A Burnt Chobham Common - 06 May 2019

A Very Burn't Chobham Common - 26 Hectares have been lost at the end of March and on Good Friday in April. Hot Dry Days and windy - Not good for the Ground Nesting Birds either ! - One point worth mentioning is that at the speed it took hold you wouldn't be able to get away on a Mountain Bike. Well Done Chobham Fire Brigade for sorting it out - I was working and saw the fire spreading in March and got smoked out by it a few times gardening in a customers garden nearby !
