Even if she had won the trial she’d eventually loose both of her daughters. She loose Kate due to her disease later down the line. Yeah she’d still force Anna to donate but Anna’s not an organ factory. There’d come a point where Anna is unable to donate anymore due to health complications from so many previous donations. And either at that point or once Anna becomes an adult, she’d also loose Anna from the built up resentment from forcing her to donate against her will for so long.

@amywonderland9297 I havent read the book, but I saw that she gets into a car accident, ends up on life support. Then kidney was donated. That's the worst ending. I have always wanted to read the book but I just can't get myself to do it.
No one should ever take an organ from a child without their consent and understanding , it’s so wrong to make that decision for them that will affect their whole life
She’s so obsessed with Kate surviving that 1. She disregards the opinions of her husband 2. She ignores her son who has dyslexia and is struggling 3. She abused Anna by gaslighting and manipulating her from birth into donating to her sister 4. She doesn’t even realize that Kate is ready. She’s done and she just wants to live the rest of her life no matter how short it will be not survive
