I think they're a relatively cheap little way to display & protect books... I couldn't think of any other term to describe them and I was kinda like "Well it's like a fake slab I guess" so I just went with it lol. Thanks again for watching!
Why the hell hasn't anyone made actual "fake" slabs that mimic the CGC ones? Seems like there would be some random person/company on AliExpress selling the same thing. My issue now is that I have a ton of CGC slabs in my complete X-Men run, but I want to have everything together in order. Some of the issues I have aren't worth grading, so it's frustrating. The OCD in me wants to have them all in the same holders whether they're graded or not. Why hasn't someone made that yet?
I've been looking for 5 hrs. Can't find a cheap option. The company that sold them for 6 dollars is out of business
Why "fake slab" 😅😅 its just a perfect way to protect your comic, while you can still read, or just pull it out if you want
I guess 'fake slab' because it's not really slabbed or graded but you can still display them if you want or even open them up and change out the books... I dunno it's kinda catchy too I guess haha
I'm of the view CGC and all those are just a scam anyways. that whole secondary market is bizarre to me
This was very helpful, I wanted to get those hard plastic display case that you showed. I need them to put into these rare comics that I have to protect it. Even though it's a little pricey, it will be worth it.

This is actually more in price then grade and slab w/ shipping.
Grading itself is just fluffery and then a plastic case. People living by the numbers need to reevaluate why they collect comics. Or watch the video about how Video game grading is a scam. Same players at the top milking crash from vulnerable collectors. When the bottom falls out [AGAIN] some people are going to regret why they collect.

I got those. Pretty nice. Just the only problem is that when I remove the plastic tape on the back of the preservers, there is nothing that's left as sticky material to seal the bag. So when I remove the tape, there is nothing to seal the bag. So I just leave it loose.

Unfortunately no they won't fit, 'Ultra Pro Comic Preservers' are the only thing that fits they come in a 10 pack and have a green outline on the label. I'm in Newcastle!
Fucken Australia...these One Touch Ultra Pro holders are $16.00 on Amazon in USA...paying double over there as usual.
Unfortunately it is what it is dude, everything is more expensive here... If it isn't the government will quickly find a tax to slap on it

How has this set up treated yaa one year later? Just ordered one with the preservers and still a little worried putting my $700 comic in it.
They've held up fine, I've got a few of my keys in some of them & a few on display with some cover art I love. There still sitting in there as I left them
@@thecomicbooknewb3932 do you think they would bust open from the magnets holding it shut if a California earthquake (or crazy cat) were to shake it off a wall from five feet of impact to a wooden floor? Part of me wants to add a little tape to the top... 🤔
Finally found Another Aussie youtuber that does comic books were did you get the slabs from been looking for them mystery
I've bought half a dozen from eBay just search "one touch pro comic" and it should be the first thing that appears, also don't forget the "ultra pro comic preservers" and your comics will will fit in sweet

Also do they make them for thicker books? Because I have a hard back marvel zombies book that I'd love to display.
As far as I know they only do this size or at least it's the only size I've came across

Can you fit TPB books in it. For example Marvel's Civil War? It's about 1/4 inch thick
You might be able to fit a TPB in one of the sleeves (comic preservers) but not in the magentic hardcase unfortunately... It would be too thick to close properly
