Regarding the Black Saturday fires in 2009, a Royal Commission found cause of fire to be from poorly maintained power infrastructure in Kilmore East (the power company had to fork out gazillions).The winds heading south and east from here, through the Mt.Disappointment State Forest is what also started the Kingkake-Marysville fires. Old mate the arsonist started fires down Latrobe way over the same period, a seperate complex of fires. If only he’d been drainer instead 🤷🏼♂️

@richardweston4493 Yeah, I've indirectly known 3 CFA nutters 🙄 We just call it Eltham Darkie. I haven't videoed it, but I did record a heap of Drain Talks (audio only) there last year when we had a gathering there. I have some photos from the night on my Instagram page as well as some pics from when they were extending it. Cheers and thanks for the support 👍
Yeah, together they make an interesting explore. The top of the second waterfall where they've added a GPT is a bit scary as you kind of have to hold on to the drain. They need to add another rung. It was interesting chatting with Stalker. He goes by a different name now and I didn't realise it was him until he mentioned it.
Good on him for helping out during the bushfires. Emergency services and others surrounding it are the unsung heros of Australia.
