Since I am retired and my daughter works full time, I make enough for us and share the rest with her and her family. My Mother-in-law did that for us when I-was working.

I will be trying that stool idea tomorrow night when I cook dinner. I will let you know how it works. I stopped doing anything at Christmas. Long sad story. What I will share is that between me, my older sister, and my mom, we were quite the cooks. I never learned how to really cook meals until recently, but I was quite the baker, so my older sister is the cook, I am the baker (I bake better than I cook), and my mom learned how to make candies. Mom is now gone, but I can make some candies, but my sister has me make the desserts and she does the rest. It's much better this way. I have some new recipes to try and see if my sister and her kids like what I can bake now. God bless you.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom but I’m sure you learned a lot from her! I hope this season is joyful for you and your family!

Thank you. I appreciate that. And for the idea with the stool.... I tried it last night when I made lasagna soup. Mind you, I am partially disabled, so I can only stand just barely a couple of minutes, but it HELPED!!! It helped when I chopped up the meat and stirred everything together. I will continue to cook this way. So, you may want to try it, too, to see if it works for you. I am keeping my stool in front of my stove so I don't forget to put it there. 🤣❤@@FeedingtheByrds

Instead of cooking a full dinner, everyone brings their favorite finger foods. Lots of candies, cookies, savory snacks, crackers and cheese balls, nut mixes and much more.

I really appreciate you making the half recipes. I live on my own and make the treats for family mostly. The half size recipe means I can make more varieties to make up some nice cookie trays. And there won’t be lots of cookies around to tempt me.

That's what we do when we make half sizes too. I always make a tray out of it.

I have just recently discovered your channel and I am a big fan! From watching your other videos, I feel like we have so many things in common in our cooking. Like I rarely measure my seasonings, I prefer almond extract over vanilla in many recipes, I always use salted butter, I always use extra garlic and oregano, and I never make the same thing the same way twice. And I love Jesus. But one major difference is we ALWAYS use onion and the more the better. 😊 My husband and I celebrated 45 years of marriage last month and we have 9 children, 8 of which are married and they have blessed us with 16 grandchildren and another coming in March. So your freezer meals and dump and go crockpot recipes are going to be a life saver for me when everyone is home for Christmas. Thank you for putting in all the work for me to make this easier for feeding so many and by doing all the work ahead of time I will get to be with my family more and not be so exhausted from all the cooking and cleanup. Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family!

For the maple snickerdoodle, try rolling them in maple sugar instead of regular sugar!

They all look delicious! Snickerdoodles are my all time favorite cookie, and I made those snowballs recently & loved them. What I do with my chocolate chip cookies is make the full recipe, and scoop half to bake & the other half I flash freeze and put in the freezer for later. I just write on the ziplock time and temp, and you can cook just a couple at a time.

I usually make around 300 cookies for Christmas. My kids give them to teachers and friends, my hubby takes a ton of them to work and of course eat them. I love all the cookies. I just found your channel and submitted. Can’t wait to see what else you do.

The brown sugar pecan cookies could easily be made with walnuts, slivered almonds, hazelnuts or pistachios.

I've been collecting all the desserts, cookies and such. Also diabetic desserts too. I've got two Christmas parties to go too. So cooking this week for a party with my old friends this Saturday. Then cooking more the week of Christmas to take large platter of treats to take to our family Christmas. Snowball Cookies is one of the cookies I'm making. We roll our into balls then after cooking we roll them in the powdered sugar. Thanks for all these holiday desserts and love you to keep posting them. I always use salted butter too. I also am going to make those pecan cookies too. Oh, also give these treats as gifts to family & friends also.

We very rarely eat cookies or sweet things, we often don't eat dessert either lol. We have Snowballs in Scotland, similar to the snowball cookies you just made, we take the 2 halves join together with jam, put icing on all over and roll them in dessicated coconut, you could do that with your cookies, coconut instead of powdered sugar. I watch all of your videos regardless of what you're making. xxx

We make treats for get togethers with friends and family, to give as gifts, and just to enjoy. Instead of making half recipes make the whole one and just freeze what you don't want to bake for later use. Then you just pull out the amount you want and bake them from frozen. Have you tried cream cheese snickerdoodles? They are fantastic!
