What holier-than-thou leftists deride as "cultural appropriation" is more often than not cultural appreciation, and is the best part-one of the only genuinely redeeming parts-of living in a multi-cultural society. You cannot peacefully live in a diverse country culture if culture is not allowed to freely diffuse between its various groups. The aim of wokeness is balkanization, which is the antithesis of harmony.
I think it's meant to be more "anything you can do, I can do better" like a power move domineering thing of pretending you can make better Chinese than the Chinese or make people hate you more than Meghan.
Yes, I don't really understand how "cultural appropriation" is considered Horrible and yet "gender appropriation" is something we have to all be 100% supportive of.
and also heard a first hand story from a lady who was an air hostess to her & she said the eyes really were incredible, so deep blue they looked violet
Usually, the greatest and more iconic divas, the real top of the top, are really nice. They know where they're standing, they feel no threat to their position, because they have already proven why they're there, so they don't feel the need to remind anyone who they are, if anything, they just feel the need to interact as humans, and that's what they do.
My mom was randomly reapplying her lipstick in a Las Vegas restroom in the 90s and out of the stall next to her walks this beautiful tall model, Brooke shields. My mom said “oh my god” in the mirror mid lipstick stroke 😂 Brooke shields immediately said hi like if she knew her and was so sweet and down to earth. Gorgeous woman
Working at restaurants in NYC and elsewhere, I've interacted with a lot of celebrities. By far the weirdest is when R Kelly whispered his breakfast order into his bodyguard's ear, rather than just telling me what he wanted. I had to seriously control my face in that moment😅.
My friend is a professional singer & she would do similar to rest her voice. When she was in " voice resting phase" I would not go anywhere with her. It gets weird.
I met Shallon in Tulum on a fan/girls trip and she was kind, beautiful, fun, down to earth, and genuinely talked to every single girl on that trip. She was everything I knew about her plus more! Love you Shallon! ❤
I'm wondering if it's a normal move of that body guard to just grab people by the crotch as some weird power move, or if he just saw an opportunity to molest a young woman and took it. So gross either way.
Agree. So many private security guards, bouncers, etc. are insecure jackasses on a power trip who have a vendetta against the world bc they couldn't have a successful career in law enforcement. Insufferable asshole working for an insufferable asshole.
I live in NYC and know a lot of people who have met Brook Shields and they uniformly say that she is lovely and polite. She makes a real effort to make people comfortable when she talks when them.
I few years ago when I was deep deep in a self destructive depression off an abusive marriage. Shallon reached out. I was no one. I’m still a normy. It cost her nothing and it meant the world to me that anyone cared that I was alive. She cared. So whatever people have to say about shallon, I adore her.
I agree... and she is super intelligent. She got into Princeton on her own merits & speaks French. Apparently through her father's side she has French Royalty connections. Her mother was an alcoholic exploitative nightmare but Brooke was loyal
My brother met Khloe Kardashian when she was filming on a set and said she was a) much smaller in real life (this was like 5-6 years ago) and 2) was very kind, lovely
Got chills when you said 'this victim entitlement is ruining our country and I'm not doing it.' You're such a good and rare example of sanity and strength. I hope to be as brave if I ever have a platform.
Make no mistake, you have a platform right where you are. Whether it’s in your office or in your family, or even in your group of friends. There’s always an opportunity to stand up to this ridiculous woke/victim narrative bullshit, which I consider one in the same.
Excellent point about “how do you treat the janitor/nurse/nanny/anyone just doing their job?” I’m a school teacher and I make it a point to tell my students to pick up after themselves. I’m not playing around with this “I’ll leave it for the janitor because it’s his job” nonsense. If it’s a mess you made, that can be easily fixed, then you clean it.
I work at a clinic and have to call clinics all the time and I can't *stand* when people answer the phone with a tone and talk down to me answering my supposedly stupid question. No matter how stupid a question I'm asked, I answer it nicely and try to be helpful. If you hate your job and other people that much, then quit. Same goes for celebrities: you wanted to be famous. If you hate it, quit.
