All the people in the Mr Ambiguous video are well known korean celebrities. Baek Z Young, the lady who was being really harsh as a prank is a very well respected singer which is why they were so shook up about it
So true! When I first watched a Mamamoo video, I thought Wheein had such a smaller voice compared to the others, but as I watched more vids and saw the immortal medley, i mean...Wheein's vocals are so insanely good
I forgot where I read it, but in Windflower, each member is supposed to represent a stage of a breakup. If I remember correctly, it's something like Moonbyul is the denial stage, Wheein is the sad stage, Solar is the angry stage, and Hwasa is the getting over it stage. :)
Mamamoo have amazing b-sides too. Mamamoo - My star (concert stage) is something that any new moomoo needs to see.. Mamamoo is in US next month. If you have a chance to go. Don't miss it.. Their concerts are an whole other level
The lady in the Mr. Ambiguous video is a highly respected senior singer, she was roasting them, pointing out all the flaws in their performance as a prank. But after she was super nice, she basically said "I'm not really an asshole, you're great!"
Since you are going to their concert. You will have to check out their solo stuff as well, or you will be missing out BIG TIME. Moonbyul: "Eclipse" and "Lunatic" Solar: "Spit it out" and "Honey" Wheein: "Watercolor" and "Make me happy" Hwasa: "Twit" and "Maria"
My suggestion for a guide is Moo YT'S A Guide to Mamamoo. It's the most updated compared to the other one from Purple Hawke that most Moomoos will suggest. It comes in 2 parts. Part 1 focuses on the members themselves. Part 2 focuses on the group as a whole. It's definitely worth a watch! Thank you for taking the time to get to know our vocal Queens.
Purple Hawk pulled all their content off of YT. They explained why in a post that they've linked in the About section of their YT channel. Essentially they were getting lots of negative messages because of the Guide they made. It's pretty disappointing. As I though Purple Hawk and Moo YT's guides were pretty complementary. And my impression of MooMoo's is they are generally very nice.
Mr Ambiguous: Yes, the mustache move they do when they introduce themselves originated with Mr Ambiguous. The credits during the MV are all fake. The people mentioned as director, producer, etc are all celebrities making cameo appearances in MMM's debut MV as a favor to their boss Kim Dohoon. KDH is a famous kpop songwriter who's written dozens of hit songs for many artists over the years. For example he co-wrote Blood Sweat & Tears by BTS. KDH is the co-CEO of MMM's label Rainbowbridge World (RBW) and he's the one who assembled Mamamoo from the scrap heap of audition rejects and retreads from other companies. We see four gorgeous and uber talented, can't miss superstars but before signing with RBW Solar had failed about 50 auditions because she was thought to be too old, Hwasa was flat out told she was fat and ugly and sent packing, and Moonbyul & Wheein only signed with RBW after failing to debut with another company. At a pre-debut industry showcase everyone told RBW that Mamamoo would fail miserably and that they were crazy to debut them as the first group under their tiny startup agency. RBW had little money, a small staff and few resources to support and promote their new group so KDH called in favors from old friends to make cameo appearances in an effort to draw attention to MMM. The MV was conceived as a behind the scenes "making of" video for the cameos and to set up the prank where famous singer Baek Z Young was ostensibly called in to provide tips and feedback to the girls but instead made them cry with her harsh criticism. Imo it was a cruel thing to do considering the pressure on Mamamoo to do well but on the other hand who does that, esp in their debut MV? It's the first of many only-Mamamoo moments. I took notes about the other songs as well but if I answered all your questions and provided more info about your excellent comments we'd be here all day. I'll just say that Dingga was intended to cheer us up while we were socially distant during the pandemic, Wheein's voice is usually described as honey, and that was a jaguar in Egotistic. Oh, and Solar wasn't originally supposed to use the pole but Solar being Solar she scrambled to get a 1 hour pole dance lesson the day before the MV shoot and liked it so much she kept it up. Her doctor approved as a way to improve her core strength and help counteract the effects of a car accident that injured her back. She went on to incorporate pole dancing in live performances and she uploaded a gorgeous double pole dance set to her self-composed solo song Hello on her yt channel Solarsido. Finally I should mention that there's more going on in MMM videos than meets the eye on first view. For example, Egotistic, Wind Flower and Gogobebe are title tracks 2, 3 & 4 in Mamamoo's landmark four album series 4 Season 4 Color, which is the most complex, ambitious project ever done by a girl group. I'll spare you an essay on 4S4C but when you get around to it it's worth rewatching the MVs to see how they fit into the 4S4C concepts and cyclical symbolism. There's more to Gogobebe than fun & games, Solar and Hwasa weren't being sexy as hell in Egotistic just cuz they can and Hwasa's jaguar and Wheein's car aren't random or just there for looks. You might want to check out the 4 Season 4 Color theme song Paint Me, which introduces all the major concepts and symbolism used throughout the project. The 1st title track in the series is called Starry Night. The best guides are the two-parters by Purple Hawke and Moo YT. Purple Hawke's is the gold standard but Moo YT's is more recent and up to date.
