Preach! Great point about being able to switch up genres, defn need an open partner though, so taking it easy and not being put off by a decline is key too
I’ve considered doing a backlog section for movies I’ve bought but haven’t watched yet. It’s easy to lose track if they’re just blended in with the rest.
Your timing releasing this video is crazy as I literally just got your video notification as preparing a snack after coming out of my home Blockbuster video store (still in progress) which I'm building in my garage and I just spent 35 minutes picking out 5 films I want to see, between already seen but in the mood for or never seen. I go on mood and feel and picked out Knowing by Alex Proyas, starring Nicolas Cage, which I haven't seen yet. I'll pull out my mobile phone and watch the trailer if it's a film I haven't seen and read comments getting reccomendations from comments section. I'll make some videos soon on creating my home Blockbuster video store in my garage if you guys here would like to come checkout. Great video, thanks for the tips.
Thats a cool idea. And i wasn’t actually planning on having the video post when it did, youtube uploaded it early for some reason but im glad you enjoyed it!
I’d add “seasonal viewing”. It might sound obvious, but a month of Christmas movies and a month of Halloween movies takes up 17% of the years viewing! I’ve grown a massive collection of horror and Christmas/Christmas-adjacent movies over the years.
Just found your channel and have been going through all your videos. Really love what you’re doing man. You’re doing something different and more personal than anyone else I’ve seen and it’s refreshing. Keep it up man! 👍

Nice! Ya a backlog stack isn’t a bad way to go

Thank you very much! Glad your enjoying the channel!
Great vids btw
Appreciate it! Thank you!
My son chooses Friday night's movie and if he chooses a horror I choose a different genre for Saturday night's movie
Nice! Always good to switch between genres!