Omg THIS. The difference between someone who is friendly and helpful on the phone compared to someone who is abrupt and makes me feel about one foot tall...like whyyy?! Do they realise they are treating ppl like that? Maybe they get a kick out of it? It's like when I come across nurses who have a shitty attitude. It's like you're in the WRONG profession dude!!!
Thank you for pointing this out... If I have to hear one more vacuous flash-in-the-pan complain about paparazzi "making their life Hell",... They CHOSE that profession, they reap the benefits, such as making enough money not to ever have to worry about how to pay for health care. The 'unwashed masses' are the very people who pay their salary, so they owe them a basic amount of respect. As you pointed out, if they can't deal with fans, paparazzi, etc. QUIT and get a real job. I hear Walmart is hiring.
A friend of mine “allegedly” ran into Mila Kunis in a Los Angeles deli and apparently she was screaming at the person behind the counter… back then I was like maybe she was having a bad day.. but me personally, I wouldn’t scream at a deli counter worker on my worst day soooo idk 🤔
Avoid Isla Fisher if you see her in The Container Store she likes to yell at staff too apparently if there’s not enough “cute” things… Jennifer Lawrence on the other hand was very chill and nice.
Interesting, I can she how she is opinionated and can tell back (like in the plunked episode where she yelled) she definitely speaks up for herself. But I also come from Russian community and grew up in the same crowds as she did. My friend’s mom is friends with her mom. For people who ran into her, I haven’t heard it, but I can see her speaking up and talking back.
I so respect that she's NEVER trashed Wendy Williams. She use to do her show and has always had nice things to say about her though public opinion differs. I trust what she says, and totally believe her
Wendy Williams has so many enemies but her crew didn't attack her meanwhile Ellen DeGeneres got attack by her crew and audience. I think Wendy Williams is really hard worker and is most of the time professional unlike Ellen
@@Daijxo yess!! i do have to say it’s funny how much people LOATHE wendy williams but ppl didn’t really dog on joan rivers the same way. even tho joan rivers arguably was way “meaner” toward people on her show. i think we all know the main reason she gets dogged on.. bc she’s a hardworking, wealthy black woman
I used to work at a music venue and met a few celebs. Mariah Carey was the biggest. She was such a diva but in a kind of weird way. Her team wanted us to find all this really specific stuff, some of which wasn't even available in the country. It wasn't really mean. She just had really high, unrealistic expectations. I also met Britney Spears. It was during her Circus Tour when she wasn't doing so well. She was super sweet but also seemed really unsure of herself at the time. Taylor Swift was another. I met her a couple of times and honestly she seems so fake to me. Everything was the "best ever" and she like love-bombs everyone because she needs to be liked. I do remember her mum challenging her on something and she just turned and gave her a full-on death stare. I think as long as she is the centre of attention and in control then everything is fine on planet Taylor. TBH I would hate to be a celebrity and famous. I don't have the energy for that many people to claim to love me.
YALL ARE SO DESPERATE TO FIND WAYS TO MAKE TAYLOR A BAD PERSON IT IS BECOMING PATHETIC. SO SHE WAS NICE TO YOU AND WHAT YOU ASSUMED WAS THAT SHE "SEEMS" FAKE?. WTF IF SHE WERE RUDE TO YOU OR INDIFFERENT WOULD YOU HAVE SAID SHE WAS REAL FOR THAT? YALL ARE SO ANNOYING GIRL YOU ARE JUST A STUPID HATER I AM PRETTY SURE YOUVE SEEN THE CLIP WHERE LADY GAGA TALKS ABOUT TAYLOR AND HOW SHE MISJUDGED HER ONLY FOR HER TO LATER FIND OUT TAYLOR WAS ACTUALLY REAL AND GENUINE ABOUT LOVING HER ALBUM ARTPOP GIRLS WILL NEVER HAVE EQUALITY COS YOU GUYS ARE YOUR OWN PROBLEM YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS AND ITS STUOID SO STFU AND GO OVER THE CORNER AND CRY
I grew up in Nashville. Carrie Underwood is known to be a nightmare at restaurants, party venues, etc. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban on the other hand are delightful.