kudgeon d, your knowledge and passion for Mamamoo still amazes me. You certainly are the valedictorian for Mamamoo. Some day I hope to learn about the Jaguar and car 🤔
@@robertthomas2312 Thanks but other than things that are obviously just my opinion most of the info I pass on is just regurgitated stuff I learned from other, wiser moomoos. I have no prob explaining some of my theories about Egotistic but I had already blabbed on long enuf. In all the 4S4C title track MVs the members express their personal take on the song's color and emotion/relationship stage. Here's my summary of how each member portrays Red and Passion in Egotistic: Solar: sexy, provocative, liberated (come hither looks into the camera, sexy outfits, flies on the pole) Moonbyul: strong, confident, independent (tosses chair, speaks down to him from the balcony) Hwasa: wild, fierce, uninhibited (bathtub, jaguar) Wheein: badass bitch on wheels, a hot head who wants to burn his butt and dance in the flames (temp tattoos, lowrider car, fire starter) They can also be seen as representing four progressive stages of leaving a jerk: Anger (Moonbyul), Defiance (Hwasa), Revenge (Wheein) and Liberation (Solar). You're welcome to come up with your own interpretation of their characters in the MV but I think that's the basic idea. 😀
The ice cream in Where Are We Now is kind of a nod to Wind Flower. WAWN was a song that sort of paid homage and looked back on the years they've been together.
Hi Lex! I'm here for some trivia on all the songs you listened to. Here goes: Mr Ambigous - The mv features a lot of well-known artists-- from writers, composers, producers, and singers. It is to show that Mamamoo is different from other kpop groups because they are "created by" and acknowledged by artists. In Korea, there is a big distinction between kpop idols and artists. Mamamoo is marketed as idols but with skills like artists (self-composing, vocally-driven group, unlike idols with complicated dance routines who often lip sync on stage). Mamamoo ALWAYS sings live. Gogobebe - Mamamoo debuted in 2014 and they've always done their own choreography. Gogobebe is released in 2019 and is the very first time they actually hired a professional choreographer. A lot of haters are saying they can only sing live because they don't dance as much.... and mmm took it personally. This is the start of Mamamoo's dance machine era. After this, they started with other famous choreographers, not only in group but also for their solo music. Each member has a specific go-to choreographer since their solo songs, like their vocal styles, are so different. Also, since you mention moonbyul's low tone, did you know that if you use an app and move her pitch higher, she sounds EXACTLY like wheein, and vice versa. It's so creepy and fascinating at the same time. Windflower was shot in hongkong where mamamoo pays homage to Wong Kar-wai's movies by recreating some epic scenes from his movies. This song is Hwasa's personal favorite, next to Destiny. You'll be surprised by how different hwasa is on and off stage. She's a fierce woman when working, but backstage, she turns into a sweet, fragile, gentle baby who just wants cuddles. You'll see when you get to the guides. Dingga was released in the middle of the pandemic. Mamamoo has insane stage presence. They make every performance look like one big party with the audience. So the pandemic really took a toll on them when all their performances were done without an audience, BUT it did not stop them from making music. If you notice the lyrics of the song, it is that desire for the lockdown to be over. Egotistic showcased one of the best mamamoo vocals (same with Decalcomanie & Piano Man) because it especially highlights their powerful vocals and harmonies while dancing, so I hope you check out the live stages for this. so good! BIAS - my mbti is also the same with solar but my bias is wheein because I see so much of myself in her. I'm wrecked by the other 3 anytime they damn please. i just love them all.
