What if extraterrestrial visits influenced and shaped ancient civilizations?

Sometimes I think this was/is a Messianic age in the past. 6000 years of development, people try to build the tower of babylon = use technology to play god. so god knocks it all down in some sort of doomsday. i get really paranoid about it sometimes. but I have paranoid schizophrenia so :P I get worried about life and death things alot sometimes from it.
