I love that your commute to work is "rolls out of bed!" Working from home is great but the worst for socializing. Sharing your experience is worth its weight in gold!

To be honest with two small kids, full time job and trying to grow my own small channel, I don't have the time to watch every video from you (or RUclips in general) like in the past, but if something pops up from your Vlog channel I click :)
Great thoughts and ideas I'm curious how things will continue :)
Two thoughts from me listening to you talk in this episode: Using this channel as a how to business channel sounds great, hearing and learning from your experience.
Reminds me of Oliur - he has his main tech channel and his second business channel. But I'm not sure if you utilize it that way, if the fun will dissappear someday, since this channel was always your creative outlet / escape from the work channel.
Regarding the vlogs I found Gene aka Potato Jets Vlogs where he compiled several days into one vlog very interesting to watch, although it was mostly everyday stuff - simply because of his personality. And something like that I personal would also watch from your because of you! :)

Peter, your advice is super valuable! Most people (without experience) think that when you run a business everything is fun and entertaining, soon after they realize is the exact opposite 😄
Your journey is inspiring and you’re definitely showing the ups and especially struggles of running a business, which is valuable.
Looking forward to see what you build next 😎

You don't need to go to school to be knowledgeable in something. Your experience is worth WAY more than what you learn in books, imo. So I can't wait to see the information you'll provide us on the business side of things because you have already given us a tone of great input.

This video reminds me of the Long talk you had with Peter McKinnon in Italy pretty much about the same topic (why having a 2nd channel) - I can't relate cause I am not there yet but I think I can understand why you basically "need" to have this outlet as well sometimes.

I watch all of your videos for you. I’ve watched so much camera content for the last few years, I’m quite bored. I watch for your personal insight. Keep it up! A channel can be idea or relationship driven. I watch for the personal“ity” No need to justify. You’re great!

I've definitely struggled with the tension between making videos for myself and making videos for an "audience". Love the idea of having the main channel for an audience and this channel as your own outlet. Also definitely looking forward to hearing more about your business insights, learning from someone like you who's on the ground doing shit is always going to be more authentic than some cookie-cutter business school can offer.

Cool touching base video, man 🙂 If I may offer some advice, organise a standing, once-a-week lunch or walk or something conisistent with a friend. My friends are mostly too scattered to manage that, but I promise it will help keep you sane. Keep well, and well done on all the hard work 😊

Whenever and whatever you post, it would be good to see. Take care, Peter, and hope you get a well-earned rest. The house and studio are dope; you can see the hard work you put in. Take care."

But, but, but ... I was here for the house building tutorials and garbage throwing videos ...
Jokes aside, I feel most of us are here for the "You" in youtube, so what *you* do is good by us ;)
As for the "I don't know if I have anything to offer" on the business aspects of things, since you didn't go to business school .... dude, you didn't go to photography school either, and look how that turned out ... Business was invented by people doing things, and then people made schools based on that, not the other way around - so looking at what you've built so far it would be mighty interesting to see you potentially growing a "videography tips, tricks and tutorials and gear reviews" channel youtube-business into a business where the *original* business idea is just one of *many* legs carrying the business forward :) Seeing that happen in real life might be the best business school for some people going forward in time :)

I think you underestimate how valuable your knowledge of how you grew and how you stay afloat and really so much other stuff really is. Like for me personally I run a landscaping business. It's very small. It's just me and clients that I like. I cut out all the clients I didn't like couple years ago. Which made me make less money in the short term. But made much happier because I was only working for people I like.. It's funny because I actually make more money now and I only work for people that I also consider to be Maybe not like really good friends. But I consider them to be good people and people that I can enjoy their company. But regardless I'm small time. I'm trying to on youtube and with freelance video editing . Made a little bit with the freelancing. But as far as business goes and that department I have no idea what I'm doing. Also my channel has been all over getting some bangers here and there but my channel varies so much video to video that I think I'm gonna have to start over on another channel. But regardless I think you're knowledge is very helpful. Even if it's just you sitting there chilling and Talking shop. Even if you don't know something gets my juices going gets me to think . Anyway enjoy both channels great stuff. God knows I know what it's like to not be able to make up my mind.... lol .. have a good one!