Wow, you did a great job of explaining each song - your comment deserves to have way more thumbs up. Thank you for taking the time to write this so that Alexa & everyone can have more context; it's appreciated.
One more big difference between Moomoos (Mamamoo's fandom) and other fandoms is that you are under NO obligation to "pick a bias" the way others do. Don't feel it is a requirement. If it happens, fine, but you MAY find, as you learn more about their individual charms and solo projects, that every one of them bias wrecks you at some point and you just...can't...pick...between them! MooMoos understand that struggle, and stanning them all is a viable option. Welcome to the Radish Field!
mma 2016 and mama performances are their award performances also their concert's immortal medley are really best to review their talent and skills and vibe too!!
If you're gonna do a guide I think most would agree Introducing Mamamoo is one of the best made. For songs I'm a big fan of Decalcomanie, Um Oh Ah Yeah, HIP and Paint Me
Super random fun fact 14:39 the nerdy girl with the book leading the reading club is in fact AleXa, an absolutely amazing Kpop artist (from Tulsa Oklahoma of all places lol)
How can you not? They're like four neon lights in a world of nightlights. Wheein is the only one who could fly under the radar (to mix metaphors), but as soon as she opens her mouth, you know she's something special.
I was late getting here but will go back and catch the beginning. 💚 Mamamoo are very much confident, empowered women. While they can do the cutesy stuff, you can still tell they are women and not trying to be little girls.. There are some curves they aren’t ashamed of. The group as a whole does not fit the K-Pop industry standard of what a gg should look like. Thank you Mamamoo! Hwasa is not afraid to be herself. She received a lot of crap when they started out. I’m so proud she stood her ground and showed everyone her amazing talent and personality. Her smokey voice is so beautiful. They are each unique and though you can immediately recognize their voices, their songs don’t sound all the same. Love this group so much!!
I agree with most of your points but the way you phrase some things seem very rooted in misogyny.. Feel like MMM themselves would frown at shading other girl groups the way comments like this do (no girl group in kpop is "trying to be little girls" wtf?)
This is just my opinion on Moonbyul's voice while she rap. If we look into kpop rapper most of them (not all)will use a more nassally voice to differentiate between singing and rap. While Moonbyul she just use her natural voice without sounding too nasally ( you should listen to her smooth switching between rap and singing in her solo stuff). You can listen to her singing more nowadays ( back then the chance is scarce) . Even without looking you can immediately tell that's her. She was in a competition called 'Second World' where gg rapper sings (she won yeay!), when the blind hearing, most of the other contestants and fans can tell that's her. I fell in love with her voice way back in 2015 and still in love with her even now.
I like 'yes i am' and 'you are the best' a lot. But the song '1cm taller than you' is a really funny song from them. They are making fun of each others height. Thank you for your great Mamamoo reactions 👸
As a vocalist first, Moonbyul is able to give a melodic style of rap that's uniquely her own... and yes... Solar came for our throats in Egotistic era.
They're coming to the US. Check their sched for 9 cities. Maybe you'd like to check them out. 😁 You won't regret it though. Casual fans and listeners go to their concerts for their stage presence and live vocals, too.
Great reaction and I’m so excited for your next mamamoo reaction, and speaking of the girls ages like your not wrong when you say that they are almost the age as you, like the oldest is Solar is 32 years old( February 21, 1991, Moonbyul is 30 years old( December 22, 1992), Wheein is 28 years old( April 17, 1995, and the youngest Hwasa is 27 years old( July 23, 1995) but yet they all look they’re still in their mid twenties
Go to the Chicago show! I'm flying in, solo, because I'm afraid to let the opportunity pass by...just in case it's the last, you never know. But also how could it be anything but amazing?
