What’s the movie about?
To avoid a jail sentence in the US, Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) is sent to live with his father in Japan, where he finds himself in trouble once again when he becomes a competitor in the world of drift racing.

@@broccolisidedish5014 That's iconic for sure, but this race has higher stakes, more intense driving, and better cinematography. At the end of the day, the supra v charger race was just a short straight line and it's pretty basic imo. If it wasn't in the original film almost no one would remember it.

Actually the best race in the entirety of F&F. It was unappreciated at the time because it didn't have the original cast, but tbh if it means getting back to basics & actually street/ track race focused, idc if it has a new cast every time as long as its a good story too.
Sometimes you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone. We assumed the movies would always be about racing not the Die Hard-meets Avengers-meets Borne Identity-meets Mission Impossible mess that the franchise has turned into.

everything about this race was amazing. the seriousness and suspense really put viewers leaning off their seats wondering what would happen while keeping everyone engaged. imo this is the best racing scene in the entire franchise

An RB26 swapped 65 Mustang is one of those things you never thought you needed but once you see it….😩
Also that 360 he pulled when he got hit by the 350z at 3:22 reminded me of that one scene in Initial D where Takumi managed to pull the same move when he was racing against Shigeno’s EG6 in the Tape Deathmatch.
Not having a random AE86 zoom past during this scene is one of the greatest misses in cinema history.

NFS Carbon took a *lot* of inspiration from this movie :D
- the always nighttime scenes
- Mazda Rx-8 (which the girl arrives w/ at the beginning)
- the drifting (NFSC is the first NFS w drift races)
- the asian theme even (they had asian teams in NFSC)
- the dodge was also one of the basic cars you can choose at the beginning of NFSC

Darius? That guy is more harder than Earl in Most Wanted. He's a good and challenging enemy but he is the hardest boss to beat.
Once you crash, he will always laugh like a maniac. If you're in 2nd place and took the lead, he will say these lines:
- Oh no, you don't!
- Where do you think you're going?!
However, if you lose the lead:
- I saw you pass.
- Try to keep up!
And when ramming him hard:
- Oh, I'm mad now!

Guys, if DK had focused on the race as he was in the first race in the parking lot, he would have easily won this last race against Sean. The DK is at a much higher level than even the Han itself. as Neela said they did Drift on the mountain from a very young age so DK has much more experience than anyone there in Japan Perhaps the only one there who would be able to beat DK in a real one-on-one would be Dom or Brian. But the protagonist effect made Sean win.
Even D. Shaw can beat anyone in the race.

Nah. Han would beat DK. Han's drifting is much more adept. Not to mention, Han taught some American kid who knew nothing about drifting how to master it in just a few days. One week later, Sean was skilled enough to go toe-to-toe with DK. Han's the real DK.

Funny how during the first race it was Sean that totaled people's cars because he overestimated himself, but here it's DK doing it (likely because he was overconfident in his skills).
Never underestimate you're opponents skill.
