I dress modest, not for religious reasons. but because I think it's prettiest, and I'm more comfortable that way.
Let me clarify the skirt thing. Skirts must be modest, not sexy, long and not tight, that is if you love righteousness.
First of all we shouldn't start parenting when they're adolescent....Start when they're little kids.....

These women sounds very naive and not seem like they have ever observed men looking at women dressed "modestly". They are dressed in a way that will still keep men looking- ie those legsand above the knee skirt. For some reason these women think modesty applies only to below the neck to the waist
Skirts should be on or below knee!
When you sit down, they get you! I have worn things perfect while standing, but inappropriate when sitting!

You talk as though THIS only applies to WOMEN. What about MEN who wear nothing but trunks or speedos? .. . now does this "modesty" business not apply to THEM also? Oh, and my understanding about BIBLICAL MODESTY is that it actually has more to do with OVERDRESSING - like wearing "broided hair, gold, pearls and costly array" ( Timothy 2:9 ).
Men flaunt sex but it depends on culture. In America attraction is all a one way street according to our stupid society. Women need sex also but Christians do not seem to realize it. Women buy men and it depends on the economic situation lots of wealthy women buy men.
Actually men are supposed to be modest too, but for some reason fundie Christians don't think it's needed.
A lot of women have their own money, so it's pointless for men to flaunt money. A lot of women look for attractive men, it's called reality.
In Western society , attraction is only one way, male to female. It's all BS of course, but it's part of this society. You're spot on about one way attraction, that's an awesome way to explain it. I told people from different countries about this, and they think it's plain weird. The US is terribly weird anyway, in so many ways. Also all they talk about is the way women look, what about education, abilities, SHEESH! Rich women can indeed buy men, so true!
Speaking as a man myself, yes modesty is beautiful and dignified regardless of whether you are male or female.
The woman speaking about modesty claims to be Catholic but is a post 1969 or Vatican II Catholic. She does not represent true Catholicism therefore and this can be seen in the way she dresses. Her dress is immodest in that her dress does not fit pre-Vatican II standards. There is a web page called most holy family monsastery which allows one to see the difference. Vatican II Catholics are liberal and do not hold to dogma established at the time of Christ. I hope this makes sense.

Gospel harmonica, the response to your question" should women wear skirts?," is yes ! the bible differentiates between man and woman's garments. Women must look like woman and men like men. Should your wife wear pants? Would you wear a skirt? No because pants make a clear distinction, that tells man and God that you are a man. The devil tells us woman that slacks are OK,but God said it is not. When in doubt always be safe, don't do it... I have come to understand that whatever most people think is OK, usually isn't. I appreciate your opinion, but I rather go with God's opinion, because I do read the bible,for it is my guide.I encourage you to look into the matter and ask our Creator if He agrees with your point of view.. Mos t religions base their believes on opinions of men and not Gold's word. I will just comment on one of your points,if woman would wear skirts of proper lenghts, the peeping Tom with the camera wouldn't have a chance.May the Almighty bless you.
What about the fact that both men and women wore robes back then (essentially dresses)? Also, would you consider high heels to be women’s apparel even though they were originally worn by men and later adopted by women in an effort to appear more masculine?

Modesty is subjective. For instance, in the West showing your midriff is not modest. Whereas in India wearing a saree that shoes your midriff is modest. It what mother Teresa wore throughout her ministry. It's the society that determines modesty not the individual.

Tressa is exposed her leg above the knee and exposing her chest beyong the 2" limit. Both of these are considered immodest on an RUclips video put out by Catholics entitled "The Naked Truth About Modesty." What is modest clothing is so confusing. There are so many different opinions. The Bible does not define it as what should be exposed and what shouldn't be exposed. Also, why are modesty talks always directed to the women?
Thank you Wilbur. I had the same thoughts as you did. Her skirt is far too short and can't even cover her knees and even further up. It made me uncomfortable as a woman . I hope Tressa takes a look at this afterwards . I'm not condemning her , but just reminding her to be careful talking about modesty in the public eye and not checking your own clothes you wearing. We need to be so careful as people from the world is watching !! Tressa has a beautiful inner beauty as a Godly woman she want to model, and that is good and right and proper. Thank you Tressa 🤗

Gospel Harmonica yes, women are not to wear anything that pertains to a man. Jesus told us to be Holy because He is Holy, and without Holiness, we will not see the Kingdom of Heaven

All those modesty.....still can't show face without makeup....
Modesty should be the beauty in and out to shine brighter. Makeup painting and immodesty makes women look like Babylonian (Jezebel) whores. If they love and respect themselves, they would have done better than having makeup painting on their faces, wear jewels or dress hotter that can get men's attention. It is best that women should dress more properly modesty that does not show too much skin. It's better to cover chest, arms and legs. No haircut too short like men. Women should have long hair that cover the back of their neck. No pants, mini-skirts, shorts, and tank tops. This is how a true believer should be. Beauty of the heart that show much of true dignity.