Having spent a good amount of time on the Riverdale set - that entire cast is problematic and entitled. They all know they can hide behind their mega PR teams and stan fans to constantly excuse their shitty behavior
I can see that. I think they blew up really fast and got a big head. Same thing with Precious. But people will stop hiring you if you get a bad rap in the industry.
I agree with you about LL Cool J. I used to work at a radio station and had my photo taken with him. He was such a gentleman and gave me a big smile when my nerves overcame me. His hands and biceps were HUGE. He's a gem.
I was so not surprised when you mentioned Pauly D among the nicest celebrities you've met. He always seemed like the nicest guy in Jersey Shore and it shows how great of a person he is because it is almost impossible not to lose your temper on a reality show. I love him, he's always smiley and caring of others, never has a bad word to say about his peers.
I was like 17-18 years old. I met George Foreman. I was so excited bc I had just bought a George Foreman grill. I was hiiiiiiiii you’re the George Foreman like the grills. He was like no,, the professional boxer. I was oh you box? That’s cool, I’ve never watched boxing. He laughed and hugged me and tbh, he had the perfect opportunity to be mean to me and he was so gracious and sweet to me
My favorite celebrity I’ve met was 2 Chainz at a VMAs after party. We talked for a while and he just seemed so real. Like I would have never guessed he was a celebrity if I didn’t know who he was. Typical good dad who really cared about his kids vibes. Asked me about myself a lot. very present in conversation and just chill.
I love you Shallon. You combine smart, harsh, classy, bluntness and intelligence at the same time. I also love your insights on anything in human relationships.
Holy moly that puffy story was assault 😳 A friend of a friend worked on his yacht and said he would have parties and request (allegedly) the chef taint all the food with drugs, so no one would be sober I don't know if the guests were aware or not of what they were getting into! Of course this is through the grape vine years ago but I always think of it when I see something about him
Yeah like what is the tea: did she just not like the stuff her label wrote? Was she in a weird spot creatively? Thought it was cool to feign apathy? That was needless aggressive for someone getting complimented on their work by a stranger!
@@MalloryNewcomb well after hearing Shallon’s story I got curious and I found other terrible stories online from people who have met Lily…sounds like she’s just a garden variety tw*t!
I absolutely loved hearing about this stuff from a journalist / press POV. Really puts things into perspective. It reminds me of a recent interview MGK did with Drew Barrymore where he starts it by politely saying he is having a bad day and doesn’t want her to think his mood has anything to do with her or the interview. I think it’s nice because it shows professionalism that he showed up, kept his commitment with her but was also preventing any sort of disrespect she might feel. It’s also brave IMO because he really didn’t have to disclose how he was feeling at the time. So true though that how you treat others that seem below you in any way reflects not them but you 100%.
I saw a different interview with him when at the beginning he threw bottle of water and was really unhappy about being there. later on he explained he was having a bad day so it seems he has a lot of bad days especially when he needs to give an interview
I think my favourite iconic Shallon Lester moment is when she has roasted Lindsay Lohan in multiple videos and then hearing an ad for Lindsay’s podcast on her podcast 😂 LOVED IT
I second you Shallon, Gwen is unpleasant. I met her in early 2000s on the Hey Baby tour in London. I wasn’t a fan but through my job was invited to the gig and the backstage party afterwards. Gwen rolled her eyes when I asked for a photo but reluctantly agreed but ruined the photo with a scowl. Later one of the band’s bodyguards abruptly approached me on the dance floor and told me to come and meet Tony (Gwens bandmate and ex). I wasn’t in the mood, I didn’t know Tony and Gwen had irritated me, so i refused. The bodyguard returned later, total change of attitude, nice as pie and begged me to come and meet Tony, so i did. He was super nice and invited me back to their hotel. I ummm’d and arrrgggh’d then said no. Gwen approached with Gavin and told Tony they were leaving but Tony told Gwen lightheartedly that he wasn’t leaving until Gwen had convinced me to go with them. She forced a smile and was reluctantly nice but I turned down their invite.