Mr Ambiguous, like most debut songs, was trying to establish the "theme" of Mamamoo was the company wanted to market them as and the genre they wanted to pursue with them. The MV, like most debuts, was meant to show off the girls but also build a bit of report/clout and a good way to do that is show the viewer all these respected artists backing them that the potential fans could see and say "oh damn of XX supports them they must be special"
If you want more of solar's rapping watch honey it is amazing, you could also watch their others solo like lunatic watercolor makemehappy maria and im a b
best guides 1/ members: introduction to mamamoo by purple hawke Pt. 1 moonbyul/solar +pt#2 hwasa/wheein 2/ introduction mamamoo 2022 by MOO YT Pt#2 GROUP ...this is best combination from fandom
Can you do like a reaction marathon to their solos and especially! Their solo exchange stage on MyCon concert 😍 you can also choose to watch after attending the concert for surprise - i swear u'll get GOOSEBUMPS 🤤💕
Wheein had just turned 20 when Mr. Ambiguous was released, Hwasa was still 19. Solar has reported herself as both INFJ and INTJ. As an INTJ myself, she's not. She is INFJ, and her INTJ sister thinks so, too. It always surprises me that no one screams about the MoonSun moment in Windflower. I don't scream, but I nearly did watching Windflower the first time. Definitely on the powerful women vibe... many of their songs are on the same topic, like You're the Best, Hip, and Wanna Be Myself. I'll recommend the MNET Asian Music Awards (MAMA) performances for 2020, 2019, and 2018. I recommend watching them in that order for maximum jaw-dropping impact. It's hard to find a complete version of the 2018 performance. If I find it, I'll come back and post the link.
I will eventually for sure!! Right now I am trying to hit most of their main hits and things so that I can go to the concert and know what’s going on!! But after that i will def dive deeper in!
@@LexListens I'm happy for YOU! I can't make it. I'm waiting for European tour. I'm not sure if they'll do it, though... However, the backstory behind them being perfect (or almost) at performing is kind of sad. Their CEO told them that they DON'T have good looks so they can only rely on their vocals. That's why they work real hard at it. I'm happy they got more and more confident over the years. I LOVE all OF them.
Yes, mamamoo is a group of empowered WOMEN. If you check out their Introduction Guide, you'll know that they are all fighting for what they believe in.
23:12 I rewatched this more times than I should lmao So great to watch your Mamamoo journey 💜 About the ice cream again, actually WAW has references to other mvs so the ice cream scene in the end there was a reference to this one 😊
Fun note: In Gogobebe the girl with glasses reading to the book club is Alexa. Winner of the first American Song Contest (America's attempt to copy Eurovision). :) Also, looks like your cat is trying to dance with you at 28:23.
There are lots of messages in their songs. There is a Mr. Em Em oh (Mr. AMBIGUOUS) Video out there with english captions. Dinga was leading to Aya. For guides there are 2 great guides. PURPLE HAWKE and MooYT guides. Purple hawke inspired MooYT. MooYT is also more current (2022) where Purple Hawkes is like 2019. Both are 2 parts. MooYT's second part is a group guide . Purple Hawke just has a long member guide so part 1 is Solar and Moonbyul and part 2 is Wheein and Hwasa. Purple hawke wanted to do a 3rd part for the group but never got around to finish it. Also the MooYT part 2 group guide might answer a lot of the questions and thoughts you've had about their music... well i think it will. The group went thru a lot. Its worth it to watch the group guide. I enjoy your reactions. Thanks for it.
I laughed at everytime you lost it to Solar. Seems to me you've found your bias... at least for now. Most people as they get to know them better cant decide and just stan the 4.
As may have been mentioned before, you have a namesake in the kpop world, AleXa, who has a predebut cameo in Gogobebe, as both the study group leader in stripes and in the background on the stairs when Wheein in on the merry-go-round. AleXa debuted in 2019 with "Bomb". Following tracks "Do or Die" and "Revolution" directly follows her AI concept storyline. Not everything has been revealed, so some confusion is possible, but watching them in order minimizes this. AleXa has maintained her friendship with Mamamoo, having done a dance cover of Moonbyul (the rapper)'s Eclipse -- Byulie photobombed the video shoot! -- and collaborated on AleXa's later ballad "Star". After AleXa's "trilogy" you can watch the rest of her MV's in almost any order. Most have some tie-in (even if indirect) to her AI concept.
My question is can you really pick a bias 😏. Lol, i took a very long time but at the end i did went for Solar because i enjoyed the power vocals more. I love moonbyul deep voice, wheein honey vocals and hwasa jazzy raspy vocals but the power of solars voice just took me in. Then later you will find out that they are all-rounders and they can all sing, rap, dance, etc . I do enjoy your reactions because your fair with all 4, as in you always mention the 4 of them. Some other reactors ive seen only always mention just one and it feels like they dont even pay attention to the others, understandable maybe 1 or 2 videos but technically all just no. I cant wait for when you react to piano man, thats my favorite out of all their songs. Also believe it or not hwasa is actually the most calm ,down to earth out of the 4. I believe its a tie with the crazy title with the other 3 lol, or was it Solar who is first 🤔, idk you will find out who is the most lol.
