- Officials are stumped after large trash bags have been discovered floating in the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor since October 2021, according to the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR).

Second....can we expect any better?? Hawaii is on a downward spiral heading to be more and more ghetto every year.
Growing up in the 80s Hawaii wasn't nearly as bad as it is now, especially within the last 15 years or so.
Too much development of condos, it will only get worse as resources will deplete.
Maybe we should try voting out these democrats.

@@Critique808 C808 DLNR where looking for illegal takes at the ramp in Puna came up to us sitting in the boat in the parking lot ask if we saw a white boat the boat I was in white and blue he came 2 more times to us till the Kapena when snap at him told him to go look for the white boat it is not us ! Then he wanted to check our box cuz he was butt hurt and on a power trip. So yes they are lazy... God bless you and your family PS this is not criticism it is a fact
I saw that mess floating by last night, and, many other times. I hope they sift through for clues to identify them. I would be happy to help. Pisses me off as a neighbor.

Why you guys act all puzzled. It’s called the Ala Wai swamp for a reason
Why don't they use an excavator to get the trash out of the water? And why volunteers? Doesn't make sense.
You’d have to analyze the trash to narrow it down, unreal
As we get closer to elections we will see all these stories and the "hero" who will need votes.
The garbage is coming down from the mountains. Some one should check cause homeless lives in the mountains .
What legal avenues can be taken by the proper authorities?
Where should these people be placed if prosecuted?
Where after when they're ready to be released?
How far can punishments go before they become abuse?
