FAQ: Why is it okay for the Duck Hunt Dog to be hurt but not the goose? The Duck Hunt Dog is COMPLETELY cartoon style. It has big doofy forward-facing eyes, human teeth, and can manipulate it's limbs like a person. There is a clear difference between fighting Duck Hunt and a Nintendog.
I don’t think I like this idea, I think he could easily be a playable fighter. It would probably main him because, why would i not lol. Plus Goose would be extremely situational, the opponent would most likely not be holding a item, if not they could easily read his actions and throw their item away before Goose snatches it.
It would look sort of like what happens with the Banjo special, where tapping it in place will have them standing up, but moving around will make the goose duck their head and flap their wings while honking.
Wait, I have an even better idea. Alt Victory Screen The goose goes and messes around behind a camera on a big pile of TVs, then reveals itself by hopping on the top of the pile.

Well this is random. Fitting, really. As funny as a Goose just walking around honking and beating up people would be, it’s definitely more suited for an Assist Trophy then an actual fighter. This was still really funny, though.

I got my own ones! Normal, ribbon, groundskeepers clothing and keys in pocket, goose crown whitch is the reward for 100% completion, kids glasses, maby one canadian goose, mario outfit as the game was ment to be like mario 64 once and last but not least two houses on his head as a hat

I was actually kidding about the Goose. I actually made a joke about this character under one Nathaniel Bandy's recent videos and I just found this video today. This is actually hilarious.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one wanting to see someone for a Goose moveset, and PDMG makes some of the best moveset alongside Brawlfan1. I love this idea.
What's great about this moveset is how well it captures the feeling of the goose; an incredibly ANNOYING character who can stun you, spin you around and get away quickly. Awesome moveset - I'd love to play this.
Here is how the trailer can go: Donkey kong, K rool, Diddy kong, Banjo and Kazooi are resting, just like in the last trailer. They all hear something outside. Outside there is a shadowy figure that looks like the goose. They all know that it's just another trick so they ignore it. Donkey Kong goes to grab a banana but there are none left, also Banjo and Kazooi's instruments are missing. Donkey Kong looks everywhere but can't find them. Then he looks back at the shadowy figure and notices that he has the stuff, so they all chase after him. They all fall into a ditch. The shadowy figure looks at them. Then he lets out a big "honk!!!" revealing himself to be the goose. Then it will say "goose" because it's untitled. After that it cuts to gameplay. The trailer will end with Kazooi trying to fly them out before the goose drops a bucket on her head, causing her to crash back down to the ditch.
I honestly thing literally the only thing keeping Goose from being a fighter in ultimate would be the concern for violence against a more realistic looking animal. Then again many characters are animald but Goose is based of an actual goose and not a more cartoonish character.

The “shoo. Go away!” Substitute they brought up at the beginning fixes that issue. They don’t have to hurt The Goose, they just need to get him out of the ring. Honestly, this actually makes Ridley’s down b even meaner when you think about it. Since the Goose dodges attacks and takes damage from the fear, Ridley is actually just being a sadistic jerk and giving the poor creature a heart attack!
This is so dumb and I love it XD I think it's even better that you didn't even give an explanation or rundown of why you picked it. Really makes it feel like a passion project. I especially like how you gave the Goose unique reactions to attacks, like it isn't so much being attacked as it is just mildly bothered. Making movesets for characters that are either weird, or otherwise not considered because people don't think they can work as a fighter are some of the most fun to do, especially to prove that they can be fighter material. Some of my favorites thag I've made were for the Galaga Fighter and Freddy Fazbear, and I'm really proud of how they came out
I like the idea you pitched about the Goose's damage gauge representing its composure, and the goose "dying" is actually it being shooed into the blast zone.

Characters have different edge attacks when they're at 100% or more damage. So, Goose would have a slower and shorter distance version of the normal edge attack.
*A smash letter falls into a tennis court with it being whacked by tennis rackets with familiar logos of the mushroom kingdom, this goes on for a while until it lands in front of a pair of orange shoes, the camera pans up to see a happily surprised Waluigi. He reaches down to grab it but a orange beak picks it up first. The goose from the untitled goose game honks at a shocked Waluigi then runs away honking while Waluigi chases after the goose.*
I feel like Goose would work better as an Assist Trophy; It could run around the stage, pick up items that are currently on the stage, or maybe randomly steal items from players who are holding them. Maybe it can "accidentally" use items, like trigger a blaster, or eat a mushroom

My god, those taunts. It's G&W 2.0. Also fun presentation with the good interrupting you as bookends. Interesting consequence of the goose forward special though: Because Holy Water counts as spawning in an item, if the Goose hard reads a Belmont trying to be sneaky he can jack their Holy Water as it's about to be thrown.
Side special - Walkie-talkie Goose throws a walkie-talkie onto the ground. Pressing any honk based attack with an opponent close by will interrupt any animation and force a run animation in the opposite direction to the walkie-talkie for a short time. Throwing it off stage will reverse aerial momentum for a short time, similar to Mario's cape as a projectile. A taunt must be used to activate it, Goose pulls out a radio while taunting and honks to activate the other talkie.
A lot of people like being a terrible goose and it getting scared away instead of pummeled into next week certainly fits its original game. However, I don't think many of them would be that choked up about beating a goose up, especially if they've encountered the dreaded Canadian goose.

This is why I love NEVER shutting down Moveset ideas for Smash. Being more open to new ideas for characters makes you able to see more unique fighter concepts have a possibility of being a contender for a future release. In this case, the Goose is such a funny and charming character that it's rather stupid and clumsy concept fits it like a glove, and not many characters have that advantage.
Given all of it's Feather's, The Goose would have to be careful with that Up Taunt. Remember Rune342's words of wisdom from the pre-Smash 4 PDMG era? "Don't play the Harmonica too much. You'll go bald."