@@LexListensPlease respond to Cupid, a song by the K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty. The song is currently peaking at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100. Among K-pop groups, they entered the Billboard charts faster than New Jeans and are becoming a hot topic every day. As a group representing the 4th gen, it is the group with the highest possibility of becoming a group that connects Blackpink and BTS, so please pay attention. If you couldn’t withstand Solar’s pole dance here, then don’t watch either her duo pole dance to Hello on her Solarsido RUclips channel or the video of her solo stage during 4 Seasons concert (Despacito).. you will not survive!
My mbti is the same as Solar toooooo! 😅 It's so rare to find someone that has the same one kkkk bMy horoscope is the same as hers too 😅 we have a lot in common but my bias is Hwasa, she is like my alter ego. She inspires me so much and we have the same age ❤
Ohhh i'm loving all of this mamamoo content!!! Maybe do a solo's marathon each of them has a bunch of mv's to choose from, it'll give you a taste of their personal style!
for the guide idk if you chose one already but this one (in 2 parts) is very good and recent-ish (1 year old) m.ruclips.net/video/c5VpPrwjziM/видео.html&pp=ygUNbWFtYW1vbyBndWlkZQ%3D%3D (part 1 members) and m.ruclips.net/video/UYRzCrh4avs/видео.html (part 2 group)
Rewatching... Mr. Ambiguous... Solar is 23, Moonbyul 21, Wheein 19 & Hwasa 19(just the actual baby LoL) Love the earlier Jazz/R&B songs. They did mess with them, it was real... Everyone in the M/V are people RBW's CEO knew... He called in favours to have them in the M/V The Prank played on them... their Faces are priceless. What makes it so funny is that Baek Jiyoung IS a well know Singer and Actress in South Korea, and the members didn't reconize her. Solar was taking it the hardest, being the leader. In fact “Mr. Ambiguous” features, many musicians, and some of K-Pop’s hottest stars(at the time)... including Wheesung, K.Will, Rhymer, Bumkey, Jung Joon Young, and CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun.
I think alot of Hwasa's confidence comes from that she got alot of hate from knetizens, because she doesn't have the preferred kpop body type. She also got hate for the type of clothes she wore. Like one time while going through the airport, she had a bra on, over her shirt and they gave her hate for it, so the next time through the airport, she just wore a tshirt, with no bra at all. I feel her confidence comes from that she does, acts & dresses the way she wants, despite what haters say. Also a fun show to watch is Jessi's Showterview. She had Hwasa on there and her & Jessi are like sisters together. Jessi also had Solar on the show too. The shows are really funny though.
You should watch Manamoo on Immortal Songs. To me their MV's are great, but they are so much better live. I Miss You and Backwoods are two of my favs by them on Immortal Songs, but all their songs on their are excellent. Edit: I made a mistake, I Miss You is on Queendom, not Immortal Songs.
Wonder if you would do albums instead of mv marathons. All their songs are very good and this way you can watch mvs mixed with lyric videos where there is no mv. Mamamoo has a lot to discover. Look forward to your moonbyul marathon, solar marathon, wheein marathon, hwasa marathon after all your mamamoo marathons. You could even follow up with a mamamoo+ marathon where there are about 6 songs featuring that pair. Followed by a cv marathon where you discover the awesome songs they did for various products.
DreamCatcher's Main Rapper, Dami, also has a deep tone while she raps but she can actually hit higher notes than their Main Vocalist, Siyeon. Well, two out of the three rappers in the group can go higher than Siyeon but really SuA is a very special case. When SuA laughs, she will hit Dolphin-calling notes completely by accident. Her laugh is easily recognizable anywhere, absolutely iconic for her unique tone and rhythm.
I love that you’re diving into kind of “smaller groups” too! i recommend you their song decalcomanie, it’s my favorite mamamoo song! I also recommend you another group, ateez, they’re a boy group :)
It would be amazing if you could react to the "Introducing mamamoo" members guide by purple hawke. It's not the most updated guide but it is the more entertaining one. It's perfect for reactions. As for some more songs to react to: Um Oh Ah Yeah, Decalcomanie, 1cm, Starry Night, Aya Solos: Solar - Spit it out, Honey Moonbyul - Eclipse, Shutdown, Lunatic Hwasa - Twit, Maria Wheein - Easy, Water Color Subunit Mamamoo+ (Solar/Moonbyul): Chico Malo, GGBB, LLL
OMG. Of course you missed it because your mug was in the way. Some prankster girls (the same ones who knocked Wheeing off the merry-go-round) ended up switching the numbers on the doors so the party was actually going on next door, the Left door, not the Right door.
