- In this video I build the floor system on my walkout basement house addition. Set the sill plates, roll the I joists, then install the floor deck. I also finish most of the backfilling around the foundation.

Looking good. Also definitely try warming up the can.
I envy your balance. I never could do that even when I was younger much less now.
I only fell twice

I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! TY!
Thank you!
Amazing my dream Garage 👍
It looks AWESOME!! It has come together so nicely! I wouldn't have been able to do it, thats for sure! And it's so cool to see the progress too.. I Discovered your chan as you were lifting the house, so it's a big transformation, thats for sure! I can't wait to see how it all ends up! :)
Thanks👍
You can 'X' brace with Simpson Strong Tie straps made for the purpose and also have the option of using 2x lumber which actually is stiffer and a better receiver of your nails. So you don't have to stop waiting for I beams. Gluing and screwing is the only way to go. Nobody likes a floor with bounce. I like to sheet with tongue and groove 1 1/4" ply for even more stiffness. Nice job. Once its sheeted the tarp will not puddle up so that is good.
Thanks for the input👍
Are the dogs thinking "Hope there is a new dog house for us in all this mess," and maybe "Hope the dude doesn't fall."
solid midspan blocking definately strenghtens the floor and its weight bearing capacity
I think so too that’s why I put in the extra work
Well dang here I am asking and as the video goes you already answered in the video
Anybody else watching wishing they could be out there helping?
I think a new hammer is in order, a two pounder, save tat taping😉
Noggins mate ... call em what they are ... NOGGINS
23:28 Bridging blocks and I would set my stair stringers on the I-beam...
Your stairs in the middle of the garage on one side???
I would have thought a steel beam should have gone across the basement window
Are you part Mohawk? Cause you seem fearless walking around on those 6” ledges
I only fell twice
@@Wolfpupfabwe need a blooper reel
Hey question what do you do about the rain coming in when it does rain? Are u covering that whole area
I was just coving the subfloor with a tarp to keep water from getting in the basement before the concrete was poured. Now that is poured I’m not to worried about it
Does this guy do windows too. Lol
ummmmm.... why didn't you epoxy those bolts into the concrete??? isn't the whole point of them to hold the frame (and thus the entire house) to the foundation???? I wouldn't think the weight of the building would hold the house down in a big storm, right? I've just never seen them done without being securely attached to the foundation with either epoxy or the bolts secured in the concrete... 🤷♂ you're the pro... I have zero experience... I just hope you didn't forget to do it lol :)
They are concrete wedge anchors. Nice and strong
let's move on faster
