That slow clean interlude back into that massive solo is a masterpiece of writing and showcases just how amazing every member of this band is. Eagle Flies Alone is phenomenal, agreed. If Ron hasn't seen it yet I am 100% onboard with showing it to him.
I noticed that after this song, listeners/fans were divided into two camps: Those who liked the song and they got nostalgia for The Agonist and Alice's clean vocals and those who didn't like this song because they used to listen to Alice with growling and apparently don't know about her past in The Agonist...So this song is actually a perfect symbiosis of both, so I'm looking forward to the release of the album!

How about listening to some Kamelot? My favourites are "Ghost opera" and "Liar, liar". They changed singer and those are one of old and new one. But I don't think they have a bad song so you can choose anything from them :). And their live perfomances are awesome too :).
Definitifly a masterpiece! I love the eye-catcher Alissa with her growl or (beautiful) clean or soft voice. Her stage presence is simply magical and incredible! It is not the 1st time for Arch Enemy. Listen to the song "Reason to Believe" on album WILL TO POWER with clean voice. I think it was a long overdue step, use the full potential of her voice. Btw. who designs her fuckin' outfits? I've heard by herself... And the other guys? Guitars? Bass? Drums? Really perfect and amazing. A lot of ideas that makes me addicted eg. solos, the bridge ... This song blows my mind away!

Honestly I never really listen to her stuff in TA but I new of it and that she did cleans. Was a fan of AE from way back with Angela but didn't really listen to them with Alissa and I think it was mostly because she was not doing any cleans lol. I wanted the cleans because I always like when a new singer brings something new to a band.
i get the surprise, i've never heard Alissa's cleans, though i heard she's done so in other bands, but i think that she stepped it up a couple notches when doing cleans in an AE single, WOO!
I can't recommend enough checking out The Agonist which is Alissas former band. You guys just saw what The Agonist fans allready knew for years. Take a peak at Thank You Pain or Panophobia. If you like theire style you should also try out In Vertigo, Blood as My Guide or Remnants in Time from The Agonist. The new line up is as good or better then with Alissa.
If you want to watch her with her last band The Agonist, check the song Business Suites and Combat Boots Sad she left them but happy on the other side she's with Arc Enemy. Beside some idi... now saying it's Barby Metal. I did love Arc Enemy with Angela and she's still doing the management stuff I think, but Aliza fit's them also in her own style.
if you like her clean vocals you can react an "old" song, when she was in the band "The Agonist". The song is called Panophobia. She was really impressive
Huge fan here too. It's a cool song. Not better than the other two IMO. The chorus is way too weak for me. "and after all is said and done"... I understand it's catnip for Alissa fans. I'm a fan of her but not more so than Arch Enemy and their 27y history. Cleans are ok but they better be hard hitting. The chorus is wayyyy too laid back = not real Arch Enemy. I give this one a 2/3. 😁 Deceiver and House get 3/3. 🔥🔥🔥 The guitar work in this song however, and instruments in general are excellent. I even liked the bridge. A bit too long though, and it could have benefited from a bit of melody behind it.

If you enjoy Arch Enemy, you really can't go wrong with Ravenous with their previous singer Angela Gossow. It's so brutal and so damn good.
