  • Time attack of Angel Island Act 1 in Sonic Advance, with Tails, in 0:38:20
    This stage can eat my fucking ass. Sonic's was bad enough but it turns out, doing the equivalent for Tails is faster than Tails flying through the speed shoes then breaking back in bounds - and this was somehow WORSE to do than Sonic's - I guess since there's so much more variance to Tails's flight into the orange platform then a single air dash from Sonic.
    0:11 - For whatever reason, doing a tail swipe on top of the loop made it much more consistent for Tails to not randomly spindash off of an invisible ledge and down to his doom after slope glitch. Without this, probably about 90% of his first slope glitch spindashes flung him to his death - I have no idea why, but this made this stage way less miserable (and it already was miserable enough)
    0:16 - Whether Tails gets on the correct slope glitch height or not is basically random.
    0:22 - I also have to decelerate as much as possible, then initiate my spindashes ASAP when Tails stops rolling (which is very inconsistent) to shave off time - too late, I lose time. Too early, I jump and lose slope glitch. Furthermore, after each spindash, he may randomly enter a teetering animation, such that he can't crouch, meaning he can't spindash, and that's an instant restart since spindashing is way faster than running.