Oh yes!! I forgot about dita! I interviewed her and she was really cool, she has an odd Wisconsin accent, which I did not expect 😆 but so lovely. Ugh. Rachel ray.
In defense of Kristin Chenoweth, I had a very pleasant experience working with her on her children's book from start to finish. I met her a handful of times, but every single time she was very lovely and asked me about my life outside of work and treated me with respect, which no other author has ever done, and those authors are nowhere near as famous as Kristin. That said, her publicist was not the most pleasant, and more often than not, would place roadblocks for me to speak to Kristin, as if I was disguising myself as an employee at a publishing house and was actually a Kristin super-fan. Made my job impossible, but it was all worth it when I got my signed copy of the book, and in it, Kristin has wished me luck in my theater career (something I had randomly brought up in a conversation) and that she would put a good word in with her connections.
I once worked at a hotel where my country’s Survivors reality show’s production team was staying and the host was a NIGHTMARE. He’s a total nobody and still acted like an a-list star. Even wanted us to print out like 100 pictures of him in different outfits so that he could decide what he wanted to wear every morning in that way. And demanded a walk-in closet which we didn’t have so we had to give up our staff changing room for him to hang up his clothes.
Two things: - Is there an issue with the Get him back course on your website? It doesn't seem to work for me - Can you make a video about insecure attachment styles and tips on how to overcome them?
I grew up knowing Justin Timberlake and can say he’s always stayed kind and humble. He treats his staff so well, and I’ve been told that he treats everyone who works in the venues - from management to janitors- like a superstars. He even sits, has lunch with them, and makes time to talk with them. That’s the JT I grew up with. Fun and kind. I hadn’t seen him in 14 years and he gave me VIP tickets to his 20/20 experience show because he remembered I’d go see the NSYNC shows in that city. Later, I found out that it was his mom’s reserved table he gave to me and my friend. He’s wonderful. I hope Shallon hasn’t had a bad experience with him. I also lived in LA for awhile and met a lot of people. The kindest celeb I met was Richard Dreyfus. Hugh Jackman is up there as well. Most bleh - Robert Pattinson. He shook my hand and it felt like shaking a dead wet fish. 😂 Kelly Clarkson was great, Casey Affleck wasn’t. Helena Bonham Carter, so shy and quiet. Paul Rudd and Adam Scott were regulars where I worked and I went to the same acting school as they did so I had a lot of the same teachers. They were so kind. Adam would ask after his old acting teachers which were then mine. Paul came to our school to see our play because he kept in touch with our makeup artist teacher. There are some really great people. The ones who were usually douches and snobs were strangely the ones who weren’t as famous. 😂
Kelly is great. Our friends are friends with producers and staff writers on the show and they only had food things to say about her while saying some others who recently lost the show were not.
This doesn’t surprise me at all about Justin. I met his choreographer once and asked what Justin’s really like. Marty Kudelka said Justin’s truly one of the most genuine people he’s ever known. Thanks so much for sharing!
Shallon, thanks for sharing your human experience with celebrities. It shows how we all have similar experiences when we have hurt other people’s feelings as well as having people really hurt us. I felt some of the pain of being rejected & hurt in your voice. It sucks to feel like a failure because someone else affected your work. Sending you a big hug!
Actual Japanese lady here and Gwen doesn't offend me honestly?? I've experienced a lot of racism in my day and a dorky lady saying she's Japanese and loves the culture is cringe but I weirdly appreciate it because she's so earnest in her appreciation. Sure the Harajuku girls schtick didn't age well but neither did almost everything from the aughts 💀 I've come across as obnoxiously earnest about other cultures too I'm sure but there's nothing cruel or exploitive about how she is with Japanese stuff imo
that's the problem, if you were born in Japan, a very homogeneous country, you didn't grow up with the same "radar" as an Asian-American, also, when people immigrate from other countries you won't be as offended being treated as less-American because you won't relate to being American, and won't have that expectation.
the problem is she/her group have made the cultural appropriation mistake several times; every time EXCEPT Japanese she/they immediately acknowledged and apologized. it's just as wrong as for blackAmericans not to get reparations. no one should be treated different. she is NOT earnest in her appreciation. most people with normal empathy/respect, when a black person, gay person, whomever corrects them, will examine what is said in case they need to grow in understanding. when Margaret Cho criticized the harajuku girls rightly as the "Asian equivalent of a minstrel show" she was right (and i have more i could say on the subconscious dynamic) but NOOOOO Gwen Stefani DOUBLED DOWN and said, "she doesn't GET it, they're ART OBJECTS!"
