This was my freshman year in guard! It was such a big journey from this performance to my senior year Aqua!

My rookie year in the horns. If you want to feel ancient just know that no BA Pride member today was alive when we were doing this show.
This comment made my hip hurt with age.

Any chance you have BA 2004 & 2005 BOA performances? I only have local shows and the video quality is absolutely trash.

How did they get so big in a short amount of time? This looks like half or a quarter of the size they are in 2006.

Broken Arrow has also been one of the fastest growing suburbs of Tulsa, just like Jenks and Bixby.

You responded to a three year old comment. I’m dead now.

@S E Small correction: they required guard to be in band up through 2006 season. I know because I just wanted to do guard, but HAD to be in band, so I was one of the only girls in Percussion all 4 years in Pride. 15 guys and me! The drum line loved me though because I would bake them cookies for competitions and rock out on triangle or turn the music pages for them. Lol I was AWESOME at guard though. Aqua was my senior year. It was a magical show, but my personal favorite was Pure Imagination.

The simple answer is Wes Cartwright! He is a genius and started working with BA and he said “MORE GUARD, MORE MEMBERS!” The rest is history.
