Barbie Ferreira is an actress and model who got her start as a model during the "Nodel" era when appearing in the ads of American Apparel. She subverted the normal trajectory of modeling industry, and became one of the faces synonymous with curve models, the industry standard name for what it's often referred to as "plus-size". She's faced campaigns for brands like Levi's, Aerie, American Eagle, Coach, & Bulgari while being on the cover of The Cut, Elle, Allure, and CR Fashion Book. Her mainstream breakthrough came with the HBO Max show "Euphoria" where Ferreira's character "Kat Hernandez" empowered herself through her clothing choices and confidence. Ferreira is always an exciting one to see whether it's on Instagram or the Met Gala's red carpet!

if i ever became famous i’d tell my stylist “i don’t care what you pull you make sure i get praised by hautelemode.”
barbie ferreira's 7 days 7 looks was one of my favorites, she is definitely a fashion girl! also love seeing different amazing brands on someone who is plus sized :) it gave me some outifit inspo too
I love that she is curvy and she is so fashionable but also she dresses for her build. I’m a curvy girl too and I am a firm believer that just because you can get it on doesn’t mean you look good in it. She shows that you can be curvy and stylish.
Lmao I used to wear those crochet bun covers over my hair in my early years of doing ballet; she really took the ballet-core trend literally and we love to see it
That crochet bun thing is suuuper common for ballerinas in brazil. Also, it’s interesting to see some brazilian elements since barbie is of brazilian descent
Way before Euphoria, Barbie was my role model because she was the first plus size model my age I saw that didn't wear bland clothes (no hate to Ashley Graham but her image was very glamorous and feminine), I love how she's always had a playful and interesting way to dress, it's lowkey inspiring.
Omg no the pink bow bag was literally the cherry on top of the outfit. I'm living for the way the pastels play off of each other.
mirror palais are a gorgeous brand!! they blend preppy & summery styles in such a cool way. so glad to see them featured
i love how you described Hanifa as an “American Designer” and not a “Black designer”. neither are wrong, but i did enjoy hearing what you said
I don’t even watch the Vogue 7 days 7 looks videos anymore. I just wait to watch your reacting videos 🙈💓💓
I have beef with Barbie and that is she NEVER tags the outfits she’s wearing. As a plus sized girly I find this criminal with how fire her fits are. 🥵
Barbie's look at
the crochet hair net is a brazilian thing! it’s used by young girls to go to ballet class mostly and is not seen as a fashionable accessory outside of ballet class or service jobs with safety requirement to put your hair in a bun. (maybe now it’s going to)
I love how HauteLeMode caught the shoe change 😂
Yes, I think everyone knows things get swiped from the set, and that's why it continues lol!
The little bun crochet thingy is actually another ballet inspired accessory (Barbie likes to draw from a ballet core style) and its a bun cover! It’s no seen in performances, but we use it in training as an accessory or just simply, because i holds the bun in shape. If your bun isn’t super perfect you could just put over the bun cover your mom crochet for you. I don’t see these as often anymore, but especially kids wear these quite a lot. Crochet bun covers aren’t the only ones, i own a hard plastic one that’s really good if you don’t have much time and there are other fabric ones, but most of the time your hair is shining through. I love seeing things like these resurface as fashion statements in the ballet core trend, because they are just really cute and remind me of my childhood :))))
THE SUPER RESPECTFUL WAY HE SAYS ~versace~
Luke: thank you for being one of the few channels that can be funny and entertaining without taking it too far. I know that probably sounds weird, but I’ve seen so many youtubers get popular over a gag and end up turning it into their entire persona in a desperate attempt to keep people viewing (which tends to have the opposite effect because it can get unbearable to watch). I really enjoy your humor, and it’s refreshing that you don’t try so hard to force it into every inch of every one of your videos - the balance makes your funny/witty comments even more enjoyable.
wow, I love her energy! It made this so entertaining. A lot of the 7 days episodes are just the celebrities listing of the designers/brands of the clothes and it often doesn't really seem believeable that they'd wear the stuff they are presenting. But this? She seems totally into the clothes and has something interesting to tell about all of the outfits.
the melissa had me dying a little. as a brazilian, I always think of them as kid shoes, because that's when I used to wear that, as most people I know. but it's fun to see them
