    Can't tell you how many "requests" we had for a sponsorship or brand deal which was basically... "make videos with our stuff and say how great we are" and that's it. No offer. Nothing. Then when I ask about it they seem insulted when I wont do it for their offer of a free $5 product or just not doing it for them for free

    Very helpful tips. I mostly get inbound proposals too. My energy always works better when I allow things to come to me vs chasing something. I like that you covered both approaches.

    This video is really insightful! I got a lot out of it. I particularly liked that you brought up who that company was targeting while amplifying your content. I never took that into consideration as I’m trying to establish myself as a marketer for content creators/models.

      Insane how this video only has 4k views. Tons of value in your content. Very much appreciated! Going to check out your courses ASAP. Like right now.

    Yes, Yes, YES to everything in this video! Coming from the brand side of influencer marketing I can confirm that these red flags are valid and need to be addressed. Thanks for being transparent and sharing the creator side of things, because brands need to be continually educated.

      Thanks, Diamond! Glad you enjoyed. Agree. 🙌🏽 Def goes both ways, too! When I worked on the brand side with influencers, some of them were also very bold lolol

    You nailed it with the mental health app and don't care much about your mental health! So true I think doing business with people who care beyond money is so so important!

    How do you feel about allowing the brands to have access to your RUclips back office? Ive had a brand that wants me to link my RUclips account so they can" manually pull my posts and results"

    • @thelatashajames
      @thelatashajames  2 года назад +1

      Eek I personally would never let anyone do that! Some platforms (like Octoly, etc.) do have you link your account so it automatically pulls reports, but if someone is asking for individual access, I personally wouldn't allow it.

      Oh wait just re-read this and saw you did mention linking, not giving access! Yes, I have done this and it's been totally fine. As long as I can confirm that they're a legit business, I'm fine with it!

    If you had more than one type of niche (seller ate social accounts/channels) would you have separate media kits or put it all on one sheet?
    Hope that made sense!

    • @thelatashajames
      @thelatashajames  2 года назад

      I would probably have a media kit with my name and a breakdown of each brand/account that you ran

  • @woltersworld

    You have tons of potential in outbound. You are great at what you do and have domain authority. They would be silly not to want to work with you.
