If you're in India, I highly recommend exploring the breathtaking destinations this diverse country has to offer. Kerala, known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, should be at the top of your list. Don't miss the unique experience of cruising through the backwaters of Alleppey on a houseboat, it's truly awe-inspiring. In Munnar, make sure to visit Suryanelli and Meesapulimala for their mesmerizing beauty, and Wayanad for the wonders of Edakkal Caves, Soochippara Falls, and Chembra Peak. Don't forget to take in the breathtaking views from Thangalpara and Justin's viewpoint in Vagamon. Wildlife enthusiasts will love Thekkady and Gavi, and kayaking at Kavayi Island is a must. Other attractions like Athirappilly Waterfalls, Munroe Island, Kuttanad, and Vembanad Lake in Kumarakom are worth exploring. If you have the opportunity, don't miss the chance to obtain a permit and visit the beautiful Lakshadweep Islands, where you can experience stunning beaches and vibrant marine life.
Next, head to the historical city of Hampi in Karnataka, where you'll be transported back in time while exploring ancient ruins and architectural marvels that showcase the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. From there, make your way to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, home to some of the most pristine beaches in Asia. Dive into thrilling water sports and captivating underwater adventures at Radhanagar Beach, Elephant Beach, Kalapathar Beach, Laxmanpur Beach, Sitapur Beach, and Ross & Smith Islands.
Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as paradise on Earth, should undoubtedly be on your itinerary. Immerse yourself in the serenity of the Aru Valley, behold the picturesque beauty of Sonamarg, experience the charm of Gulmarg, and visit the delightful hill station of Patnitop. For adventure seekers, the Gangabal Lake Trek and Betaab Valley are highly recommended. Explore the landscapes of Budgam, Kupwara, Gurez Valley, and Baisaran Valley for their natural beauty and serenity.
Venture into the awe-inspiring Himalayas, particularly Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh. Ladakh is an absolute must-visit destination with its breathtaking landscapes. Don't miss the stunning Pangong Tso Lake, the magnificent Phugtal Monastery, the thrilling Khardung-la Pass, and the serene Tso Moriri Lake. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance of monasteries like Thiksey Monastery, embrace the beauty of Nubra Valley, witness the Magnetic Hill phenomenon, and embark on the adventurous Chadar Trek. Make sure to visit other hidden gems like Kargil, Sand Dunes Leisure Park, Turtuk, and the Umling La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at an astonishing elevation of 19,020 feet, even higher than the Everest Base Camp.
In Himachal Pradesh, lose yourself in the mesmerizing beauty of Parvati Valley, Kangra Valley, Spiti Valley, and Tirthan Valley. Explore captivating destinations like Kaza, Malana, Khajjiar, Kalpa, Kufri, Bir Billing, Kasol, Jibhi, Dalhousie, Gada Gushaini, Pabbar Valley, Dev Roopa Trek, Kyelang, and Beas Kund.
Uttarakhand is another treasure trove with its natural wonders. Don't miss the awe-inspiring Valley of Flowers, indulge in the ski paradise of Auli, experience the tranquility of Chopta, and discover the quaint charm of Mana Village. Explore the lesser-known yet captivating destinations of Dharchula, Khirsu, Nelong Valley, Devprayag, and Haridwar, and make sure to visit the revered temples of Kedarnath and Badrinath. Jaikuni Bugyal, Bhimtal-Naukuchitaal, and Chakrata are also worth exploring and adding to your itinerary.
Lastly, make sure to include the enchanting northeastern states in your travel plans, such as Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. Meghalaya will mesmerize you with its stunning attractions and breathtaking waterfalls like Phi Phi Falls, NohKaLikai Falls, Wari Chora, The Living Root Bridge, Mawlynnong, Nongjrong, and Krem Chympe. Mizoram entices visitors with the scenic beauty of Reiek Tlang, while Sikkim offers attractions like the pristine Gurudongmar Lake, the vibrant city of Gangtok, the picturesque Tsomgo Lake, Lachen, Lachung, Yumthang Valley, Pelling, and Yume Samdong.
In Arunachal Pradesh, embark on an adventure to Dong, Tawang, Ziro Valley, Sela Pass, Bhalukpong, and Roing, where you can immerse yourself in the unparalleled natural beauty and cultural richness of the region.

Hey if you’re still here and can make a change in plans then I’ll definitely would suggest you have a look on Ladakh, Pahalgam, Manali, Dharmsala, Gulmarg. These are some of the Himalayan havens that most westerns aren’t aware of but is one of most beautiful region of the world. If possible the next trip make sure to visit those places as people love vloggers sharing underrated places and ends up videos getting viral. The golden quadrilateral that 90% of foreigners do is just too hectic and frustrating so it will always give you a much needed peace and you can start your journey once again afterwards! Ig
Currently sadly you will not be visit there as the region is going through hard times due to massive rain and floods, i the situation gets back to normal soon!

Advice for you if you are still in Delhi, the best way to travel long distances here is the metro, its affordable and safer than most modes of transportation.

    • @MattLaurie

@@MattLaurieum I think there has been some misunderstanding on your part. CP has 3+ metro stations and red fort is also directly connected to the metro. There's also an app specifically designed for Delhi metro users. I'd suggest you to get in touch with a local the next time you're here, nobody knows this place better than us and we'd love to show you around 😊

During 2020 Covid Pandemic lockdown, I stumbled across the music of Mizoram. I saw music videos in Zorimawi and MDM channel and I was impressed by their music. It sounded like 1970s USA. My 5 favorite Mizo Artists are the following:
    1) K Hminga he is like Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler combined
    2) Kimkima he is my favorite Indian artist in Modern times.
    3) C Sanga lived from 1974 to 2017
    4) Sangtei Khuptong
    5) Mami Varte
My 5 favorite Mizo songs are the following
    1) Zorinzuali Khiangte: Pawmalai Tingtang this song is like Stevie Ray Vaughan House is a Rockin or Stray Cats Rock this Town.
    2) Sangtei Khuptong: Di Ruk Te, this 2023 song is in disco form like Gloria Gaynor I will Survive
    3) Cassettes: E Khai, this 2021 song features slide guitars and sounds like Elmore James, Muddy Waters or John Lee Hooker.
    4) Kimkima: I zun ngaih lunglen Vangin, this song is like 1970s rock song from 2019.
    5) Zo Rock: Thahang Ngainhnobein, this song is like Scorpions Winds of Change.
Honorable Mention Anthem of the Hills.
Mizo language belongs to the Zo group and the people are mixtures of Dai and Tibetan.
