Neonate workup and product choice

Hi! Welcome to Blood Talks!
In today’s video we will be talking about blood type, antibody screen, crossmatch and DAT for neonate patients. I will also include choosing the right kind of products for the patient as well.
Additional information that I like to add to the video is that the reason we give O neg red cells is for potential emergency use only. It is good for any baby and we don't have to try and get fresh blood in multiple types. When it is not an emergency, preemies and exchange transfusion, we use it until expires (21days) for any neonate.