Yeah! I heard Tom Cruise was a regular in the Gay bar scene in Hollywood until Top Gun came out. So that's why people were always saying he was gay. Because a bunch of people saw him being gay. Lol
As an Indian women living in the UK we LOVE when somewhere wears/appreciate our culture, I think it's beautiful that cultures can share things. I'm literally watching this wearing jeans and a crop top lol, is that not cultural appropriation? Side note: imagine if cultures were not shared and how behind that would make our society.
Great video! I worked in the film industry for 20 years doing hair/makeup...I'm totally relating to Shallon's encounters. Imagine being SO rude to the person who's job is to make you look good!? My top 3 rudest actors/celebs EVER- Sarah Paulsen, Kristen Davis, and Sass jordan. The nicest were Mariska Hargitay, Ricki Lake, Jason Priestly, James Brolin and Nastassia Kinski. I swear, I could write a book on this topic. I laughed out loud so many times watching this- honestly- they're just people, doing a job...why do they have to be such JERKS?
@@barjoll7037 i worked in the film industry for 15 years, and it never fails me how many time i would meet major a-list actor. and i am talking like real a-list as in people who are oscar winners, and they would be super nice, and then i would meet these c and d list actors who would be total cunts.
@@ambera6101 She acted like a snob. She looked down at most of the crew members- even though they (we) had decades worth of experience. It was before she ‘made it’ so no one knew her from Adam but we all treated her very kindly as we would anyone. She was condescending and rude and miserable. I agree that she’s a really good actress- I just found her attitude ridiculously rude. It’s par for the course but always disappointing especially when you think they’re going to be so nice to work with.
I was a makeup artist for 25 + years ..worked with many celebrities...one of the nicest most genuine and charismatic man is Hugh Jackman💜💜💜 also I have mutaulfriends with Jaime Oliver and have socialised with him....he is 100% the nicest guy, such a polite, down to earth gentleman , Daniel Craig..lovely and down to earth, funny😀 a few megga famous people I could name that ate beyond arrogant rude arse holes.
I never discount anyone's experience. But I met Gwen twice in Vegas. Now to be fair this was the meet and greet but she was unbelievably nice. She was so warm to all of the fans. This is the first time I heard of anyone having a bad experience. But everyone's experience is valid especially yours Shallon. I was in a forum of people who went to meet and greets in Vegas. They all had great experiences with Gwen and J Lo. The one everyone said was awful was Britney. Like she couldn't even be nice during a meet and greet with fans.
Lil Kim back in the day said she approached Britney at an event and said she was a fan but Britney snubbed her. And Kim was a big star herself! I get the impression that Kim is a real sweetheart.
I loved this video. Julianne Hough has always given me the icks. Can you please do a video on Hilaria Baldwin? She's been so unhinged lately. Her heavy fake accent in full force with the paparazzi, her messaging on her clothing. She's a trainwreck and loving all this attention from Alec's legal woes.
I can't abide rudeness, celebs be nothing without fans and they forget that , but I do agree fans can cross aline invading private times , but in your case ur right it was a work event , makes me sick how they treated you , they ain't better than anyone else .
I think some celebrities get a big head once they’ve “made it” because they forget they didn’t make it alone. It takes a team of people to get them successful and keep their careers going and that’s what press does. The least they could do is treat them like individuals that deserve respect and appreciation in return. Like the phrase goes, it takes a village. Never forget that village.
