I normally get most ABH palettes. I agree with you, the blushes should not have been included in the palette. Those blush colors just don’t work for everyone! Maybe if they had come out with a couple version on the palette with different blushes for different skin tones?

Great review!!! They should have offered it with the option to have either light or deep blush shades. A one and done neutral palette would be great for the upcoming travel season.
They definitely should've but this just shows once again how ABH does not care about inclusivity.

Your comparison swatches are fabulous, this is some next level dedication! I totally wouldn’t have guessed Soft Glam & born this way Natural nudes were SO similar, and Bare Necessities even has the glitter infused mattes ….lol
I’m honestly confused, ABH feels like a different brand since Norvina started calling the shots. I’m confused why they’d release an entire eyeshadow palette with only 2 actual “eyeshadows” …wasn’t the whole Norvina line for pressed pigments? Someone must reallllly love Pressed pigments over at ABh…👀

I love your idea of ABH making little cheek duos to go with this palette. A smart company would hire you to consult them about what customers want.
That saddle shade is super orange. Yeah I agree with you. I'll pick my own blush. I think they're just trying to add in a few tricks thinking it will help it sell, but not really a good idea.
Agree about them putting out various cheek palettes instead as part of the collection! Maybe you can use those matte blushes as eyeshadows then?

If this went way on sale, I'd consider getting it - the quality and shades are right up my alley. (The only redeeming quality I can think of for the blushes is that I could probably use the baby pink on as a blending/transition shade?? 🤷🏻♀️)
I was in Ulta the other day and saw this palette and it's so pretty. I am so glad that I watched this video. I'll likely go for the CP bare necessities palette. I mean the colors are basically the same. Now, I wonder if the CP shimmer shades would perform as well as the ABH shimmer shades that you used. The eye look that you created is SO pretty! I agree about the blush colors. Very few people can pull off such a warm almost orange blush color. I would have put a rose gold blush shade and maybe a plum shade (something more universal).
I don’t have the Bare Necessities, two faced Nudes or the ABH Soft Glam Palette , so the Primrose does give my collection more Variety. It cost me $72 Canadian. Good time to redeem some points! I don’t have an orangey brown cheek colour so I look at it as a bonus. The cheek colours echoes that Romantic Rustic vibe and it balances by adding a medium woody brown that I will use on my lids, too. I think because of it’s warm neutral colour story I will we drawn to it for day looks this fall. Yes, the duo chromes shades are very nice indeed. Thanks for doing the comparisons because I had no idea how similar those other palettes were, which I won’t be purchasing.
Thanks for the great video! I agree about the blushes. It might have been better if the blush colors were more cohesive with the eyeshadow colors.
Thanks for your review, swatches and comparisions. I keep going back and fourth on this palette of wanting to get it or not. I thought it looked very close to Soft Glam, and since that purple primrose color has glitter in it, I'm thinking I can skip this.
It was a hard pass when I saw, including the cheek colors, 9 out of 12 colors have the eye warnings. That would only leave 2 useable eye colors. Was glad to see the color story was pretty similar to things I already have.
So pretty! Mine came broken from Ulta yesterday (happening a lot lately, unfortunately!) but can't wait to get my replacement.
I have had two palettes arrive broken ftom Ulta in the past four months…and then the replacement palette for one also arrived broken! They don’t seem to use boxes anymore just bubble mailers. Ugh!

I love this color story and I LOVE that pink grapefruit blush! I'm not that excited for saddle though. I think I'll just use my Bare Necessities. Thank you for comparing those! Now I can save some money! XOXO Heidi

Thank you for your comparisons! I don’t have any ABH palettes and have been eyeing this. The bronzer does look a bit orange for me. I might look to dupe it from my collection. And I just recently picked up the Too Faced Natural Nudes. I think I’ll pass.

I'm thinking this palette matches beautifully with the style of face palette they released this summer. It's coherent, I feel like.

I got this palette it’s absolutely gorgeous! The blushes are pretty and I think there’s one for light/medium tones and one for darker tones and you can tone down the orange one using it very softly so I think they did a wonderful job!
There isn't one for darker skin tones.
Thanks for another useful video Amanda. You save me so much money because you let me know what I don't need to buy. I hear primrose and I expect lots of pretty shades of pink. I don't understand calling yet another neutral palette "primrose.". The purple shade and peony speak to me. But the rest I have many many shades just like it. This is just soft glam with a blush I don't need.
Maybe Colourpop will put out a very colorful primrose palette now.

Thank you for the video & comparisons. I'm into it because I don't have Soft Glam or Bare Necessities. The color story speaks to me. I'll pick it up. Being very fair I don't love cheek colors in eyeshadow palettes either.

Agree I wasn’t a fan of the two blushes in the pallet but I’ve used them and I’ve also used them on my eyes But since I was able to get it for $15 off and I tend to collect a BH pallets I was like whatever I’ll grab it
I mean the shadows are beautiful but I have so many similar shades. I also don't like eye and face products in the same palette so it is a skip for me.

Looks nice. I have the soft glam and modern Renaissance. They also look similar. A NEW mini version of soft glam is out for 29 dollars. Seems like a better deal.
thank you for a helpful video. I think I will use the light rouge as eyeshadow. The lightest one ALWAYS ends long before the others as I use it as a base.
I have been debating whether to buy or not this palette but I won’t now because I do have the CP Bare Necessities and the swatches are very similar. Thank you for the video. And I am buying that lip color you have on. It’s beautiful. 💖
It's pretty "shady" how some of these companies put the same shades in several pallettes and try to pass them off as new.

Oh I have earrings almost the same as yours. Mine are silver and blue though. I feel the same as you about the palette. It’s pretty, it’s been done before and I hate face products in eyeshadow palettes.
I was a little curious about this palette. So thankful you compared it to the two-faced palette, because I picked that up on the Ulta sale for my daughters and myself for Christmas.
I loved the palette as well. I do wish that they maybe made the transition shades like bigger rather than blush. I also think I would have loved a black again in their palette because their noir shade is so so good. I still love this one but the blushes may not work for everyone.
I'm weirdly attracted to this but the price 😬😬😬 i wonder if they gonna come out with a cool tone version in the future

I love this palette and how it looks I just wish someone throws in a black with these shadows. I love darkening up the edges with black since I dont wear eyeliner anymore. My eyes are hooded and are getting worse with age and I have entirely given up on eyeliners now.
i have to agree that i’m not too keen on these blushes being in the palette. this palette is pretty but i finally got to purchase the natural nudes palette in the ulta sale and i’m super happy with it and it’s close enough to this. i loveeee your earrings!!! i tried to get them but they sold out on me. 😔

While though I absolutely love your eyeshadow look, I don't love the ABH palettes for the reasons you expressed..I only purchased the one, the Norvina which put me off from ever going near another one..For me the shadows were like applying water colors..They were too cool toned for this warm tone girl.. but I would though be interested in a quad with just the shades you applied..

Thank you for the swatches, they showed clearly that a lot of people have those colors already. I don't get the point of ABH palettes at all. Most of them are just boring and duping themselves. I like the norvina range from ABH but hardly any of the small palettes. And I had no good experience with the glam palette. The colors just faded away after a few hours.

As a WOC, the "blushes" fall so short 😐. Andrea Renee (shade twin) has a review on her channel; the eye look was great, but the rest is a pass.

I really like the color story, but I wouldn’t pay 60 bucks for this. Don’t think anyone asked for a matte glitter shadow and two blushes.

I don't like the formula of ABH palettes, I've got one and never use it. Not gonna grab this one.
This can be duplicated by so many other palettes that it’s just not worth buying in my opinion.
