I actually really love going into books blind, too! Horror is especially good for that - if I know what to expect, I'm not as scared! I've heard other people say that they feel overwhelmed by worldbuilding, and omg that couldn't be LESS my experience.
👻 thank you!! and good to hear - when I was looking into it again for this video, I was meh on it compared to all of the others, but you just made me excited to pick it up 😃
I read magic lessons this year and absolutely loved it! Way more than practical magic which I read last year. I think I’ll save the series too with just one book a year.
Yay! I'm even more excited for it now!! also it's definitely been fun to have another book in that series to look forward to each fall - I would usually binge a series especially if it has a cliffhanger ended, but these are so much more relaxed that it made me want to savor them haha
@@EmsCozyverseyes! It makes it so precious to savor a series like that. By the way, if you like the practical magic series I think you would also love the secret history of witches by Louisa Morgan. It’s about magic being passed down through generations of women and it shows mother / daughter relationships in the most heartbreaking and beautiful way. It’s one of my all time favs. ❤
Ooh I’m excited for you! T Kingfisher is amazing and has such a variety of books.
I just started it today and I'm SO EXCITED! I can already see it as a movie in my head

ditto!! I think that's why I do the same with fantasy - as little info as possible so even the world is a surprise!!
I really enjoyed The Familiar, hopefully you like it, too! And I really love your ghosty shirt, so cute and Halloweeny!
