same thing. Your method of commentary lends itself to be beneficial to those wanting insight into your thought process as you continue forward one step at a time. Nice to get this behind you and that the downpour held off 😊. Looking forward to your next upload.
Trust me watching you build you house foundation is better than anything on TV. I have dabbled in this before but not this much and not basically by myself. It's quit an undertaking. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and hopefully future videos.
Thanks for sharing.....yes it is pretty kool.....for us youtubers who find this content so much more refreshing than the traditional TV. Keep up the good work and know that you are appreciated. God bless you and your family.
I definitely want to see a video of you lowering the house. I'm actually surprised you set anchor bolts ahead. Getting them all to line up when you put it down is going to be a beast of an endeavor.
It's very cool when people do significant modifications to what is a fairly modest home, essentially upgrading it to substantial homestead. The love stays, and the reflection of a better quality of life is incorporated.
I think it’s just wonderful that you managed all the family to still live in the house right the way through the project. That was your cleverest achievement 👍
Enjoy every episode, fantastic job. Some folks don't get how many details there are to manage for it to come out right and not turn into a castrophe. You've done great and deserve a high five. This is the begining of light at the end of the tunnel.
Yes please show all the processes I find it fascinating …when I was younger my Dad moved our two story farm house about five miles and we lived in the house while up on large Timbers fir two weeks so I am familiar with what you are living through ..really enjoy your videos, Thanks
@@alanpurdy703Homeowner said towards end of commentary that concrete had been vibrated. Was also a concern of mine as I watched that he was possibly compromising some aspects of the build by not vibrating concrete to prevent air pockets forming!
We all like every detail, so keep filming!! This channel needs to grow so you can offset your costs! We’re looking for normal diversions in this crazy world to maintain our sanity, so everyone wins with your content!
Congratulations on a successful concrete pour. That's always something that needs to be celebrated, especially when it's a huge milestone like this one! :) Looking forward to the next step!
Great job ! you sure took your time in the planning which paid off in the end! Let's see the lowering of the house , very interesting. All us DIY guys learn a lot watching these videos.
sooo... whens the next vod? i'm totally invested in this sketchy build XD also i really wouldn't bother with the floor till last or atleast getting the original house back onto solid foundation that should be the 1st priority aka getting that steel work in on the open end setting the house back down & secured atleast you won't be living on a literal jenga tower. also i kinda want to see you do some landscaping after the jenga house is completed that would be interesting!!!
Pump truck driver was very skilled! Great video as always. As for posting a video of you lowering the house, please do. I’m totally invested in this series and think what you are doing is incredible.
I like how you take us along for the ride, it’s educational and you are good at explaning your thoughts. Keep the videos coming please, even if it’s a ”small” thing. Shout out from Sweden. 🤓👍🏻
Yes very informative of how the whole process is being done. Great video. Congratulations on the pour. Yes would like to see the progress of lowering the house. Please video all the progress, valuable lessons to see.
Please do post video of setting the house back down. I find this project fascinating and would like to see that big milestone, as I'm sure a lot of other people would too.
Dude that is so cool. My dad has done it twice. One was 100 year old farmhouse and the other an almost new house built in the 80s. We never actually had to lift the houses but still jacked them up to build a new foundation underneath. The 80s house was transforming a crawlspace into a basement
Let's see the house lowering. Place the floor joists BEFORE back filling, wouldn't want to see all that nice straight wall slip out of plumb or worse. outstanding series - keep up the great work!! and thank you for taking time to edit and post.
Of course we want to see the house being set down! We didn't come all this way to not see that! 😂 Great video and happy that you're one step closer to completion. Curious about that little snippet of vintage video footage at the end...
We just turned on this video!!🎉😲🎉... So very glad that all went well!! I was a nervous wreck just watching. So very glad you got this step done successfully!!! Whew 😅😅
More video, we absolutely want to see the whole addition/remodel. BTW at the time I watched this there was about 55k views and 23k subscribers. Help the guy out everyone, hit the Like and Subscribe buttons, it doesn't cost you anything!

I always new that I had as much since as the next guy more than most ,I didn't let not having done something stop me from trying .enjoy your vetos keep up the good work.the hard parts done
Man love the videos. I have to imagine how much work you have put it but it's looking great and you have probably saved 100k or so in labor cost alone. Keep up the good work.
Why did you pour in rounds? Is that so the air would bubble up? Did you vibrate at all. Im only half way through and all i have seen is guys beating on the walls. Never mind I see the guy with the vibrator. Great job. What a lot of work. Damn!!!
Wow what a huge undertaking; very impressive. Yes please do a part or full video on dropping the house back down. We are finding your entire project very interesting thank you. All the best from Perth Western Australia.
Great job! You can really see how much effort and preparation went into this project. It was fascinating to watch the process and all the details. Looking forward to the next video to see you lower the house and continue the construction!

Much much Love and Respect to you, your Lady and all your family sunshine, from Scotland x Stay safe, Be and be Blessed IJN Amen x
Another great pour and video. I'll watch any and all videos you make but don't shorten them too much. This was a complicated pour but all your stress about it was understandable and evaporated with the concrete. Before you set the house down you might want to consider using foam padding on the foundation and then drop the house. Love your narration too.
HECK YES I WANNA SEE YOU DROP THE HOUSE BACK DOWN!!!!! I WANNA SEE IT ALL!!! I LOVE WATCHING PEOPLE UPGRADE THEIR HOMES.. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ADD A FRIGGN BASEMENT TO A LOGCABIN!!! lol And that is SO COOL that your Pops did that same type of work (I'm guessing that's the case) - WOW! 25 YEARS!!! I was just graduating High School when that was being filmed... TIME FLIES (and bellies get bigger lol)
Yea sir... film it ALL!!. This has been such an interesting adventure to go on with you. I await each new video... soon as I see, I click lol. Now you're going to have to find more houses to buy and do this stuff too. ( hopefully we can help you fund it ) Video at the end it was so cool to see.
If you know the PSI formula of the mix from the batch plant you can do some calculations on curing times, but the safest way is to talk to them, as they are the experts on curing times of their batches. Most concrete only reaches it full compressive strength after 28 days of curing in the right conditions. After 7 days, the concrete will have already achieved around 75% of its compressive strength, but that last 25% can be very important, depending on the mix you used and the loads it will have to carry.
I was nervous watching the video, because I know how intimidating a huge project is when you start it. But, so rewarding when accomplished, and all the money saved. Great job!
Great to see progress but you should have had someone else vibrating the concrete as you shot it down into the forms. There are gonna be major voids and hollow spots throughout the foundation. Potential weak spots and leaky basement.

Hi great job ,I probably just mist it ,but did you use a vibrater to settle concrete and remove air pockets .cheers from North Yorkshire UK .

Great to see the concrete going in! I like the drone footage, and seeing another concrete lorry/cement truck turn up! Brilliant!
A lorry is different from a cement truck. Lorrys mix while it’s being poured cement trucks mix while the drive so when the truck get there it’s ready

Awesome. Always feels good to get the concrete pour out of the way. Cool project.
It amazing how the ICF is DIY friendly. Saves thousands over a masonry crew