My family vaguely knew Gwen’s family and Gwen (years ago) through being Italian American. Can confirm the whole family is weird and entitled. It’s bizarre to me how her distant relatives think they’re relevant because they share blood with Gwen
I believe that about bill Clinton, I’ve seen videos of people right after they met him ( I think it was in the town Chelsea got married) and they legit looked like they were in a daze. And he was really nice and took pictures with everyone
My dad once met Ozzy Ozbourne in the men’s room at a hotel lounge. A bodyguard stepped in fast when my dad said hi. Ozzy was really chill though and told the bodyguard “Nah he’s alright” and even ended up posing for a photo together. I thought that was really nice of him. I mean, it’s probably not idea to be greeted by a fan when you’re just trying to use the damn loo!
I was on a flight to London and Ozzy and Sharon were in the elevator with us. Gave a knowing nod. He was really cool. My co-workers Mom sat right next to him and they talked to each other most of the flight. REAL ACTUAL A+++++ (Cue A Christmas Story...) famous people are actually NICE and normal. Ozzy and Sharon were that way, The Edge (from U2) the most elegant man - nice and NORMAL. The jerks are low level famous. We stay away from low-level famous. haha.
@@rubyjeanne1667 Indeed…when I worked in a very famous regional theatre in San Diego, the nobody actors trying to make it were the worst and the big names that came in to do a play were nice. Very odd…
I think it’s more about the people who either care about the craft or have worked their way up, who know how to treat people better. They care or they have had the experience of being on the other side. The stars who got famous early or were already in the right circle, success gets to their head.
One of my extended family members lived in the apartment block Natalie Portman was staying at while filming Star Wars in Sydney, he said she was really rude and he wasn’t a fanboy or anything.
The only one who surprised me was Precious. Stafani and Portman, always got bad vibes from them from day one, not knowing much about them. My friends saw Natalie Portman at lunch one day at lunch and they waited for her to finish and leave the restaurant before they asked for her autograph. She said no and ran away from them at full sprint. My friends stood there stunned. Nat you wanted to be a movie star. Autographs come with the territory. And Jesus! With the Pdiddy interview! That's assault!
My husband, who works in radio, says the real story floating around in the radio business about Carrie Underwood’s face was it was botched plastic surgery. Oh, but he did say that he spent time with her at a concert at the very beginning of her career and she was very sweet so…?
My friend was an au pair for one of Brook Shields friends. She said Brooke always asked about her when she would come over & went out of her way to greet her. I thought that was super sweet of her.
I knew that Guy Fieri is awesome. He does a lot of charity work and feeds food insecure people. Never watched his show or ate at his restaurants but I'm still a fan bc he's a good man regardless of his silly hair.
Loved this 😂😂😂❤❤ please make more of these personal experiences. Literally like the only person who can talk for so long and keep my attention the whole time !!!
I bumped in to Victoria Beckham when she was a Spice Girl in the BBC TV Center bathrooms. She was entering and I was exiting and she was really nice, and held the door open.
I used to work in a high end salon in NYC and celebrities came in all the time… Sheryl Crow was 🤮she complained about having to wait with the “normies” in the waiting room….Matthew McConaughey sooooooo sweet, Sarah Jessica Parker such a sweetheart, Mila Jovovich, Charlize Theron, Liv Tyler, Laetitia Costa, Salma Hayek, Heidi Klum… all lovely. Ben Stiller BIG as*hole- he came in with “orders” for no one to talk to him. Natasha Lyon… eh, and Naomi Campbell was such a diva. There’s more, but I really like Gwen Stefani 🤗!!! Mario Cuomo? I was surprised about Gwen (because she worked her way up), Denzel Washington, and Natalie Portman. The later two because they (externally) seem so polished as actors. You'd think they could class it up relatively easy.
Somehow all of these make sense to me and this is how I imagined certain people, nice and not so nice. You can tell people have a good aura or a bad vibe from afar, but it's interesting to hear you confirm it. I can't stand celebrities who think they are above every person who has a normal job, which can be way harder than being a celebrity. Like who do YOU think you are? Without the media, none of them would be as famous or rich as they are. Literally the media made them!

New money mentality vs old money mentality. People who are confident in themselves would never treat somebody in a rude way just because they consider themselves "higher" in any way.

