Jerry Seinfeld was considered a "club comedian" for an incredibly long time. I think by the time the 90s approached guys like Seinfeld and Bill Maher weren't sure if they were ever going to be more than elite versions of that, like Brian Regan.

basically blew off paul Harvey, for bad jokes and another bad comedian!?
Philbin or Larry king, would have gotten most of the show,
1 because dave likes them personally.
And2, Dave doesn't have to do anything! They dont wait for questions! Next time, when either are on, youve seen... just haven't noticed!
