It’s so pretty! I had to let mine go, I just couldn’t handle all the spider mites.

Ugh spider mites are the worst! If you clean your leaves down regularly with water (or neem oil) and wipe over them you shouldn't have any troubles with spider mites. It works wonders 🫶🏼

Yeah, it definitely helps but I travel a lot and every single time, I come back to spidermites on the velvet philos, it’s so annoying 😂. I still have my Glorious and Splendid and they aren’t as bad with the mites thank goodness.

Great advice! Mine still won’t size ip fast enough and just outgrows every pole so fast but stays the same size. I don’t like moss poles so I’m working in hard mode. I use wooden stakes.

It's tricky with wooden stakes because the aerial roots can't form a root system on that. The bigger the root system, the larger the leaves will get.
I totally get not liking moss poles, they are kinda ugly haha....but very essential for big leaves unfortunately!
Good luck with your verru 💖

Hi! Can you tell me how to acclimate it to my environment? I’m afraid of it shriveling up.

@@mxj28 I usually set up a plant where I want to keep it long term and then keep a portable humidifier on it occasionally to help with the adjustment. Start using the humidifier less and less after a week or two 🙂