Love Purple Hawke's guide but I personally suggest the more recent one by Moo YT. Not just because its more recent, despite being shorter it feels a lot more genuine and personal (maybe because she used her real voice and not an AI one)
There are subs for Mr. MMO out there. They are trolling them. The lady is a ... I think famous singer and producer and she says they should sing and not just open their mouth. They should interact with her and between them and so on, but it was all an act. The people you see throughout the MV are well known artists and producers in korea. Bumkey - the guy at the beginning - had a song with them pre debut (Don't be happy). Don Spike - the guy at the piano is a producer. When he showed up at Queendom some of the girls were hyperventilating. It's a Who-is-who and shows the korean public, that her's a group, debuting from a small unknown agency, and some of the biggest names are here to make an MV with them, so they must be good. and as an extra: all fans of them will watch the MV and so get to know this new group. I think that's what you call "good PR"
12:02 You would have loved BVNDIT! 3/5 members had lovely deep and mature voices. Unfortunately their company is trash and they disbanded a while back after barely getting any activities for a long time😔 Their song "Dumb" is easily one of the best kpop songs of 2019. I still listen to it often. If you want another group with voices you'd probably appreciate I recommend Mamamoo's little sister group Purple Kiss!🥰. Easily one of the most talented groups and best performers in 4th gen kpop. Vocals, rap, dance and even writing/composing and choreographing. They're amazing at it all

Mamamoo is the best group ever and I am forever in the Solar System for my bias. Yeah woman, they are not cute teens they are women and it makes a difference. Now Solar and MoonByul are about 32 and Wheein and Hwasa are 27. And somehow Solar especially at her age still can look adorable cute like a teen, please Solar age normally like the rest of us humans. Solar and Moonbyul just released a subunit album, check out GGBB for cute and Chico Malo for well those two flipping the bird at bad guys. 3 of them have youtube channels. Though Solar has had hers for a few years, the other 2 just a year. On Solarsido, Moonbyul and Solar did their own reaction video to their own Chico Malo MV, You will find covers and things showing off Solar's talents but if you want more Pole dance, she has a couple of videos with her trainer that are incredible on that pole. Moonbyul and Wheein both have good stuff as well. Hwasa is not a youtuber but of look up a live video. Hwasa Show Mamamoo Live collection. That show episode as Mamamoo singing their newest song 1llella live, One of their best ballads at the end Paint Me, in between a Medley of other songs and each member does short version from their respective solo songs since each have Solo albums. All live with a live band. Worth a watch since it was released only a month ago.
All the people in the Mr Ambiguous video are well known korean celebrities. Baek Z Young, the lady who was being really harsh as a prank is a very well respected singer which is why they were so shook up about it
MAMAMOO will be having US Concert this May to June 😉
Their live performance is 💯
Fun fact :
Solar can pole dance
Moonbyul can sing
Hwasa can Rap
Wheein is the backbone of the group
Wheein is more like their ace. She is good at a lot of things
I dont believe in B sides with Mamamoo anymore... all those B sides rock.
Moonbyul: "Eclipse" and "Lunatic"
Solar: "Spit it out" and "Honey"
Wheein: "Watercolor" and "Make me happy"
Hwasa: "Twit" and "Maria"
@@Kreigmstr man that's sad. Purple Hawk's guide was one of the best out there.
I’m so happy that you’re diving into Mamamoo 😍😍😍😍
Mr Ambiguous:
Yes, the mustache move they do when they introduce themselves originated with Mr Ambiguous.
Here's my summary of how each member portrays Red and Passion in Egotistic:
Solar: sexy, provocative, liberated (come hither looks into the camera, sexy outfits, flies on the pole)
Moonbyul: strong, confident, independent (tosses chair, speaks down to him from the balcony)
Hwasa: wild, fierce, uninhibited (bathtub, jaguar)
Wheein: badass bitch on wheels, a hot head who wants to burn his butt and dance in the flames (temp tattoos, lowrider car, fire starter)
They can also be seen as representing four progressive stages of leaving a jerk:
Anger (Moonbyul), Defiance (Hwasa), Revenge (Wheein) and Liberation (Solar).