Hope you're doing better now

It makes me so happy that Brooke Shields is nice in person, she really exudes kindness
I agree... and she is super intelligent. She got into Princeton on her own merits & speaks French. Apparently through her father's side she has French Royalty connections. Her mother was an alcoholic exploitative nightmare but Brooke was loyal
I love her ❤
She's NOT. As around at Las Vegas casinos.

I know a few people who worked with her. They both said she is a kind and lovely woman.

It’s true. Victim mentality has created Incels which has led to most single shooter incidences. This entitlement and victimhood are DANGEROUS

Right?? I can’t imagine what someone slicing turkey could do to provoke me into an absolute meltdown.

This seems spot on. I love her music but her personality has never sat right

100% my “interaction” with her was equally as rude.
I grew up in Nashville. Carrie Underwood is known to be a nightmare at restaurants, party venues, etc. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban on the other hand are delightful.
Ugh...that's sad I really like her music and that book she came out with.I did go to the cry pretty tour and I waved at her and she waved back.
I was on Keith’s tour bus once (with friends, nothing untoward) and heard him sexy talking to Nicole, it was cute!
On American Idol Simon Cowel already refered to that Carrie was not a cool person.... somehow it stayed with me...
glad to hear that of nicole Kidman, she seems cool and joyful.
I live 1 town over from her hometown, I can attest to this.
Having spent a good amount of time on the Riverdale set - that entire cast is problematic and entitled. They all know they can hide behind their mega PR teams and stan fans to constantly excuse their shitty behavior

@@MalloryNewcomb well after hearing Shallon’s story I got curious and I found other terrible stories online from people who have met Lily…sounds like she’s just a garden variety tw*t!
I like the way Kate Winslet just treated a young journalist and helped encourage her
I absolutely loved hearing about this stuff from a journalist / press POV.
MGK acts like a manchild

Dita Von Teese is an absolute joy meeting her after one of her shows she took pics with everyone made small talk and Rachel Ray just so damn mean

That’s so embarrassing for him lol wow 😭
That Brooke Shields line… just the right amount of assertiveness, wisdom and warmth I have always imagined her to have. Melted my heart Shallon

“A dorky lady” lmaooo 💀
that's the problem, if you were born in Japan, a very homogeneous country, you didn't grow up with the same "radar" as an Asian-American, also, when people immigrate from other countries you won't be as offended being treated as less-American because you won't relate to being American, and won't have that expectation.
the problem is she/her group have made the cultural appropriation mistake several times; every time EXCEPT Japanese she/they immediately acknowledged and apologized. it's just as wrong as for blackAmericans not to get reparations. no one should be treated different. she is NOT earnest in her appreciation. most people with normal empathy/respect, when a black person, gay person, whomever corrects them, will examine what is said in case they need to grow in understanding. when Margaret Cho criticized the harajuku girls rightly as the "Asian equivalent of a minstrel show" she was right (and i have more i could say on the subconscious dynamic) but NOOOOO Gwen Stefani DOUBLED DOWN and said, "she doesn't GET it, they're ART OBJECTS!"
I’ve been around quite a few celebrities and the kindest were Rob Lowe, Heath Ledger, and Sidney Poitier.
Rob Lowe is so handsome! 💙
I’m so sorry to hear about the p diddy assault. That’s completely inexcusable and makes me so mad.

You can just tell Ben Stiller is a huge Ahole and not just because Dodgeball. I just can’t stand him, for no reason really, just because he’s a d--
Oh man 😮I hadn’t expected that Denzel Washington is a nightmare to interview he seems so down to earth 🙈 I guess the Glass is shattered 😭😅
My brother's friend is a flight attendant and says the same thing about him
@@donteverfckwithmyvibe interesting! Would have never thought. He seemed so wholesome for a moment
@@malovina this might make you feel better about Denzel had the pleasure of spending a weekend with he and Paulette with my partner..
You are delightful as could be it was a while back maybe he found in snobby with time ..