Here goes:
Mr Ambigous - The mv features a lot of well-known artists-- from writers, composers, producers, and singers.
Btw mamamoo is going to have a world tour next month in USA in 9 cities!!
24:14 Actually, the ice cream scene in where are we now was a reference to the scene here
If you're gonna do a guide I think most would agree Introducing Mamamoo is one of the best made.
For songs I'm a big fan of Decalcomanie, Um Oh Ah Yeah, HIP and Paint Me
Super random fun fact 14:39 the nerdy girl with the book leading the reading club is in fact AleXa, an absolutely amazing Kpop artist (from Tulsa Oklahoma of all places lol)
it always amazes me everytime reactors pick up mamamoo's strong individuality yet so they are so cohesive when they are together!
How can you not? They're like four neon lights in a world of nightlights. Wheein is the only one who could fly under the radar (to mix metaphors), but as soon as she opens her mouth, you know she's something special.
I was late getting here but will go back and catch the beginning. 💚
Mamamoo are very much confident, empowered women.
Very well said!
I agree with most of your points but the way you phrase some things seem very rooted in misogyny.. Feel like MMM themselves would frown at shading other girl groups the way comments like this do (no girl group in kpop is "trying to be little girls" wtf?)
Introduction Guide 2022 is the best one. It has 2 Parts. (1 for individual guide & 1 as MAMAMOO)
For next Mamamoo marathon: Wanna be myself, Destiny LIVE kueendom, Aya, Piano man, Starry night, Paint me
This is just my opinion on Moonbyul's voice while she rap. I fell in love with her voice way back in 2015 and still in love with her even now.
figuring them out from their other songs : taller than you, sleeping in the car, universe, zzzz,my star,
I like 'yes i am' and 'you are the best' a lot.
My bias is Solar i love how versatile vocalist she is but all of them flowing with talent that's Mamamoo❤️
On the official channel of mamamoo the MV has subtitles in English.
You're assessment of what happened in Mr. Ambiguous was pretty spot on.
Pls react to their immortal song medley u will be blown away which is one of their best live performance 🔥🔥

subscribed! thank you for the mamamoo reactions, looking forward for more. p.s. i love how you sing a long + you're so pretty btw~
💓💓💓
Loved the reaction! I really liked how you talk a little about what you enjoyed after each song! Look forward to your reaction on the guides 👍🏽
If I find it, I'll come back and post the link.
ruclips.net/video/0vikLM7MrDs/видео.html
That Moonsun moment in Wind Flower is a homage to a hong kong gay movie. No surprise it was Solar and Moonbyul who were the ones doing the homage lol
@@melnotb Interesting. Thanks for the info.
Im loving all this mamamoo marathon content from you! Keep it up, looking forward to more! ❤
Will you do a full album reactions
too? Most of my favorites lie
in their B-sides and "TRAVEL"
is the best mini album for me. ♥
I will eventually for sure!! Right now I am trying to hit most of their main hits and things so that I can go to the concert and know what’s going on!! But after that i will def dive deeper in!

I'm happy for YOU! I can't make it.
I'm waiting for European tour. I'm
not sure if they'll do it, though...
However, the backstory behind
them being perfect (or almost) at
performing is kind of sad. Their
CEO told them that they DON'T
have good looks so they can only
rely on their vocals. That's why
they work real hard at it. I'm happy
they got more and more confident
over the years. I LOVE all OF them.
@@krysivory493 Travel, one of the good songs from MAMAMOO. Great choice.
@@LexListens can you reaction to BTOB you will like their song
You should listen to the title > Decalcomanie
The MV is amazing :D
Yes, mamamoo is a group of empowered WOMEN. If you check out their Introduction Guide, you'll know that they are all fighting for what they believe in.
Mamamoo - By women, for women 🧎🏼♀️
23:12 I rewatched this more times than I should lmao
So great to watch your Mamamoo journey 💜
About the ice cream again, actually WAW has references to other mvs so the ice cream scene in the end there was a reference to this one 😊
Absolutely loving your reactions, and looks like you're getting the choreo down quickly so you'll definitely be ready to dance along at the concert!
Most people as they get to know them better cant decide and just stan the 4.
think youll love mamamoo "piano man" and where are we now also so beautiful
Another one of my favourite groups yay ❤
Hwasa is the calm one?!! I would never guess😅 i def need to check out some other stuff to see for myself!
(It became famous through TikTok, and even though it is a rookie group, it is gaining tremendous popularity around the world.) As a group representing the 4th gen, it is the group with the highest possibility of becoming a group that connects Blackpink and BTS, so please pay attention. @@LexListens Hwasa is definitely the most calm and gentle one among the members. It's a shock to new fans lol.
Aaahhh always so excited to watch someone get into Mamamoo! Will be staying tuned to your channel throughout this journey. MMM is absolutely amazing.
Welcome to the Mamamoo rabbit hole!!!!
And yes, they are women, strong independent women!
On immortal song.. Am sure mamamoo make you crazy... I love my queen mamamoo... 😍😍
Yes, they are my group and they are my queens 🤩
for the guide idk if you chose one already but this one (in 2 parts) is very good and recent-ish (1 year old) m.ruclips.net/video/c5VpPrwjziM/видео.html&pp=ygUNbWFtYW1vbyBndWlkZQ%3D%3D (part 1 members) and m.ruclips.net/video/UYRzCrh4avs/видео.html (part 2 group)
Yess the mustache is from their debut song.hehe
Watch the videos where they change the lyrics in a lot of scenarios to fit the audience.
Rewatching...
Mr. Ambiguous... Solar is 23, Moonbyul 21, Wheein 19 & Hwasa 19(just the actual baby LoL)
Love the earlier Jazz/R&B songs.
They did mess with them, it was real... Everyone in the M/V are people RBW's CEO knew... He called in favours to have them in the M/V
The Prank played on them... their Faces are priceless.
It would be great to watch IMMORTAL SONGS MEDLEY AND THEIR QUEENDOM PERFORMANCES. :)
You have to see Introducing Mamamoo by Moofin it is very well done and it helps very much getting to know them ❤❤❤
I think the best and most updated guide is the one from MOO YT, it covers their solo work as well
May personal favorite: Sleep in the car, yes I am
You should watch Manamoo on Immortal Songs. To me their MV's are great, but they are so much better live. I Miss You and Backwoods are two of my favs by them on Immortal Songs, but all their songs on their are excellent.
Edit: I made a mistake, I Miss You is on Queendom, not Immortal Songs.
are you gonna go see them on their tour? it's in less than a month :D
Actually it'll be better if you check out their live stages after watching their MVs - that's when they'll really WOW you
after you react/listen to their discography as a group you should check out each of their solo works
you should def check "you're the best" and "um,oh,ah,yes"
released during the covis lockdown..about wanting to get out with friends dinga dinga
You should check the songs of Mamamoo+ "GGBB and "Chico Malo"
Mamamoo girls love ice creams, yo!!!
As for some more songs to react to: Um Oh Ah Yeah, Decalcomanie, 1cm, Starry Night, Aya
Solos:
Solar - Spit it out, Honey
Moonbyul - Eclipse, Shutdown, Lunatic
Hwasa - Twit, Maria
Wheein - Easy, Water Color
Subunit Mamamoo+ (Solar/Moonbyul): Chico Malo, GGBB, LLL
Suggest to include Wheein's Make Me Happy in the solos too. :)
Edit to add Better by MAMAMOO+ too!
💚💚mamamoo
OMG. Of course you missed it because your mug was in the way. Some prankster girls (the same ones who knocked Wheeing off the merry-go-round) ended up switching the numbers on the doors so the party was actually going on next door, the Left door, not the Right door.
Now I would recommend you to react to their guide by purple hawk.....
you should also check their MAMA performances
Love Purple Hawke's guide but I personally suggest the more recent one by Moo YT. Not just because its more recent, despite being shorter it feels a lot more genuine and personal (maybe because she used her real voice and not an AI one)
I think for subtitles you have to watch the videos on their mamamoo channel
Mamamoo ❤❤❤❤
Please react to Purplehawke’s guide! It is still the best and most iconic to date. Original user has deleted, but you can find re uploads.
They're amazing at it all
they were young as this is 2014
Women and Power... YESSSSS

Moonbyul will always and forever be my bias, while Solar will be my 91' friend!