He always looks like he doesn't want to be there,he doesn't look like the nicest person person to me.
Part 2 please!! British celebs? Authors? Film directors? Jason Momoa? PLEASE!!
I would like to know about House of the Dragon cast, they seem to be chill.
I love how you mentioned Wendy!! I miss the Shady Shallon show segment!
I'm so happy to hear about Ellen Page, Carrie Underwood and Natalie Portman. I can't stand them!
I saw Guy at Costco, he was filming in the store. I winked at him and he winked back. Always a cool guy.
I was surprised about Gwen (because she worked her way up), Denzel Washington, and Natalie Portman. The later two because they (externally) seem so polished as actors. You'd think they could class it up relatively easy.
Honestly this went by really fast. Like always very entertaining and honest ❤
‘I’m sorry this video is so long’??!!? Girl, I’d love for all of your videos to be this long or more
I'm so sorry that bodyguard sexually assaulted you, so sad and disgusting....I'm sorry you had to experience that at work of all places!!
I get a really bad vibe from henna irtrnga... She seems so pretentious and like she takes herself v serious!
The way Shallon explains things is so dramatic but hilarious lol.
Yup I love Guy Fieri as well and you’re right. I worked at his restaurant in Las Vegas for 5 years and he’s down to earth and so cool♥️ Pauly D has gone there a few times to eat. Very nice. Restaurant at linq Hotel on the strip. Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar♥️💗💗
Shallon this is off topic, but your victim mentality video put me in check. Recently started therapy too. You definitely empower women to take care of themselves in a multitude of ways. And you’re entertaining as hell. I could listen to you all day ❤
Which video is that?
lilly Allen has been always rude. nepotism baby who doesn't know about good manners.
I am a chef and won Guy's Grocery Games in Season 2. Guy IS the nicest person and really down to earth. Did a show with Bobby Flay and he is a TOTAL douche.
@@jo-eo9ld What is Mesa Grill in NYC? I also ate there back in the day. It was trash. Blue corn tamales?!?!? Hispanic women from San Jose or LA would spit on his shoes and could teach him a thing or 20 about how to make good Hispanic based dishes. Bobby was cruel to PAs which is just the lowest of the low in the biz.
Aw, Lily Allen? Well damn. I used to love her. I'm glad her brother Alfie blew her fame out of the water then.
New money mentality vs old money mentality. People who are confident in themselves would never treat somebody in a rude way just because they consider themselves "higher" in any way.
Omg same I met Danzel in Miami. So weird, he was unpleasant . He Made me feel a little uncomfortable.
OMGGG YESSS FINALLYYY!!! I’ve been waiting for shallon to make a video on all the famous people she’s met. Whenever she talks briefly about random celebs and the tea she knows about them I’m always dying for her to spill it. This is soooo iconic!!!
Jack Black was an asshole to me. He thought I worked for him and legit started yelling at me to get him "a f*cking bottle of water." I was shocked. I was always there for setup because I always ran a booth for my company..for MY own boss. I met a lot of musicians this way... but he was the worst. Dave Grohl...definitely the nicest.
I’ve heard bad stuff about Jack black. And Jonah hill is supposed to be THE WORRRRRST
It's always the fatties
@Sandy Shores I mean..he coulda really wanted that water. Hahah
Dave Grohl was an absolute gem when I met him. He talked to us like he was just an ordinary guy interested in meeting us as people.
@@GW-gz8jh David Grohl was SO NICE!!! I'd say Dave and Mike Patton were the nicest I met!
I want to hear stories about Carrie Underwood asap!
Im honestly shocked to hear about Kristen Chenoweth....she always struck me as someone who would be super nice in person but....just goes to show you!
I worked with her recently. She was so much fun and so very sweet🙌🏼💗😊
One of my friends worked with her on broadway and said she’s really tiny and cute and bubbly/spritely…might just be her publicist!
@@JB-1007
Absofreakinlutely!!😊
@@JB-1007 Yea I work in theater and I had always heard good things! Hopefully it was either the publicist or just a bad day!
One hour video from Shallon❤nothing makes me happier in this world❤❤❤
